  1. Days of Future Past. Could be a really interesting insight into where that universe is heading.
  2. Actually you could add both Lightspeed and Zero G (14 & 16) even if you do just go with the newer Power Pack books, and in the current Marvel universe I think the three of the pack are teens (the oldest being 19). Not that they are individual heroes of significant merit but still. Gert would be a definite if she wasn't dead, and I'm a big fan of Chase as well. However the one that probably best represents the group (she is leader) would be Nico, so add her. I'd say Stature's in then. Iron Lad might not even exist anymore so does he really qualify for current? He was only in six issues. I'd rather have Hulkling in than Patriot. She pretty much defined her personality by what she knew about her former self, Jenny Sparks. When the team was threatened she realised she wasn't going to be given the time to grow up and so she aged herself and started smoking. She also visited all her past incarnations. I'm not saying she's the best teen hero or anything, just if you wanted to put in a Wildstorm offering shes one I know of.
  3. For current we gotta have some from Runaways, how about Molly Hayes (Princess Powerful). She did defeat the Punisher with one Punch and she's only 12 (making her my personal favorite of the group). If you are going for a big tourney then Nico, Chase, Gertrude and Karolina would all work. Not that I don't like Victor or Xavin, they are just later and less well defined additions. A couple of other current heroes would be from the Young Avengers, take your pick of Hulkling, Wiccan and/or Stature. Hulkling and Wiccan are the only two founding members left with some cred (Patriot was gassed on MGH and Iron Lad might not even exist anymore). He's not technically a Superhero but Ethan Chiles used his abilities for the greater good in DC book Hard Time. Tough to be a hero if your in prison for 50 years but he did his best, even using his astral form to save lives on the outside. Jenny Quantum of the Authority is probably Wildstorms' best offering, even if she didn't have long to try and define herself before that universes reboot. On the mutant side X-23 is pretty prominant, although there are probably a few people with better knowlage who could suggest others. Spider-girl is a decent offering even if her book sucks more the further you go on. Used to be really good. Classic Teen Superheroes would include a few X-men like Cyclops and Jean Grey. They were just students. Of course Impulse wins it all for me but this will still be interesting.
  4. I know you really like conventions and going too long inbetween may cause withdrawal but still...dude. Eh, I'll listen for the hilarity of hearing Yoda either bewildered and out of his depth or to hear him get into this passionatly. He may be Jem's biggest fan by the time its all said and done.
  5. Justice League: The New Frontier Sweet promo, the animation is spot on. I'll have to go back and read these books.

    Countdown

If I did I wouldn't have stopped buying it. The only good thing about it is its use of some of my favorite characters.
  7. Good, show, I'm glad you liked the episode. There are three episodes left this season and they are all pretty damn good. Dr Who is a very patchy show and Tennant isn't as good as Eccleston (although theres an element of annoying writing to consider) but still, these last four episodes saved this show. Before that we were treated to pure crap like "The Daleks in Manhatten". Watch these last three.
  8. It was a totally new continuity, this isn't from the JLA-verse. This origin was closer to the original one, Doomsday was just randomly released on earth instead of being a messed-up Superman clone. Firstly this aids new viewers (they don't have to understand who or what Doomsday is) and secondly
  9. I liked this one a lot, don't worry I'll leave the spoilers for later, but I did have a few issues. The animation was the old JLU stuff exactly, but the new character models, Lex, Supes and Lois in partcular, looked out of place as a result. Superman's cheecks were all messed up, like a much older version of the JLU one, Lex was much much slimmer and Lois, well, she seemed like a different woman altogether. Superman and Lex were both rooted in the old shows, Lois was a complete makeover. I understand that this particular tale needed to be stand alone from the old series and thus new model would help that differentiation, but the updates in most cases were so damn close it was hard not to compare. Doomsday was near-identical excepting the teeth. Lastly, I had to point out that there was an insane amount of city-bound destruction in this film and needlessly so. Supes had many oppertunities to move these brawls to safer less populated areas and yet he seemed to prefer smashing his opponant through many presumably occupied buildings. All that being said, I heartily approved of all the more adult themes involved in this story, it certainly helped set it apart from the old series. Bring on Teen Titans: The Judas Contract and Justice League: The New Frontier. I hope these for the first of many stand alone films covering the best stories from the comics. They have to do a Batman tale next. Year one, DKR or Hush would top my list. Hush in particular would be interesting since it covers so much of Bat's rogues' gallery.
