  1. I think I might as well throw my hat into the ring on this Kevin Smith discussion. He reminds me of The Offspring, showing signs of maturity, but then doing very stupid things that show he hasn't grown up at all, despite his age. A relic perhaps that should have been left in the 90's.
  2. I've always loved the "Tommy Westphall Universe. One small thing that connects two shows I love is the bag of Walt's meth that is seen in an episode of Walking Dead. Leading me to develop an asinine theory about how Breaking Bad ends with Walt starting the Zombie Apocalypse through SCIENCE! Fantastic episode by the way, Will. Really great insights into the Westphall theory, even making connections that I'd never known of (Munch appearing in Arrested Development etc...) Also, if you did research for this episode, I'd love to know what some of your sources of info were!
  3. Various Earth-2.net podcasts Comic Geek Speak (depending on the topic at hand) Smodcast - I mainly love the live shows they do. Fat man on Batman - Fantastic interviews with people who love working with that character. I would love to hear more about writers and artists, but what I have is awesome. Lupin Has 3 Jackets - Enjoyable discussion about Lupin from people who have a deep love for the show. It is also the only currently running Lupin III podcast (that I am aware of) Breaking Good - The best show about Breaking Bad that delves into the spoiler and fan speculation of BB. The Ones Who Knock - The best show for the analytical discussion of Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad Insider - Hosted by the people who make the show. Very interesting to listen to.
  4. October 18th - 24th 2014: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. 35 years old on the 18th of that year. Maybe something covering the trilogy of books on the first 5 days, then the movie and the 6th book? Something along those lines. Just a suggestion.
  5. Possible spoilers ahead. http://www.comicsalliance.com/2012/06/05/iron-man-3-set-photo-villain-clue/ Not sure how to set up a spoiler tag for an image, so I'll just link to the article. There is a possibility it could be photoshopped, but I hope it isn't. Probably will only be setup for some plot in another Avengers movie, but if this plays out in the right way I might have a literal fangasm.
  6. As cool as it is to see Toonami come back, I don't see it lasting very long. I've come to learn that anime fans are pretty impatient people and they don't enjoy the wait between episodes and in a world where we can get most anime at our fingertips; what's stoping people from going online and watching the next episodes and just skipping the tv versions? Sure nostalgia will get people to tune in weekly, but nostalgia is kinda finite. And at a late time slot, I could see people begin to tune out. I will say though that it could be a way for new viewers to catch some cool shows and it makes more anime fans (especially if they play Bebop), Tom coming back would be awesome, and if they have marathons of shows and movies (like mecha or Miyazaki months as they have in the past) Of course, I've never watched Toonami being Canadian and never getting CN, so I could be talking out of my ass on this one.
  7. Everybody else has said favorites of mine already, but I have one that I havn't seen. Louie: Great show about Louie CK just kind of living day to day. It's dark and funny, but can be sweet at times.
  8. It's weird that this is the year that Gary Oldman recieved his first Academy Award nomination.
