Been there, done that. I've done it more times than probably everyone else on this forum, combined. So don't worry about it. I got asked for the second time in my adult education life today, if I was dyslexic. For the first time in my life, I'm starting to wonder, and worry, that I am. I'm 24, and made it through all of primary, and secondary school, without anyone asking any questions, and several parts of higher education. It's just bothering me, that I've made it so far in my life, and am only know finding out that I may have a problem. I was 26 when I learned something about myself(which I won't discuss in public), and while it did seem like a problem at first, it was somewhat liberating and enlightening when I realized what it was.

Sorry to hear. That happened to me last year, and believe me, it didn't end well.

I'm gonna go with Back to the Future. I share Mike's enthusiasm for time travel films, and this is the best movie series for that.

I feel reluctant to bring this up, since I'm a huge Star Trek fan, but there are some painfully bad films in that series too.

He can't be fired because of the whistle blowers law. He reported it, so he did what he is legally obligated to do. Morally, he's a dick for not pressing it further, but he's untouchable legally and his job is safe. It still makes me sick that he won't be touched over this. I can say with a fair degree of certainty that, had I witnessed what McQueary did, calling dad on the phone would have been far down the list on approrpriate responses.

I don't condone rioting for any reason, but I can at least understand why they might want to express their support for a beloved coach.. Paterno is a person who many of them looked up to. How he should have been dealt with is a matter for honest debate. What should not be up for debate is that the grad assistant who witnessed Sandusky horribly abusing a child, and DID NOT STOP THE MAN OR CALL THE POLICE is going to be on the sidelines on Saturday is a travesty.There is NO reason for Paterno to be fired and yet this person still be on the payroll of Penn State. He didn't stop Sandusky. He didn't call the police. He called his father. I fully understand why people agree with Paterno's firing, but this assistant should be hung from the highest tree for his far more inadequate response, which sadly he is not. If the further rumor is true, it shows the depth of Sandusky's depravity, and that there needs to be more transparency in the actions of boosters and donors at universities everywhere.

Given that the entire Birds of Prey appeared in Batman: The Brave and The Bold, the embargo is apparently a pretty fickle one.

The problem with colleges would take too long to explain. Besides, I'd need to save that for the vent thread. Suffice to say, a lot of it sucks.

This is why I always keep track of my hours worked. I tend to not trust others with my money. I have ever since that experience. Just yesterday I called my boss because my paycheck was too small.

There are few things more satisfying than a person getting busted for giving someone else the shaft. Three years ago, my old boss was fired for reasons that I wasn't given. Then a week later, I was given half a week's pay out of nowhere. It turned out he'd held back my overtime pay for the previous six months. It's a sweet feeling to see people like that get what they deserve.