  10. He's always looked like that. He's off the gas so he's not all muscley like he was after leaving WCW and he still drinks like a fish. Sandman's meant to be like this. He was over with the crowd as well.
  11. All better now. I should have known they couldn't be that stupid, but then anything is possible.
  12. This isn't Smallville, it the big film, he should be able to fly the second he puts his red armour on. Iron Man needs to be iconic and in the Marvel top echelon he's the only one who really flies. Thor throws his hammer and hangs on and Hulk jumps a lot. Iron Man's flight is integral to Marvel's need to make him an iconic hero, why ground him and risk making him seem less special? Not saying the movie can't be good, but they shouldn't offer us these awesome sequences that show exactly what Iron Man should be and then tell us they arn't going to happen.
  13. This is it man, I'm starting to get the shakes. F4W is too trolltastic for me and as much as I like E-2 its not a wrestling board nor does it have an extensive Off The Topic section. I had no idea how many time I went on the Oratory without even thinking about it.
  14. Have you read Wolverine #51? Honestly I hated that storyline and ditched the book. What happened?
  15. Any sillier than Ultimate Moon Knight? A couple of years back I seriously thought they were going to reveal that there was actually more than one Wolverine. I counted the books he was in on the shelf and then when I read his own book and New Avengers there appeared to be obscure clues. Of course "who is the fake" stoylines were ruined for most by the Clone Saga but the Megatron vs Megatron storyline in the Transformers comic is one of the best they ever did.
  16. He looks like they wanted Hulk Hogan to look back when he was supposed to be the hero of the Irish.
  17. Bob: Agent of Hydra is the greatest sidekick character ever on the strength of his name alone. Deadpool is freakin' awesome. They'd better not bury him somewhere or ace him completly. He should have his own X-team! Ideally working as a new heroes for hire type dealie, but with decent characters.
  18. If they get rid of most of the X-men teams then Deadpool should definitly join of of the fallout replacement teams.
  19. Thats a relief. I thought this might be my fault, the last thing I did on there was post a gif containing all the Seagull w/ Smoohie King pictures, I thought the servers might have just abandoned all hope and commited cybernetic sepuku.
  20. I liked the book but I realised as soon as he put it on that Peter was wearing the wrong costume. Why didn't they have the balls to stick with the black one? In storyline its only a few days since he put the damn thing on to avenge May's shooting and I don't exactly see the current storyline as somethig that it lightening the mood. The Spider-books are a mess of continuity. JMS has had a long and patchy run on the main book, hopefully they can get a good name to take over such as Kirkman. He brings the tragedy and the humour. Most of all right now I'm waiting on the resolution of the seeds set during the 3 mysterios storyline. Quentin Beck is back and half his head is missing- how is that not a bigger deal? Lets keep Spidey clear of the big storylines for a while and let him deal with his rogues.
  21. Oh god, it still looks utterly pants compared to Darth Vader. Methinks a redesign for the film.
  22. Its stupid to do the JLA film now. The money they make from it now will be peanuts compared to what it would be if they lauched the first film in the Flash and Wonder Woman series first. That way they actually could combine the Bale/Routh versions. Its very confusing to the public to have parallel franchises featuring different people as the same characters. If the do the JLA film now it also stunts the effectivnes of the individual screen debut of characters like WW, Flash and Green Lantern. All three have very specific origins that should be taken seriously in individual films when they debut. In particular the Green Lantern needs his origin told on screen. The best way to do a JLA film would be to build it around a rookie Green Lantern. Have him recieve the ring from Abin Sur and then have some alien race working with Lex Luthor or something attempting to capture the most powerful weapon in the galaxy. The Justice League forms to try and protect the new Lantern and as they risk thier lives doing so he becomes more and more confidant in using the ring. I really hope they get the Flash film out before all that though.
  23. That looks so much better now than it did. I guess you really need the whole thing done before you can really judge it.
  24. This is a specific wiki called http://dcanimated.wikia.com/ Its a work in progress and doesn't appear to have significantly more resources than Wiki (especially regarding individual episodes) but I figured you might find it interesting.
