NightAngle04
Bad move moving the Mentalist to sundays at 10. It will get preempted by football in the fall, start at ridiculous times lose viewers and then they will move it out of that time slot, but it will have lost a percentage of their viewers and will never be the same. dc20willsave
CSI Miami ran in the slot for the last three years and got good ratings (it got canceled since it was expensive) and The same with Cold Case before that. If The Mentalist gets canceled, its going to be because of The Mentalist, not the ratings.
NightAngle04
Shark was moved from Thursdays to Sundays. Never recovered and cancelled. I see the same thing happening here. CSI Miami also averaged the lowest ratings it ever did when it moved to Sundays. Bad move by CBS in my opinion.
Professor
Um, I doubt The Mentalist can be preempted by football. The late game on CBS is at 4PM and I have never seen anything but 60 minutes be joined in progress.
JackFetch
Big Brother always gets pushed back on those nights because of football, so The Mentalist will be also.
dc20willsave
For the three people who care, the CW's Fall Schedule. THE CW’s 2012-2013 PRIMETIME SCHEDULE MONDAY 8:00-9:00 PM 90210 (New Night) 9:00-10:00 PM GOSSIP GIRL (New Time) THE CARRIE DIARIES premieres January, 2013 TUESDAY 8:00-9:00 PM HART OF DIXIE (New Night) 9:00-10:00 PM EMILY OWENS, M.D. (New Series) WEDNESDAY 8:00-9:00 PM ARROW (New Series) 9:00-10:00 PM SUPERNATURAL (New Night) THURSDAY 8:00-9:00 PM THE VAMPIRE DIARIES 9:00-10:00 PM BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (New Series) FRIDAY 8:00-9:00 PM AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL (New Night) 9:00-10:00 PM NIKITA (New Time) Source and descriptions. As someone who still watches Supernatural, more out of habit since this season has been less than great, I don't mind the move to Wednesdays. It makes sense to pair it with Arrow since both are pretty much the network's sole attempt to appeal to men.
JackFetch
Speaking of that Beauty and the Beast show on CW: He's hideous with that scar isn't he?
Venneh
Kristin Kreuk is still getting acting jobs?
dc20willsave
What can we say, people appear to love that way that she stares into the horizon.
KnightWing
She's actually a pretty decent actress when she's not given crap scripts and useless characters. Well, at least characters that smile more often and aren't borderline-sociopaths. I blame the Lana problem on the writers and producers, not Kreuk. prez
Um, I doubt The Mentalist can be preempted by football. The late game on CBS is at 4PM and I have never seen anything but 60 minutes be joined in progress. The whole night is moved back. My wife and I routinely missed the end of 'CSI: Miami' on the DVR because of the football overrun, even after we put on a 30 minute extension. MaxPower
Speaking of that Beauty and the Beast show on CW: He's hideous with that scar isn't he? I have nothing add, but if ever there was a face palm moment, this was it.
NightAngle04
How did Supernatural escape the Friday death slot? How did it even get another season? At least Arrow is on a time I can watch. Thumbs up!
dc20willsave
How did Supernatural escape the Friday death slot? How did it even get another season? The Friday night slot is not a guaranteed death sentence anymore. It helps that nothing on the night is a ratings giant. It'll all depend on what else it has going against it. Also, it's one of the highest rated shows on the CW.
Venneh
Harmon may be out for S4, and only in a consulting producer role EDIT: Welp, it's official. Also, Dan Harmon's incredibly classy response to the whole thing
JackFetch
Sanctuary has been canceled.
dc20willsave
And we have our first causality and it hasn't even premiered: Dane Cook's new series Next Caller. So yeah, chances of Community ending up in a better time slot have increased quite a bit more.
Koete
That is hilarious.

dc20willsave
Animal Practice has been put down. Whitney is taking it's place. I'm calling it now: Community is going to be held until mid-season when it will take 30 Rock's place on the schedule.
Dan
The Neighbors got a full season pickup. Again, because I think this is fairly important: THE FUCKING NEIGHBORS GOT A FULL SEASON PICKUP.
