Venneh
Ladies and gents, for those of you who have not read the books, welcome to the shit, it's only gonna get crazier.

Stavros
Oh man, I'm checking out youtube reaction videos now. I've waited so long to watch people experience this collective kick in the nads. Epic.
Venneh
And mine are long, and sharp my lord, as long and sharp as yours... Yeah, the next 48 hours are going to be epic, fandom reaction wise.
Stavros
I'm reminded of a quote by the straightforward and remarkably simple Miss Prism from The Importance of Being Earnest- “The good ended happily, and the bad unhappily. That is what Fiction means.” She was never more wrong than today.
Koete
If Michelle Fairley doesn't submit that episode for every award, I'll be shocked.
Venneh
The fallout that's coming from this, show wise, is gonna be spectacular. What they showed us isn't the end of it. Book Spoiler: Lady Stoneheart is likely going to be the ending shot for Season 4, and I can't fucking wait for that.

JackFetch
Check out this reaction to the episode.
Dread
My favorite part of the episode is that it did away with the plotline I couldn't give a shit about.
Molly
My favorite part is that people are surprised. Robb and Cat had been the biggest idiots on the show for a couple of seasons. Idiots die badly in this mythology. At least Robb married a Lannister Bannerwoman in the books, not just some hot foreign girl, who served no political purpose. dc20willsave
I love how you go into both the series and the novels with the Starks as your main characters and then they start falling off the grid, one by one.
Venneh
Honestly, I'd love to see a count of the POV/main characters throughout the books, and how many of those get killed off by each book, as a percentage.
Stavros
I worked out the percentages without going into specifics on the who/what/where/when/how Of the 31 POV characters in the series 12 die (about 37%), but if you remove the prologue/epilogue characters then it's just 5 of the 24 (Just 21%)
Venneh
Still, that's a 1 to 2 in 5 chance of dying if you're a main character.
Kenny Evil
Robb Stark! King in the North! Robb Stark! King in the North!
Venneh
Also, way to make that last scene super awkward, guys. book and last night's ep in the book, the slaves are pretty much all races, not just darker skinned. the whole thing was awkwardly blocked, shot, and turned into white savior crowd surfing. Kenny Evil
Hannah, I assume that was because they were shooting in Morocco which is 99% Arabic. That's not just a figure, I've plucked out of the air, literally 99% of the Moroccan population is Arab-Berber and therefore would be dark skinned. Venneh
That's the hope, on my end. Super awkward, otherwise.
dc20willsave
Taking a moment to think on it, last week's episode with the red wedding felt like the real season finale and this week was more like the wrap up from it/let's see where everyone is coming out of season 3 and going onto season 4. Also, its nice that some of the people are actually remembering, "oh yeah, there's that wall thing."
Molly
That's my big problem with Dany in general, she's really coming across as White Guilt: The Character. Stannis, however, is the frickin' man.
Venneh
All hail Davos Seaworth, the only decent man left in Westeros. ... He's screwed. And honestly, for splitting the source material in two, this was a relatively good point to leave the season at. You kinda had to wind down after last week, and then just start to get things ready to spring for the shitstorm that will be S4.
Kenny Evil
This isn't a Game of thrones thing, it's a HBO thing. With their drama series the penultimate episode is where the big shit goes down and the final episode deals with the aftermath.
