  1. Best Disney animated feature of course. Lion King rules. I hear the first 2 seconds and I get goosebumps.
  2. http://www.iwatchstuff.com/2006/05/ramis_o...s_3_ghostb.html Ramis on Ghostbusters 3: Ghostbusters in Hell Rumors of another Ghostbusters film have started up again, with star and writer Harold Ramis saying that Dan Aykroyd has written a script, entitled Ghostbusters in Hell, and wants Ben Stiller to star: What Danny had originally conceived was sending us to a special-effects hell--a netherworld full of phenomenal visual environments and boiling pits. But what works so well about the first two (films) is the mundane-ness of it all. So my notion was that hell exists in the same place as our consensus reality, but it's like a film shutter--it's the darkness between the 24 frames. So we create a device to do it, and it's in a warehouse in Brooklyn. When we step out of the chamber, it looks just like New York, but it's hell--everything's grid locked; no cars are moving and all the drivers are swearing at each other in different foreign languages. No two people speak the same language. It's all the worst things about modern urban life, just magnified. With all the controversy surrounding The Da Vinci Code right now, I can only imagine what the Catholic Church will say about a Ghostbusters film dealing with the concept of hell. The only way they'll approve of this one is if the Ghostbusters are sent there for trying to marry each other and performing too many ghost abortions. Actually, now that I think of it, I think I'd like that, too. Part of me wants to see them use one of those ghost traps to do an abortion. Just have a willing lady-ghost squat over it, push the button, and watch that kid fly out like the Concorde. The only part I don't look forward to is the horrible shrieking.
  3. Here is a link to the trailer. http://www.egotastic.com/entertainment/tel...-trailer-001240
  4. Put in perspective, that sounds about right. I remember playing the Pitfall on Atari when I was a kid and being amazed. I felt the same way when I played the first Zelda, then again with Mortal Kombat. Kids aren't going to like older games that they didn't grow up with because they weren't there when it was the best there was. They have these amazing games with amazing graphics, why would they want to play Frogger? I know I wouldn't if I never played it growing up.

    PS3 news

If you adjust for inflation, gas prices are cheaper than 20 years ago, but it still costs me about 35 bucks to fill up my tank. Ironically, that's why I can't afford the PS3.
  6. I haven't listened to the show yet, but are you talking about me? Nobody seems to get my name right. I sent in a clip about Labryinth with some music put in. The music was too loud and I didn't know how to fix it. Nope, he means Joe's Muppet Vision 3D segment; the audio is a little wonky at times. ahh, ok thanks.

  8. ***Spoilers*** From Dark Horizons "Plot: Third film in the highly successful "Spider-Man" series sees several new villains and a new woman enter Peter Parker's life. With his secret now revealed to both Mary Jane and Harry, Peter must face the consequences of his actions and his new life together with Mary Jane as they finally form a relationship. Yet their newfound open display of love has yielded some unfortunate results, not the least of which is Peter's upset boss determined to make his life hell for causing his son emotional distress. Not helping is a young investigative reporter named Eddie Brock who Jameson has hired to find out why Mary Jane dumped his son for Peter - what's Parker's secrets? At the same time an escaped prisoner hiding out on a remote beach is caught in a dreadful accident and finds himself turned into a shape-shifting sand creature. Peter's investigations into the past of this 'Sandman' brings him in contact with two very different things that will inevitably alter his life. The first a young woman named Gwen Stacy, daughter of the city's new police chief who is developing a soft spot for Peter. The other, a black substance from an accident scene which 'merges' with Peter's costume and gives him new found abilities. Things come to a head however when Harry Osborn, determined to take revenge against Peter for his father's death and now equipped with what he needs to pull it off, teams with The Sandman in a new variation of his father's Green Goblin guise and causes mayhem. In the ensuing chaos lives are lost, including people very close to Peter, whilst the black substance covering his suit separates from him and merges with a distraught Brock to form something else entirely - a creature unlike anything he's ever faced. A 'Venom' that he may not be able to stop. **Note** Sony has NOT released an official synopsis as yet, this one I penned and is an estimation based on a large amount of confirmed script story details that were leaked online in February 2006**. 9. Don't forget, if the price is too low, that will cut sales of the DS.
  10. The Game Boy Micro is the last in the line of Game Boys. What a horrible way to go out. An over priced, not needed version. I thought it would be $59 when it came out, but I forgot that Nintendo uses the Apple approach to pricing. Why make a profit, when we can make a huge profit? That's why I think the Wii will be a little more than everyone thinks.
  11. The guy playing the president needs an emmy. Especially for the last episode. He almost made me completly forgive him until he got the phone call at the end.
  12. I still say they'll bring him back. That is if the series is on much longer.
  13. This conference is for people with short attention spans. A lot of flash, loud music, jump cuts showing gameplay. I have to start off by saying that alot of the games they showed had really bad graphics. I know they aren't in the race for next gen, but a lot of them looked worse than the GameCube. Red Steel footage is shown. I'm going to get so tired playing this game, and I hope nobody sneaks up on me while playing it. I'll probably hit them in the face with the Wiimote by accident. The Wii will be out the 4th quarter of 2006. They won't give the date or price yet. They show a quick clip of a game where you clean the house. WTF? They talk about Zelda, and it will be out on launch day of the Wii. They actually play it on stage. The controls for shooting arrows look awsome. There is a speaker in the Wiimote that plays the sound of the string being pulled and other things. There will be 2 different versions of the new Zelda game. One for the Wii, and one for Gamecube. They announce Super Mario Galaxies. A strange Mario game that take place on platforms in space. The graphics look just like Sunshine. There is an exclusive Mario game for the Wii. They talk about the DS, and the DS Lite. The new Tony Hawk game for it will have voice over I.P. they pick the winner of some contst to be the first person to play the Wii in public, and play tennis on stage with him. The tennis game has horrible graphics, like Lego people, but they seem to be having fun. Overall, it was alot of flash and noise, but no price or date is a letdown. The Wii looks like fun, but not long term fun.

