The New Guy (1/8)

  1. I suggest 'Box Office Poison'. If you look hard you can get the entire collection for about 10-20 bucks, and it's something like 600 pages. It's a 'real-life' comic, not a superhero one, but it's totally worth it. Hell, anyone should read it who hasn't. Oh, and Y: The Last Man might be a bit more 'fun' than BOP. Crazy shit.
  2. I love pre-ordering. You go in six months early, drop down 15 bucks. Then a month later you decide to stop in and look for a used game, drop down 15 more bucks. Then when you pick it up you drop down 20 bucks and it's sooooo simple, so easy, and so fun. Then you don't have to drop 50 bucks from your poor salary (if you're me).
  3.  Ultimates is SO good. I hope they don't make this a total cartoon, though.. man, there's some great shit in that comic, character-wise.
  4. Hope you had a good time -- I can't wait for Chicago now!
  5. NCAA Football 2005, 5 days away, I can't wait. You won't see me for a long time after it comes out, I promise.

    Identity Crisis

I disagree.. I thought the first issue was FANTASTIC. If you had told me before I read it that it was Sue Dinby, I would have sobbed, but wow, it was an excellent story and it made sense, the fear of your significant other being attacked to get at you. Trust me, Yoda.

    Best Teen Titan

I'll go with Nightwing too. The Teen Titans rule... and what's even better is their latest incarnation is one of the best.
  8. Smax? Yeah, and I'm loving it... but the whole precinct needs to come back. drq Yeah, I think it's pretty good, but I'm a much bigger Gene Ha fan than I am Xander Cannon. Has this man written anything bad? I'm not sure that he has. Seriously.. Top Ten, Tom Strong, Watchmen, LXG, From Hell, Swamp Thing, etc, etc, etc, etc.. sigh. He's so dreamy.

    1602

I can't FIND this comic. I bought the first two issues, and then the next one I saw was 5. I said screw it, and I'm waiting for the TPB.

    Y-The Last Man

I haven't gotten anything past the first TPB, but I'm looking for it, and in the future, I believe I will be reading them all. Great, great comic.
  11. Endless Nights was, to me, the best Sandman story. It's all personal preference, but yeah.. what a good series.
