  1. There's just no part of this pitch that doesn't smack of desperation and wrongheadedness. They're anxious to latch onto the hot new trend of 2004. Ben Silverman, The Man Who Will Save NBC, is clearly losing his mind in full view of the public.
  2. You know what this is going to be, don't you? This is going to be Gilligan's Island: The New Class.
  3. I love that part. It's like they just took a bunch of random shit, threw it together and made a show. I bet they had a wheel with a bunch of words on it to create a description. I'm seing the "manatees-in-a-tank-pointing-at-balls" strategy a work here.
  4. On another note, I propose an auction. Jenny, I will give you $7.25 and a Big Mo' bar for the picture of Mike with Winnie the Pooh.

    Well, that's that.

Ah. Well, credit where credit is due, then.

    The Music Thread

I'm sure he deserved it. On the whole, I'm a huge fan of local music. Dropkick Murphys rule over all. Aerosmith, though? Yeesh.
  7. I'm not. Unless you count that ugly shopkeeper last week. Maybe it's an average. I killed two. One of them might have been yours.
  8. Whippersnappers. Don't listen to 'em, Mike. I mean, sure, your eyes start to go, your back starts to hurt, you grunt pretty loudly when you try to get out of a chair, and you start to not be able to remember where you parked your car, but other than all that, 30's not... so... ... what was I saying?
  9. A couple of years ago, I absolutely would have agreed with you. I think Reynolds might be getting a little old to play Wally now, though.
  10. I can kinda see that. This definitely requires allowing yourself to be in a certain mindset. TV was paced and written differently back then. That has to be borne in mind a little bit.
  11. Personally, I think it was the lack of focus. Each episode had a drastically different feeling then the one before it. They left out whole sub plots like that the sister was a hacker not allowed to be near a computer. It was just a mess writing wise. For me, the show just wasn't any fun. At all. I can forgive a lot, but this series was just joyless.
  12. http://www.superherohype.com/news/topnews.php?id=6823 ... WHY?!?
  13. Heh. Yeah, I think I may wind up agreeing with you.
  14. Appreciated, sir. It's a work in progress. The first draft could have been a book, and there my have been some overjudicious cutting. Any ideas for future installments, lay 'em on me.

    Fable 2

I can't wait for this. I just hope it's longer than the first one.
  16. This made me feel like Picard in the "Darmok" episode of TNG... A statement that in itself would make most people feel like Picard in the "Darmok" episode of TNG... Brain...eating...own...brain... At Tanagra.
  17. I seriously forgot this was gonna be on.
  18. We're ooooff to outer space... We're leeeeaving Mother Earth... To saaaaaave the human race! Our Star Blazers!
  19. I actually just finished FF2 the other day. I would love them to make a third, but I think their hands may be busy with Bioshock for the foreseeable future.
  20. Be careful, though; I knew a kid in high school whose family had to move following a llama-adhesive incident.
  21. No kidding. I'm not sure I could have been so restrained. Man, Christina Z. There's a name that's been off my radar for a long time.
  22. I actually liked Constantine and Ghost Rider. I also didn't think Daredevil was as bad as everyone else seems to think. 50 First Dates however, sucked ass. I actually liked Constantine quite a bit, although it's far from a good movie. And Daredevil was a thousand times beter in the Director's Cut.
