KnightWing
I liked it. Didn't quite love it. After the first 20 minutes, it was nonstop cartoon insanity, which was probably necessary. But the biggest problem is that, while the ending basically is the same as in the comic, it's not done as well. Ramona doesn't have her awesome development at the end, and therefore has no real character arc. When she and Scott get together at the end, it leaves the audience with a "wait, what the hell?" moment. Also, the final boss fight was less epic. Also, Michael Cera portrays Scott as a giant, dopey jackass, rather than the comic's Scott, who was a lovable and completely accidental jackass. But, a massive positive: THEY HAD ACTUAL ZELDA MUSIC IN THE SCORE. O_O
Koete
Not off to a good start at the box office...
KnightWing
It'll probably be a bigger hit on DVD anyway. It needs some good word-of-mouth. Also, not being released alongside the ultimate chick flick and the ultimate man movie might have helped.
Stavros
Not off to a good start at the box office... Don't really care that it's not a massive hit, I just want to be able to see it, and I don't think its lack of major success is going to Stop Edgar Wright making more films. It's not like a sequel is in the offing. Besides, its guaranteed dynamite on DVD and Blu Ray.
dc20willsave
Agreed. This is going to be a word of mouth movie.
Molly
Edgar Wright made Michael Cera look like a badass. ...I don't even have words.

Venneh
Yeah, I'm going to try and get my mom to see this with me, if not with the whole family. I need to see this again before I go to Japan. So, favorite Exes? Mine were the Vegan, Roxy, and Gideon. (FREEZE! VEGAN POLICE!)
Stavros
Vegan Todd was cool, although the punching the moon thing was underplayed considering its import in the book. But that's probably the only time I thought about something this film was missing. Yeah, those were the best three exes.
KnightWing
Routh did an amazing job with Todd. His "I'm going to kill you, Scott Pilgrim" look was hilariously awesome. Also, Bass Battle!
Venneh
Took my Mom to see this last night. And she actually liked it. (Didn't get most of the vifdeo game references, but.) ...The world may be coming to an end.
ShaunKL
I have not had much experience with Michael Cera outside of Arrested Development so I have not much bias there. That said, I loved it, I want to read the graphic novels now! Is it worth it?
KnightWing
That said, I loved it, I want to read the graphic novels now! Is it worth it? They're better than the movie, so, yeah. The movie doesn't really have time to get into the character development. Also, the comic doesn't have Michael Cera being a lazy douchebag. Although Internetmas is later on today, and I've been praying super-hard to broadband Jesus.
