The kid was disappointed someone knew who Spider-Man 2099 was?
yes, they wanted to be Spider-Man but not a Spider-Man who was mainstream. It wouldn't surprise me if that kid becomes a full fledged hipster in a couple of years.

Eraser: Near-brilliant 90s Arnold action. This is 100% a Ranier Wolfcastle McBain film, and I loved every minute of it.
You're right.

Until recently, every time I wore a costume nobody recognized my character. This year, I had a couple of people call me Roland.
If @teenalphabro has made it to "Wolves of the Calla" or paid close attention to "Wind through the Keyhole" she could tell you whose severed head I have.
---edit----
the name of the robot villain. I am not making any suggestions to go Highlander on anyone.

When my family moved to the USA my parents were looking for opportunity or a more comfortable life, the only thing I looked forward to was being able to watch Spider-Man on TV.
I recently heard someone make a convincing argument that if it were not for Stan Lee, anime would not have the impact on the western world that it currently does.
We will miss you.

During Halloween a child in a blue Spider-Man costume came up to me and I said "Oh look we got Spider-Man..." he (possibly she) was ready to correct me when I finished with "2099!" They groaned loudly and their parents explained that someone was bound to know the costume.

I’ve been expecting this for years. Especially after Joan passed.
Its still not any easier.
I like to think that Stan Joan and Steve are making up for lost time.

Then we had to walk up some structure with ridiculously unsafe stairs.....
I have had that come up in dreams, except it is not an office but a wooden mansion and when I go inside the floor gets creakier until I am on a narrow stairway over deep falls.

I wish the Skifree monster was a playable character.

So I quit my job and packed everything I own in my car and drove 2000 miles across the country. This is pretty scary. I haven't been not working since I was like 20.
All the best.

Four episodes in and we've had a historical and a science-based episode. That's two episodes in a row without an alien. This is classic-era Who through a modern lens, and it is wonderful.
I agree with you.

I cannot remember.

I was watching the opening disaster scene of Final Destination 4 the other day and I started to think "this looks like a cartoon." That's because it literally is a cartoon. There is so much CGI that many of the fatalities are computer animated. It looked like a Mortal Kombat game. Not even kidding. I genuinely enjoyed all of the FD movies (despite their many flaws) but this was jarring, especially a decade later.
I remember in "Better in the Dark" Tom and Derrick mentioned that the disaster scenes were so elaborate that they would hum Raymond Scotts "Powerhouse."

Halloween (2018) : I was hoping for it to be good. I did not expect it to be that good.

The last ten minutes of that episode was amazing. I wish Roy and Elizabeth Peratrovich were mentioned.

I wish "Life" actually had been a Venom prequel. It would have been a perfect explanation.

The Halloween timeline is even more confusing than the Saw timeline.
That is saying something.
It is so confusing that when A coworker gave me Halloween 3: season of the witch, 4,5 and Curse of Michael Myers made more sense. My head cannon asked what if Colonel Cochranes megalithic microchip magic massacre was stage 1? Stage 2 was to bring Myers into that world, which also brought Loomis by extension. That is how he went from being an escaped maniac to being this almost diety figure to that weird cult.

As much as I appreciate S.T.D. replacing Mister Spock with a bearded Paul McCartney,
All it does is give me a nasty reminder that it will be a cold day in sheol before my dad will enjoy an episode of Star Trek with me.
I won't be surprised if the red angel somehow is connected with the CBS access show about Jack Parsons.

The Power of Grayskull: this Netflix doc covers the toys and brand of He-Man. It's about as interesting and good as that Thundarr the Barbarian one on youtube but it's three times longer, so that kind of gets dragged out. They pass over the film pretty quickly and don't touch on the later comics at all, but it's still an interesting story, if a little inflated. I mean, at times I was like "c'mon, guys, it's just fucking He-Man."

I rarely have night terrors but an episode ruined my sleep last night. A loud noise woke me up. I felt too terrified to move. I remember trying to tell myself it was all a waking nightmare. That didn't work so I began to pray and got my Bible and read a verse I had underlined. I could sense the ... eh whatever it was that was terrifying me nope out of my room. That gave me enough confidence to see if the loud noise really was an intruder. I used a trophy as a weapon, bad choice, good thing nobody was there.
Sometimes I write or illustrate my dreams on index cards. I looked at mine and they were illegible scribbles. My memory of writing them made me decipher the following
"Night"
"Exploding head syndrome"
"Why does this (illegible) obscenity terrify you"
"it's (illegible) unstoppable"
"fear the night mare"
"night man"

I do not know how to link Twitter posts, so I screen capped a tweet showing how exposure to the TARDIS has turned Wendy Padbury's eyes more blue.

Hey @Dread did you write a review about Ryan Holidays Conspiracy? I remember you getting upset by it, and for that I wanted to thank you. I was curious about reading it but your warning helped me realize that I had to put my mind on guard because it will throw jabs at me.
