  1. For context:

    Spoiler

Anita Dobson is a well known classic soap-opera star who's been active since her heyday who, while also being married to Brian May of Queen, is enough of a well-known actress in her own right that when she wasn't in much of the episode you knew there was a lot more about her to come.

The extent of that is yet to be seen and I still found it exciting to see my suspicions confirmed.

Honestly I was mostly just very relieved that even though the Doctor being portreyed by someone who is black AND gay, my father-in-law kept his 70s values to himself during the show. Especially in front of the kids.

I've really enjoyed watching the recent specials and this episode with Evie and Link. Evie's lapping it up and, though a bit wary of being scared, has been fine. Link (currently 5) didn't watch specials 2 and 3 because he said he was too scared, choosing instead to play on the Switch but have a look when something exciting happened. It's fun family viewing and I'm glad to be a part of it.

Exactly! Cover Zach Snyder's Justice League instead of Justice League (2017).

Interesting...given that I barely remember watching the original cut (see episode 1091 for more details) the prospect of watching it and another version fills me with dread.

  3. Similar 'Small World' vibes - two mums from the class next door went to the same Secondary School as I.

Both from cohorts a few years lower than I so, needless to say, I don't remember them. You wouldn't give the time of day to anyone much younger than you when you're at school.

  4. It was so interesting to see English passive aggressiveness ramp up to the nth degree. Some people had zero conflict resolution skills and turned from nice people to shouty faces in the face of questioning. Alternatively, people who were logical/methodical were often seen as suspicious because they didn't fall over backwards to shout that they were "100% faithful".

In that way, Maddy didn't bother me because she, at least, stuck to a (flawed) theory, while Aaron and Meryl went all salty and "NO U" mode.

As someone who's played Town of Salem/Werewolf/Among Us it was frustrating to see how things were missed, or how people were manipulated.

    We loved Andrea so much.

Honestly, this makes me like Ragnarok more, because Thor wasn't an idiot in that. There was humor to be sure, but I never got the sense that he lacked any of the competence he'd displayed up to that point. Here, there's this bizarre undertaking of Thor not knowing how to present himself in situations and struggling to communicate to people. It simply rings untrue and I really don't care for the save of "Oh, well, still Thanos and also he's seeing Jane again" because it's too over the top for that to be it, unless it's bad storytelling.

    Absolutely. All of this. 100%

Thor 4 smacks of an exec saying "Y'know what, Taika? Go nuts! Ragnarok made Thor's pomposity hilarious, do more of that!

Also, y'know Korg? Have him speak, like, WAY more *sniff*. Like NEVER let any idol moment go by without him say something nonchalantly. In fact

    Spoiler

Take away all his skills as a fighter and make him a LITERAL TALKING HEAD *sniff*

Remember what Jeff Goldblum did in Raggy? Make Russell Crowe do that with less jokes and a problematic Italian accent while shitting on mythology. It'll be hilarious. The kids love shitting on Greek mythology. It'll help sell the point that makes the villain so effective. No...wait. That's IT! Imply Jesus is there too! With a Japanese food God! MEGALOLZ *sniiiiff*"
