JackFetch
After 16 years, Sci Fi Channel is changing its name ... unless you say it aloud. NBC Universal-owned cable network will become "Syfy" starting in July. I know I'm not a big network executive, but this makes no sense to me. James D.
This makes about as much sense as punching yourself in the face to relieve sinus pressure.

Molly
Wait, guys, I think I got it... ... They're trying to appeal to Generation Y! I'll be here all week, tip your waitress and try the veal.
Missy
This makes about as much sense as punching yourself in the face to relieve sinus pressure. So that's what I've been doing wrong.

James D.
And Mike, don't lie to us. You know you were banging your head on a table to get rid of the pressure, not punching yourself.

George W.
Well, Spike TV can finally pass on the title of stupidest name change ever. Still, what in the blue-balled butt-fuck are they smoking?
KnightWing
So apparently the search function doesn't work as well as it should. My search for "SyFy" completely passed over this thread. w/e. Yeah, this change makes NO sense to me.
nicolev
Obviously the "SyFy" channel is no longer satisfied by merely making terrible made for tv movies. They have expanded to include weird and pointless marketing ideas, as well as the most boring logo I have ever seen.

Mistah J
Hey! I’m sure someone spent several minutes deciding what font the text should be. Well, it is a rather attractive font. Makes as much sense as rebooting the entire James Bond franchise.
