prez
It wasn't mind-blowing, but I enjoyed it. I liked the brightness of it because, yes, it was certainly a shift from the Matt Murdock we're used to. But it's a bit jarring, isn't it? This guy just took over part of New York and tried to kill a bunch of his friends. Now he's Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky? And he's just ignoring the fact that everyone knows he's a superhero? Particularly with the excuse "Ah, people forget stuff," that's just lazy writing.
SuaveStar
I've heard a lot of people gush about how awesome and badass a villain Dr. Doom is, but, having never been a Fantastic Four fan, have never really understood why. What would be some trades to pick up for some good Doom stories? A quick google search and the Bendis boards. Mostly it's saying you should try out the John Byrne FF run from the 80's. Also, if you can find it, Secret Wars 1 by Jim Shooter is supposed to be a great story featuring Doom and all the big players in Marvel during the 80's. Secret Wars is kinda clunky and hopelessly 80s, but Doom is pretty great in it.

dc20willsave
Books of Doom (A retelling of the origin of Doom.) Unthinkable (A story that looks at Doom's more mystical roots.) John Bryne's run on Fantastic Four is just made of awesome Doom moments.
Stavros
Spider-man 666 strongly implied that Ben Reilly is back. The Jackal has mutated Kaine into a giant spider-thing and is given a supposedly more perfect clone to do similar. I really hope this isn't a Clone-Wars style wrong-foot, if they actually bring Ban back I'll be ecstatic. He's a great guy to fill Spidey's spot in certain areas, plus I like Peter having someone equal to play off. He's pals with Wolvie, but aside from that Johnny is dead and all his other friends are chicks or Ben Grimm. It's about time he had someone to actually relate to. Plus it'd be nice if Spidey could ditch the Avengers and just stick with the FF, and let Ben get involved on that front. Wonder if they bring him back they'll try a new costume? I'd think they'd give him a version of the Iron Spider, but it has to be new. Parker's whole deal these last 2 years has been having as many different costumes and therefore action figures as possible.

dc20willsave
Can we just have a team that calls itself The Masters of Evil again?
Stavros
Can we just have a team that calls itself The Masters of Evil again? No. You have to be a cartoon supervillain to do that. Magneto, Osbourne and the current Baron Zemo are all a little more nuanced than that.

SuaveStar
For real? Really?? Goddamnit they'd better keep Journey Into Mystery going. I think they are, with Thor going to hell being the main story for that book.
dc20willsave
I'm sure it's temporary. For starters, it's still being called The Mighty Thor.
