There’s so many comics on there that I haven’t read, I almost feel bad for pulling for the handful I really want to succeed. Asterios Polyp is one of my favourite comics ever, but I have no idea how good the other nominees in that category are (except for The Hunter, which was my second favourite comic released last year).

The 2010 Bill Finger Award goes to the late Otto Binder and Gary Friedrich in recognition for their achievements as writers in the medium. Otto Binder created the Bottled City of Candor and Supergirl and he told some of the first Bizarro stories. Gary Friedrich was a part of the legendary Marvel Bullpen of the 60s and he created Ghost Rider.

Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailers Award goes to The Vault of Midnight in Ann Arbor Michigan.

Comic Book Hall of Fame Awards goes to Bob Montana, Burne Hogarth, Steve Gerber, Dick Giordano, Mike Kaluta & Mort Weisinger.

Russ Manning Award goes to Marian Churchland for her work on Beast for Image.
