Venneh
That's... special. Could also open them up to a HELL of a lot of lawsuits.
SuaveStar
The new Medal of Honor: Warfighter has a website to help players purchase the actual weapons they use onscreen. I am not normally one to have a problem with this kind of thing, but this is kinda gross. For a minute, I read that as them selling the guns for in game DLC, but, wow, just, wow. Stavros
That seems at best shortsighted and at worst massively irresponsible. You know some shithead is going to use this in his trial for shooting someone.
Missy
Are they trying to fuel the "video games create violent acts" debate?!
KnightWing
What the hell? I get the idea of trying to make the game seem "real," but that entire mentality is one of the things that really made me want to leave the Call of Duty / Medal of Honor / Battlefield community. There's no way in hell any of those games are "real." If they were then they wouldn't be fun, because real war sucks. Trying to merge reality with that particular fantasy is only going to lead to crap like this.

Venneh
Yes, because clearly, she would poison and backstab her fellow senators. ... That actually doesn't sound like a half bad idea.
SuaveStar
Democratic candidate for state senate unfit for the office because she plays World of Warcraft, according to state GOP. Yes, she wasn't at high enough a level to earn the right to battle at the senate. What she should have done was install the latest patch, hit control, alt and "R" key at the same time, took part in some level grinding battles, and then she would have been ready for her ascension to the senate. dc20willsave
To be fair, I think most of the GOP are jealous that they don't have the next expansion and they might have to let a girl with better gear then them into their raiding guild. dc20willsave
Well, this is more than a little pathetic. The NRA is already blaming movies and video games for the massacre last week.
dc20willsave
I'd like to point out the most fucked up part is that the news conference also refused to take questions.
Guest
The NRA have been taking a lot of undeserved flak, but deflecting to a tired argument like that is just silly.
JackFetch
The press are at it again. A new round of articles about Adam Lanza are making the rounds and they all talk about how he played Call of Duty.
Rjoyadet
My mother has always been the most anti-gun, anti-violent media person I know. I just recently let her play Portal and she said how much she enjoyed being armed. I am glad I haven't let her play Gears of War.

Guest
It's also completely unenforceable. The ESRB and PEGI were created to help consumers make purchasing decisions, and retail can enforce restrictions on sale, but there are zero laws (and never will be) stating that you will be arrested if your kid plays an 18+ game. I know librarians have a bill of rights that would not let a librarian get arrested if they did not censor books from children. I wonder if there is a gamers bill of rights.
