  1. Firstly great choice of theme, Dubs. Have heard it many a time before, although I don't know where from. Nice to hear your views on all things gaming. Especially on the next gen consoles - the hastiness of PS3 is something I agree with, although I don't mind the Wii name as much.
  2. One thing I loved playing as a swotty child on the SNES..... ...................Mario is Missing.
  3. My GTA experience starts from GTA2 which we acquired one day for the PC (I say acquired; we did buy it rather than DL it, although I think it was second hand from somewhere). Cool game, although frustrating at times. Then, cos we never had a PS2, I missed out on GTA3 & Vice City (save for a few plays of the latter a year ago on a friend's system before they abruptly changed halls). But then a guy put his system in the radio station where I contribute regularly and brought his copy of San Andreas, which I've spent the best part of the last 2 months being addicted to. So I've missed out on a lot of GTA folklore. If I had the chance to play them, would it be worth going back and renting the previous installments if I wanted to play this?
  4. Damn spoilers.... I was just looking for news for my segment, not spoilers for a film that won't be out until next summer
  5. Only just listened to this now. I'm more of a Mario fan personally, but it's nice to hear some Sonic love from time to time. I remember the Sonic cartoon (at least, the one with a robotic chicken) and it adds nicely to the upstanding tradition of terrible video-game cartoons*. Liked the clarity between the Sonic 3/Sonic & Knuckles thing, which confused me for ages - have played it on emulators and it rocked. Sonic Adventure 2 is undoubtedly the worst game I own on my Gamecube. Coincidentally, my cousins loved it whenever they'd come over 5 years ago. *EXCUUUUUUUSE ME, PRINCESS!!!
  6. As long as it isn't a summer blockbuster release.....which it almost certainly will be
  7. Uwe Boll challenges his detractors to a fight Even with your physical limitations, the opportunity's there!
  8. Don't be surprised if I release a full hour of bukkake goodness. See what I did there? Because of what you did there, I now can't see anything. Actually, might be a better emoticon...
  9. I haven't listened to all of this because I haven't, believe it or not, had chance to see X3 yet. I think I heard Yoda being snippy whilst I was skipping ahead, so I'll bear that in mind when I get round to seeing it! I did listen to the beginning and end though. I liked Kellen's segment - the title in question sounded quite nicely poignant, rather than the wacky stuff my brother tends to download - and it was good hearing 3 contributions. I would say though, perhaps it'd sound better to separate them up slightly. Dunno if I'm solely speaking for myself here, but I enjoy the in-show feedback of the segments. Not as an ego-boost or fishing for compliments, but just to get a general comment from Mike & Jenny so that the segment feels a bit more integrated as a whole. I too await the return of DW and his German bukkake feature.
  10. Good news: No Ghostbusters 3 Seriously, I wouldn't theoretically mind a remake in 10 years time when all the actors are looking so old that a direct sequel is no longer feasible (although I doubt it'd be nearly as good), but I feel now's too soon and don't want it to become a Frat Pack movie for the sake of it.
  11. Not to be outdone by the WWE in terms of wacky gimmicks, Japanese wrestling federations hit back by releasing their own rip-off of McMahon's outlandish gimmicks. AJPW: Mideon GAEA: The Spirit Squad FMW (Foley's old haunt): Shark Boy
  12. No no no no no no no no no no no no no no. No.
  13. Disney animated feature fo' shizzle, as you Americans say. Not only as it would prompt more discussion but comic villain is too similar to the video game bad-ass tourney in my opinion.
  14. Grrrr....I had a whole reply typed and everything and then something refreshed and I lost it. :grumble: Of the points I remember: - Both segments were vey enjoyable - Co-lamb-bo = Columbo - The truck driver's actually British, so I'd be suprised if he had a very crappy accent. Sir Peter Ustinov, no less; at a guess, he was having trouble doing a working class accent! - Elmo had a movie, set in Grouchland in fact! - Jenny HATES GROVER?!?!?!?!?!?!? Looking forward to the next episodes. I don't think I heard my seg mentioned tho' - did it reach you?
  15. Interesting stuff, but as you say Yoda, very long and pretty slanted. I've found that Wikipedia has a more concise version about the pre-production here (and mentions Singer as well).

    Wii news

I'm disappointed. Personally, I thought there'd be a lot more urine-based punnery going on.
  17. Damn, that looks evil. Possibly because of the towel...

    Episode #22

I WAS GOING TO MENTION THAT!! I like how the music throughout the show sounded more like the title sequence. Beforehand it was the cool Batman Beyond theme followed by that lame in-between music that I hated. Whilst I'm sad the theme's changed, the music overall is more consistent in this episode.

    Episode #22

Good show, methinks. Well-rounded in what it covered. - Silent Hill is something I've barely heard of - D.W.'s referencs in the Oratory and my friend playing a demo yesterday is pretty much the extent. Not the sort of film I'd go to see really (even if Sean Bean is in it), but I could probably be persuaded if it meant skipping revision! - That Mario Brothers story is ridiculous - I feel like the superior Briton I am when I read about stuff like that! - Loved the following line from James: "He's a loser in everything, including life" For a few moments I was wondering if that meant he died along the way!
  21. Not to be pedantic (not sure that's the word) but don't we have an Earth-2 greatest videogames thing to run down first? Granted, that's not a tournament, it's just the video game element of the tournament that reminded me of it.
  22. Try watching Dark City. Even harder to get your head around, given the role he plays.
  23. Very interesting column, Chris. I didn't feel optimistic for the reasons behind this book either, but I certainly wasn't aware of how comics were used back in the day.
  24. Apologies for dropping spoilers Yeah, it was a bit bizarre that me and DW made up the entirity of the show, but then I didn't realise I'd ramble on as long as I did. Ah well, I've only got one film to review next week anyway, so that should shorten things up. Shame it's X2 because I quite fancy the idea of my own rant! D-Dubs, don't be too despondent about getting a minimal response. It's the nature of the internet that people's interest flag in things after a while. Granted though, if no-one's contributing, it's probably best to sweep that segment under the rug quietly.
