  1. Though it's a deep story to go through, I'm pretty sure those are the Red Ninjas, renegade members of the Arashikage clan who often fought with Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow. And Jinx, come to think of it. This just looks great. I'm kinda sad to see Duke apparently die, because I like Channing Tatum, but he was very... un-good ... in the first film. And my biggest regret? We don't get to see Marlon Wayans die.

    DC reboot

You sure it wasn't a case of a writer who hasn't done any well-received work since the late 90s trying to make waves?
  3. Personally, I loved the initial Image run of "Powers," which I'd suggest to anyone. Also, if you like "Formerly Known as The Justice League" as much as I did, I'd suggest "Justice League: Generation Lost." And because I love the character, I'd suggest the trades of "Booster Gold." And I'm not sure if it's just me or not, but I loved Kevin Smith's "Quiver" storyline for Green Arrow. For Marvel stuff, I'd definitely suggest "Marvels," "Alias" and Claremont and Frank Miller's original "Wolverine" mini. There's probably a lot more to suggest, but it would help to know if you like any Marvel stuff to begin with.

So where has this Starfire been hiding?!?! She disappeared after gangbanging those other guards behind her.
  5. This story moved on the Associated Press this morning: Not a surprise to anyone, but why off him in the first place?
  6. Christ, I want this so fucking bad. But it's gotta be a Christmas gift this year. And that makes me sad.
  7. OK, cool, I knew it was possible my memory was wrong. Didn't mean to offend your fandom, dude. Bottom line, love the podcast, hate the "shipping," keep up the good work.

The art in that book is decent. The villain - a vague creature that looks like a Batman/Man-Bat lovechild - is definitely not.

That's a good point. Why would anyone pick up a copy of Savage Hawkman #2 with a villain like this on the cover?
  10. Just wanted to drop a line and say that I really like listening to the podcast each month, although - maybe it's my age - the 'shipping' stuff makes my brain turn into fucking mush. HOLY SHIT, PEOPLE. ANYWAY, I really like listening to the evaluations because it's interesting to see when I strongly disagree with you. It's a strong nostalgia thing (maybe that's not the right word) for me to listen and remember the episodes and my reactions to them. As a humorous aside, I remember somewhere around the end of season 2 I got a message on the Oratory from someone - I'm almost positive it was Kellen - saying something like 'I saw you have a picture of The Last Airbender as your profile. I think that looks interesting. Do you think it's worth catching up on?' My response was somewhere along the lines of 'Definitely, I think it's the best animated series ever made.' Just a few days later, I got a message back that said, 'I downloaded and watched the whole series already! This thing is awesome!' I'm thinking it was you, Kellen, because I know we talked on IM back then. But you might not remember that. Regardless, keep it up guys (and girl) because it's fun.

I realize it's very, VERY early. But they needed to start out by answering some key questions and many of the books I've read have only raised more and more questions, while answering only tiny things.
  12. I disagree with the analysis of the art on Wolverine and the X-Men. I thought Bachalo's cover image had insanely exaggerated proportions that can't be chalked up to perspective, particularly Wolverine. I thought it continued on the interior art, though certainly not as obviously. The interiors were very nice, but it seemed to me to vary wildly between realistic character depictions and disproportionate people.

Is it possible to feel like every book is both too full of information and not informative enough? Like, they're giving me all this shitty info that I don't care about and purposely avoiding telling me what I want to know about - the new status quo for the character. I'm not even sure I can pick a favorite book so far because they've all left me with annoying questions.
  14. That was pretty cool. I've been looking for other hidden goodies like that but haven't found anything yet.
  15. Plot, judging from the first film.
  16. I'm hoping I can get this for Christmas. I've been replaying Oblivion in anticipation.

    That vein is freakish.

    DC reboot

Not even close. Plus, Hal is as uninteresting as ever. Thank God Kyle is still active in New Guardians - which had a very interesting first issue.
  19. I'm gonna go ahead and pretend this doesn't exist. Then I'm gonna go read my Tower of Babel trade in peace.
  20. You would be the one to stand up for gingers.
  21. Robert Downey Jr. OWNS that trailer.
  22. Christ, you guys are sensitive. You're right, this is the Internet. How do you survive with skin that thin?
  23. Fat Russell Crowe was your tipping point? Honestly?

That was freaking great. I wondered where Shooter had been hiding himself these days.
  25. Dubs, I'm thinking if he was going to get the hint, it would have happened by now.
