  1. Dude, have you PLAYED Conker's Bad Fur Day?!?! What a pile of steaming shite that was. Talk about overrated. My vote's with Goldeneye. Still one of the best games ever made. drq
  2. Those Marvel vs. DC fights were lame, too. They were all "Here's character A, showing off his powers. Now here's character B, showing off his powers. Cue big, smokey explosion. One of them is left standing. The end." drq

    Reed or Namor?

She's with Reed out of convenience and necessity. She'd have been with Namor out of passion. Myself, I'm a hopeless romantic so I like to still believe that your what you feel in your heart should outweigh what you know with your mind. Besides, Reed's a little bitch. I could apply the same reasoning to Jean Grey / Scott Summers / Wolverine. Jean shouldn't have wound up with the boy scout, either. drq
  4. If it were $50, I'd say yes. I'm still unsure about it as is. Get back to me in a couple days. drq
  5. I knew a guy once who had Pac-Man chasing a row of dots around his wrist. But personally, I say stick with the icons and logos. Hurricane Helms's Green Lantern tattoo is bad-ass, and an X-Men logo or Daredevil double-D would be killer too. drq
  6. That's all there is. It's just that picture of link, the blinking text and the repeating sound bite. In the same vein as http://www.yourethemannowdog.com drq

  8. Pretty much exclusively Sony. I'd been working on FFVII again, right up until I bought FFXI last night. I also have Xenogears on its way in the mail. drq
  9. I bit the bullet and bought this last night, since I'll be leaving Circuit City and wanted to get it while I still had an employee discount. Easy hardware installation, but actually getting all the drivers installed and the software updated took a couple hours. Didn't help that my router spontaneously decided to quit working for about ten minutes in the middle of the process. FF11 is... odd. It doesn't feel like a Final Fantasy, there's too much to keep up with. I was fortunate enough to find somebody running around in the first village that helped me gain my bearings and figure out what I should be doing, but it's on the whole a really overwhelming experience at first glance. The character customization isn't nearly what I was expecting, but the game itself seems OK. Like I said, it doesn't feel like a Square game, more like Diablo meets Everquest. I'll be trying my damndest to get addicted to this over the next couple days. Failing that, at least I have a hard drive for the PS2 now. Though FF11 comes pre-installed on it, in its entirety. They give you a game disc, but I've yet to use it. Basically, it proclaims this is a revolutionary, ass-kickin', 40GB hard drive (which really isn't all that impressive, honestly), but when you plug it in, you realize system files are eating 2 gigs of it, and FF11 takes up close to 10GB. So you're really buying a 28 gig HDD. drq
  10. That custom, old school NES SP is badass!!! $20 for Ice Climber, Excitebike, Super Mario or Zelda is a little out of hand, though. drq
  11. RE2. They're all a little dull to me, but that was the first one that really captured the "cheap theatre thrill" aspect of true horror movies. The first one was fun camp, but the second was somewhat legitimate. Plus all the extra shit they piled onto it was just ungodly cool. RE3 I could never get into. The whole "mix and create your own ammo" thing killed the whole fun of it for me. drq
  12. Correcto. The storyline in question was "Marooned," from the "Tales of the Black Freighter" series. Your go. drq
  13. What was the name of the pirate comic book strip that intertwined with the pages of Watchmen at various points throughout the story? drq
  14. How did it break? A DVD got stuck inside. Here, I'll post the story... this was mid-December, when I thought I'd just buy another right away. Later changed my mind and decided to wait for the price drop.
  15. I am furiously angry that this drop wasn't to the previously hinted $129. I've already bought one of these friggin' things and it broke. I don't want to pay more than a hundred thirty for another. drq
  16. I think that was mostly an excuse for Jim Lee to draw Psylocke in a towel emerging from a shower. Me? Either Roxy from Gen13, Blink from the Age of Apocalypse or Velocity from CyberForce. drq
  17. Ditto to Yoda's thoughts. I did get great personal satisfaction out of completing Tom Nook's first task. "Go write a message on the bulletin board!" I quickly ran to the board and posted "Tom Nook is a gay fag." He didn't seem to mind. I also adorned my front door with a beautiful middle finger mural. That game's hella fun with more than one person on the same card. Autumn and I kept leaving little surprises for each other when the other wasn't looking. I once planted an entire forest of apple trees behind her house. She wasn't pleased. We also kept burying trash in front of each other's homes, so we'd start the game thinking there was a wonderful present right on our doorsteps, only to be let down. drq
  18. Metal Gear Solid was technically the third in the series... GTA3 was technically the fourth. drq
  19. I'm right with you about Sin being a piece of cake if you've done anything even remotely resembling a sidequest, but dude... how can you see that ending and not get closure? I hated that they had to cut to an unecessary scene of Tidus swimming somewhere after the credits, but aside from that I thought the story wrapped itself up tremendously. Everybody had a logical conclusion, even if they weren't all happy ones. Anyway. My games: Star Ocean: The Second Story. I will never stop praising this game. Incredibly addicting gameplay, a story that's more than solid, dozens of different playable characters and endings, and a step away from the tired old "everybody take turns hitting each other" RPG cliche. Final Fantasy VIII. My favorite FF. The best characters, the most interesting sidequests, the most original gameplay. Great graphical direction, and characters that aren't just cartoons: they're human beings, complete with personality flaws. drq
  20. Final Fantasy: TSW made me cry unhappy tears of disappointment. drq
  21. Null vote. Either Tanuki or Hammer Brothers Mario. Tanuki Mario could turn into a STATUE!!! drq
  22. You gotta love Yoshi's Island. It's a prerequisite of this forum. drq
  23. Unless THQ has reaquired team AKI from EA (how's that for a lengthy series of acronyms?), this will not be No Mercy 2.0 I'll read the reviews, but I don't trust IGN any more, drq
  24. I wouldn't necessarily call Squee a sequel. It was more a series of funny shorts starring the kid who coincidentally appeared in JtHM. "I Feel Sick" was more in the way of a true sequel to Johnny. One of my favorite books of all time, though. Jhonen Vasquez is godly. His sense of humor is spot-on, and he can do serious stuff without losing a step. drq
