JackFetch
Seeing how I doubt Portman is coming back, you might get your wish.

JasonC
That film was ALL Simonson Thor. If it was all Simonson, they'd have squeezed Beta Ray Bill in somehow.

Simonson's run is more than BRB. In tone, this film even got it right.

Missy
If at some point Thor does not turn into a frog, I will consider the entire Marvel Movie Universe a failure.

Venneh
So, just got back from seeing this with my mom and little sister. Pretty thoroughly enjoyed Loki, and goddamn, I wish we could've gotten more with Frigga, in both this movie and the last. Hiddleston pretty much stole the show on all fronts. They had a lot going on in this movie that managed to come together pretty well all things considered, but man, things were really jumbled there for a while. Also, bless that Chris Evans cameo. JackFetch
I just watched it. I don't know what I feel about it yet. It seems like some people phoned in their performances this time. I didn't hate it, but there were times I was bored. I did enjoy Zachary Levi more than I expected to.
James D.
Just saw it and I enjoyed it a lot. It had plenty of WTF deus ex machine moments, but I thoroughly enjoyed the final fight. Loki was gold as always, but why wasn't he given more screen time, god damn it?! The Chris Evans cameo was fucking GREAT. Loved the ending, and can't wait for the fallout from it. Also loved the random Benicio del Toro cameo in the mid-credits scene.
Guest
The best and worst thing about these movies is Loki. He's so interesting and full of subtlety that the rest of the movie suffers when he's not on the screen. Everyone else is just bland, comic relief, or an unnamed Asgardian in a silly hat. Natalie Portman may as well have been a piece of sheet rock.
KnightWing
Natalie Portman may as well have been a piece of sheet rock. I would pay money to watch a movie where Thor carries around a piece of sheet rock or a standee of Natalie Portman and interacts with it as if it's a person. Dread
Honestly, if Marvel wants to move beyond where they are, they need a compelling villain that is not Loki.
Stavros
Red Skull would be closest. I don't see Guardians yielding anything in the dept aside from furthering Thanos. What they really needed was a real nemesis for Stark, instead of wasting the second movie on Whiplash.
Pan-dub
The evil Senator in Iron Man 2? He was definitely more threatening than Sam Rockwell
James D.
Red Skull could be epic, but I don't see him returning unless he is resurrected for Captain America 3. And it's really a shame Hugo Weaving doesn't want to ever play the role again because he was perfect for it.
Dread
I sincerely hope that GOTG has a drastically different look than the snippet we saw at the end of Thor 2 because that looked like a Red Dwarf episode. Which is not a compliment, by the way. Honestly, I thought Thor 2 is the only place where Loki really worked. He was okay in The Avengers, and he did say "quim" which was awesome. He worked best opposite Stark and Hulk more because those guys worked in that movie.
Stavros
I think whoever is behind the Winter Soldier could be interesting, but in terms of crossover villains Loki might be it. Unless Ultron shows up in another film after Avengers 2. Then again I'm not really an Ultron fan, and I doubt he could be as good as Loki. And it is a damn shame the Weaving Red Skull isn't coming back as he'd be just what The Project needs - ie/ not relying on Loki to carry all of the villain side until Thanos finally shows up. I REALLY want to see Justin Hammer come back - he's pretty much the best thing about Iron Man 2.
Stavros
Agreed. He should have played a role in Iron Man 3. That's 3's biggest issue, not tying into the universe enough.
KnightWing
I kinda hated Justin Hammer, to be honest. He was the biggest example of the biggest problem I had with Iron Man 2: it was more of a vehicle for the actors to show off their personas and "chemistry" rather than being an actual good story.