    Sony at E3

They talk about a Greatest Hits collection for the PSP. the titles are Ape Escape, ATV Offroad, Hot Shots, Twisted Metal, and WipeOut Pure. They didn't mention the price though. Every PS3 will ship with a hard drive, and will come out in November worldwide. We all know the price by now, and they tell it in different countries. They show a demo for Gran Turismo for the PS3, and it is underwhelming. In my opinion, it isn't as good as PGR3 yet, and shouldn't have been shown for as long as it was. They show a card game demo with the Eye Toy. It was really interesting. It looked just like Yu-Gi-Oh. They talk about the online service, and talk about all the things it will offer. Rankings, voice, ect. They still say it will be free. They also talk about microtransactions. They show the PS3 interface. It's really busy. Alot of stuff on the main page. A bunch of demos shown. Afrika is the one that stands out to me. If that is in game engine stuff and not pre rendered, then that's the best game I've ever seen graphically. It doesn't show anything about what it's about though. They show a typcical CGI final Fantasy trailer for FF13. They talk about the controller, and show that it has a tilt sensor that sort of does what the Wii controller does, just a different way. He plays a demo for Warhawk using the tilt sensor. It looks like it is very awkward to control that way, as he couldn't even fly straight. Overall, it was an ok conference. Not as good as last years, but they couldn't live up to all the CG stuff they showed. Speaking of which, they didn't show anything for Killzone.
  15. I think they let the games do the talking this year. I was especially surprised at how they pushed PC gaming. The Live Anywhere is the best thing they showed in my opinion. Being able to have your friend list on your 360, Vista PC, and mobile phone is cool, and cross platform talk and play is an amazing feat. The HD DVD drive is something I don't really care that much about, since I don't have a HDTV yet. I'll wait until there is a standard before I buy into HD movies. The Live Arcade is something that they are very proud us, as they led the show with it. I don't know why they didn't mention the free poker game, or any of the new games. They only talked about classic games like Pac Man, Paperboy, Ultimate MK3, ect. They mentioned the camera, but didn't say how it will be used other than using it to customize your gamer picture. Grand Theft Auto 4 was a huge announcement. Sony's biggest exclusive franchise isn't exclusive anymore. XBox owners had to wait at least a year before they came out on it. Overall, it was a good conference. Like I said, they let the games do the talking this year, and didn't have all the flash and music from last year. I'll post about Sony and Nintendo's conferences also.
  16. The Spider-Man pre Civil War stories are a must read. Anything with the big Civil War thing on the cover will work. The ones where Peter Parker and Tony Stark go to Washington is where the Civil War story starts.

    PS3 news

Not to mention the $499 version will be missing HDMI support, wifi, memory stick, SD, and Compact flash support. Both versions are bigger than the original XBox(one of Japan's biggest complaints about it), and weighs more than the XBox360. The controllers have lights with 1-4 on them, but Sony said it would support 7 controllers at a time. There is no rumble on the controllers, although they now have 4D(tilt sensors). My thoughts are that Sony doesn't have any originality left in them. They are hyping tech that was available more than 7 years ago like they just invented it. http://www.gamespot.com/e3/e3blog.html?topic_id=24600407 One last thing. Why do they have it displayed in more than one color when they said it will only be available in black?
  18. I really liked the first issue. This could be the best crossover story in a long time for Marvel. The whole thing with Cap was interesting, and the ending made me excited for the next one. For some reason I think this is the story that they are going to bring back Nick Fury. P.S. Iron Man is a dick
  19. ********Spoilers ahead******** Fastball special to a sentinel? Wolvie decapitaiting said sentinel? Storm still useless? The first 2 are answered here. http://www.iwatchstuff.com/archives/2006/0..._in_xmen_3.html
  20. Wookies were made slaves by the empire. They are the France of Sci Fi. The Klingons would roll right over them.

    Wii news

Revolution was a great name. Wii sounds french, and you know republicans won't buy anything that sounds french. Seriously though. Does anyone realize that the cheap price is only temporary? If you want to play all those old games you have to buy more memory for it(there is no hard drive). From Wikipedia: "According to a Japanese press release, "all downloaded games will be stored on the 512 [MB] flash memory built into the system, also any USB based storage device might be able to be used." Can you imagine how fast you will fill up that 512MB? You will either have to buy a crapload of memory cards, a usb hard drive, or more flash memory from Nintendo. By the time you buy that(and pay for all those old games), you will spend the same amount, or more than you would have for a 360.
  22. I sent in my attempt of a review of Labyrinth. Not really a review, but a synopsis without spoilers. I played a little of the soundtrack, and even started with the Fraggle Rock theme.
