RSS
In another massive episode of Dread Media, Desmond and Darryll present a Roadkill Review on Robert Rodriguez's modern exploitation bonanza, Machete. Then, what does a paranoid conspiracy theorist think about Machete? Dread Media presents part of Alex Jones' radio show to answer that question. Just when you thought it was okay to enjoy a film again, it's only a plot to kill whitey. Then, rational though returns to the podcast as Desmond reviews the latest chunk of releases from Radical Comics. Tunes included: "Down in Mexico" by The Coasters, "Killer in Texas" by Ghoultown, "Master Race Rock" by The Hellacopters, "Roots Radicals" by Rancid, and "Dirty Black Summer" by Danzig. D-Man
Come on you guys. I really want to see some opinions on this one. Love it or hate it?
Guest
Does Alex Jones know that movies, you know, aren't real? Any time I hear a political analyst use the phrase "the world is going to hell in a handbasket", I want to punch a wall. That's just code for "whatever side I'm on is currently losing". Thanks for reminding me why I stopped following politics. I just got a movie coupon courtesy of the fine people at the Tombstone Pizza Corporation™, so I may use it to go see Machete. Really had no intention of seeing it, but it's been a long time since I've seen some fun violence on the big screen. Good stuff, though. Missy
Please don't ever, ever subject us to that fuck-tard again.
D-Man
I've been thinking it would have been better if Machete's jump over the gate on the motorcycle had kicked off the Mexican attack on the compound. Instead he makes the jump half way through the battle for no discernable reason. Just saying.
Dread
I see what you're saying - which, by the way, is a phrase that makes no sense; one cannot see what one is saying - but i think the absolute ridiculousness of the way it was handled is better suited to the film. D-Man
Yeah, I know you're right. "Machete don't do logic. Machete improvises."
