Danger Girl

Producer Adrian Askarieh (Hitman) revealed in an interview at the Los Angeles Times that Todd Lincoln will direct and executive produce a big screen version of the comic Danger Girl for Askarieh and his producing partner Daniel Alter.

Lincoln just wrapped The Apparition last week and also wrote the upcoming Hack/Slash adaptation for Askarieh and Alter.

Askarieh describes the comic as follows:

I would describe it as "Kill Bill" meets "Raiders of the Lost Ark" with the "team" element of "Mission: Impossible." I would say to the uninitiated that the book is a smart, hip, fun and beautifully drawn love letter to the best action/adventure movies of the last 30 years. It is the story of a lost girl who, through this incredibly kick-ass adventure, finds her destiny, comes of age and helps save the world.

Kill Bill, seriously? Danger Girl's main plot features no revenge storyline, no karate, no daughter, and no out-of-order storytelling. But, yeah, besides that it's just like Kill Bill, because, you know, it features a lot of women.

It's fucking James Bond and Charlie's Angels crossed with Indiana Jones, with a splash of GI Joe.
