  1. I think whoever edited that confused the film with "Green Lantern: First Flight" (where Larroquette does voice Tomar-Re) and for whatever reason assumed Haysbert would reprise his role as Kilowog in the film (not that I would mind him doing so; I liked his Kilowog more than Michael Madsen's).
  2. Very nice. Hope Kilowog has an equally memorable voice brought to him.
  3. I think bright primary colours (spell it properly, Yanks/Canucks) begin with Superman's costume and goes from there. Singer even managed to get that wrong by swapping the red out for more of a shade of maroon. I wholeheartedly agree. I hated the bacon-red cape, boots, and underwear.
  4. As long as they don't put a giant golden planet on top of the Tribune Tower or a big "L" on the Sears Tower... Ridiculous statement! That's what CGI is for. My point is that it shouldn't blatantly be Chicago even to people who don't live there, just like Metropolis was blatantly New York City in the Christopher Reeve films.
  5. TEASE: More on that to come, if my co-host and I ever get to record our first podcast (we've had several delays).
  6. As long as they don't put a giant golden planet on top of the Tribune Tower or a big "L" on the Sears Tower...
  7. Dexter: Never have seen it before. Started watching the First Season after a friend of mine was gushing about the show and now I'm hooked.
  8. Apples and oranges. On a related note, what exactly does LexCorp specialize in producing in the comics?
  9. As long as her hair is the right color and she isn't written to be a bitch like last time, I'll be satisfied.
  10. The homage to The Dark Knight Returns in the Batman vs. Superman fight was EPIC. Was Jimmy with the spines coming out of his body thanks to Mxy a reference to All-Star Superman or just a random gag?
  11. Finally finished listening. I agree with Ian's proposition of "Branagh" as the opposite of the grade "Keanu". For proof that is, watch the 1989 version of "Henry V".
  12. Okay, no. There is NO WAY that would EVER fit in with Nolan's realistic vision of Batman. It has to be Killer Moth. No, no, NO. What this film needs to ground it in the real world is Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, Mad Hatter, and Clayface.
  13. Hopefully never. Speaking of which, I hope the Superboy-Luthor connection comes to light eventually.
  14. Thought I'd put this here rather than an old WFP thread: Been going through Gotham Knights recently by production order. Saw "The Ultimate Thrill", "Over the Edge", and "Mean Seasons". Latter of the three almost made me pull a Mike and bash my head through the wicker coffee table on which my laptop was perched. A lot of it, though, was stuff I had apparently blocked out. Next up: "Critters".
  15. Ha. Glad I beat all of you to it.
  16. Like Bruce Wayne and how he became Batman, there's no unbreakable canon regarding the period between which Clark found out his powers while in Smallville and became Superman. You can add a few tweaks and plot elements that weren't there before, provided you don't do too many, pad out the completion of the transformation, and end up going to the Smallville route.
  17. You left out Metamorpho in your list of shapeshifters, but I'm guessing he wouldn't rank very high... Fantastic job guys
  18. I just started the episode. And my guess for Artemis's father is: Deathstroke. I think she's Ravager/Rose Wilson. The creators have outright said that they won't use him, though, in order to separate their cartoon from the Teen Titans.
  19. I was gonna make a joke asking whether scenes that cause the viewers to expect Daredevil and Bullseye to start making out would be true to the tone of the comics, but I'll forego it and just say: "A Twilight director is doing the Daredevil reboot? WHAT?"
  20. Ummm...why are Charles and Eric sitting on a bed together while looking at a scantily-clad girl with dragonfly wings?
  21. A television production of Waiting for Godot for a theatre/film class. Does anyone have a sufficient background in literature or theatre to know what the Hell this is all about?
  22. I didn't notice that his head was silhouetted at the end of Downtime, but the fact that one of the members of the Light is voiced by the same guy as Orm pretty much confirms it. My link I think one of the members of the Light is Ra's al Ghul based on one of the silhouetted heads, specifically the one to the far left.
  23. Hammond actually predates The Leader by several years. Secret Origins is actually one of the GL stories of Johns' run that didn't hit me as well as the others. I'll probably go back and reread it soon. The only other Johns Lantern book I've read is Sinestro Corps War, which I will say had better art but I didn't like it as much, maybe because I hadn't read earlier issues. Where should I go from here? Blackest Night?
