Guest
Will has inspired me to post my favourite Street Fighter shirts.
dc20willsave
1) I'd totally drink Dragon Punch. 2) Is it bad that shirt #8, I had to go right away to check to see if that was the proper order on the character select screen? Guest
Japanese video game covers are so much better than ours it's not even funny.
Missy
How come American Kirby looks pissed? Does he need to be XTREME~! to sell well in North America?
Guest
You would not be the first to ask this question. Someone somewhere got paid to tell people that no one would buy an all-ages game starring a pink fluff ball traveling through a magical land unless he was ANGRY. dc20willsave
Japanese Kirby is happy that it is one day fated to eat the Earth whole. American Kirby is angry that it has to wait.
Guest
Some cool videos by Adam Koralik, who is a massive Dreamcast nerd and has an entire Youtube channel devoted to it.
Guest
Often on Extra Lives I'll reference my dislike for the modern day FPS. Most of them are decent enough games, but really seem to blend together creatively. Here are some examples of first person shooters that I do like, aside from the obvious ones like Team Fortress 2 and Deus Ex. PO'ed, a forgotten game from the 3DO era that involved a chef with a jetpack that fought aliens. Not the greatest game in the world, but pretty funny. No One Lives Forever, which kinda fell off the radar completely despite being really goddamn good. A cool female protagonist and some groovy 60s parody. Worth checking out. Breakdown. One of those cool XBox exclusives that I'm so fond of. Unique for the time in that the game never takes you out of first person, which took some getting used to. Some flawed gameplay, but really made strides in storytelling and immersion. Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi. I've always wanted an game where you could fight Count Orlok and this is the closest we've ever gotten.
James D.
Ha, I remember PO'ed. I had it for the original Playstation, I believe. I don't think I ever made it past the first level.
Guest
Oh Shit! No really, that's the title of the game. Came out for the MSX. What kind of game is it, you ask? Oh shit! It's Pac Man!
Guest
Ladies and gentlemen, Urban Yeti! (The exclamation point isn't mine.) ... yeah. Don't call me Shirley. I... well... dc20willsave
If I might help, ads that are better than the game they were for. They're in spoilers since the images are kinda big.: I love this one just for the last panel. An ad for a game that combines Tetris with the excitement of stacking Hats. This kid has some really special facial expressions. I think this one speaks for itself.
Guest
A favourite of mine. I also remember this creepy ad for Secret of Evermore involving some sort of Magic Eye trick I could never get to work.

Guest
Yoshitaka Amano stepped down as the main character designer for Final Fantasy after VI. Here is what his FFVII would have looked like.
Guest
Everyone knows I love a good point and click adventure. Let's check out Limbo of the Lost. ... Uh... this looks... Probably just my imagination. Okay, that definitely looks like... Hmm. Okay, so they copied Oblivion and Unreal Tournament. And Painkiller. And Enclave. Well, at least they didn't rip off Silent Hill or something.
