    Episode 186

In this mammoth episode, Desmond and Darryll finally talk about the elephant in the room. They also talk about Dario Argento and the Blu-ray release of his film Inferno. Then Desmond goes solo on Devil's Playground before tackling a bunch of awesome feedback. The following terror tunes can be heard: "Maiden, Mother & Crone" by The Sword, "Inferno Finale" by Keith Emerson, "The Rage" by Judas Priest, and "Going Down" by The Creepshow. 15. Ian translates Christian Bale's Batman into the Queen's English, James valiantly fights a cold, Mike gives a frightening insight into his dreamscape, and all three hosts sing as they finally finish (for now) their Dark Knight Discussions by discussing The Dark Knight. 16. Though their task of covering the entire DC Animated Universe is complete, James and Mike are far from done discussing the DCAU! In this mammoth, five-hour series finale, you'll receive answers to dozens of e-mails and voicemails, lists galore, fond memories (and one not-so-fond memory), behind the scenes secrets, and one more clip segment by Ian Wilson (complete with a dream sequence). Of course, it wouldn't be an episode of World's Finest Podcast without impressions, sexual innuendos, jabs at continuity, and a few grades / rankings that are sure to cause a stir. Episode 04

Ian Wilson fights through his flu to join Dave Probert for two more episodes of Blake's 7. In "Mission to Destiny," Avon and Cally hunt a murderer on a sabotaged ship while the Liberator embarks on a mercy mission. And in "Duel," Blake and Travis are forced into a fight to the death by ethereal beings who have clearly watched the Star Trek episode "Arena." They also discuss religions based on The Shawshank Redemption, a Blake's 7 version of The Benny Hill Show, and Ian is greatly disturbed by a picture of a 1970s Doctor Who monster. Which one? You'll have to listen to find out. [ 1:33:12 || 42

    Episode 185

This week, pool your cash, because we are low budget! First up, Desmond and Darryll take a look at the Criterion release of 1970's Equinox. Then, it's chicks and chainsaws time as Desmond goes solo on the first season of Chainsaw Sally and Faces of Schlock: The Boobs and Blood Edition. The following lo-fi tunes were probably recorded on reel-to-reel, even though that is much more expensive than recording in Pro Tools, so never mind: "We Die Young" by Alice in Chains, "Setting Fire to Sleeping Giants" by Dillinger Escape Plan, "Crazy, Crazy Mama" by Roky Erickson, "Vampira" by Devin Townsend Ba
  19. This time around we have a lot of PlayStation games, and a bit of rock and / or roll. A happy accident has me also realizing that all of these games share the attribute of being really goddamn hard. The above is from:
  20. This week, your hosts cover 2000's Charlie's Angels and 2010's The Expendables. Does the Bill Murray factor outweigh the Cameron Diaz factor? Is Megan racist? Is she also Demi Moore-ist? What is the environmental cost associated to pyro in huge action movies? The answer: Who gives a shit?! After talking about the treatment of women in Stallone's film, Megan asks to go to bed, and Desmond says no. What is butt rock? How many turtles were killed in The Expendables? You need to listen to find out. [ 55:25 || 26.9 MB ] The above is from:
  21. It's eccentric, esoteric, and a little bit extreme. Kellen and James review the cure for the common shonen series: Soul Eater. Also, Chris Comstock thinks he's right about the lack of an Evangelion 2.0 dub. [ 58:56 || 28.6 MB ] The above is from:

    Episode 184

In a decidedly non-horror episode of Dread Media, Desmond and Darryll discuss two diverse features. First up is the harrowing and hilarious documentary The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia. Then, they try not to talk too much about the comic book that they adapted to make All-Star Superman. Songs to make you wanna dance in yer daddy's shoes: "Satan is Real / Straight to Hell" and "D. Ray White" by Hank Williams III, "Superman" by Duff McKagan, and "If You're Gonna be Dumb, You Gotta be Tough" by Roger Alan Wade. [ 1:15:43 || 34.8 MB ] The above is from:
  23. In the final stretch of their journey for the Key to Time, the two Time Lords get mixed up in several feuds. First, that between methane miners and a local tribe ("The Power of Kroll"), then in a nuclear war involving neighboring planets Atrios and Zeos ("The Armageddon Factor"). And finally, as the Key is assembled, the Black Guardian rears his head! Also, the hosts discuss the passing of Nicholas Courtney, the fondly remembered Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart. 24. Before 1st Issue Special returns for another round of comic book reviews (DC Universe Online Legends #1, Onslaught Unleashed #1, Silver Surfer #1, and Sir Edward Grey, Witchfinder: Lost and Gone Forever #1), Mike makes two announcements regarding the future of The Show.
