  3. Now, admittedly, I don't play WoW, but I do play another online game, Guild Wars (which everybody should at least try the beta weekend for the standalone expansion March 24th, drop me a PM if you want a key). Anyway, underneath it's rating on the box it says: "Game Experience May Change During Online Play" I'm 99% sure that WoW has such as well. The fact is, she violated the EULA, and action was taken. Maybe the EULA is poorly written. I also love how she's upset because she got away with it before, as if the game's customer service reps can just sift through all the dialog from millions of players and catch every violation. Guild Wars players have been temp banned for excessive cursing, but you think they have to assign a rep to every guild channel, every town and district and party? Plus monitoring all the whisper messages, observer mode chats. It'd be an unbelievable amount of stuff to sift through. Just because you didn't caught doesn't make it right. Now, I agree that the policy is kind of stupid, which is why they issued her an apology and offered an in-game fix. What does she want above that?

    Holy Terror, Batman!

From IGN: Thoughts? EDIT: It's actually not his return to Batman. That would be All-Star Batman and Robin. It slipped my mind, and I can't edit the thread subtitle. On another note, this quick edit feature rocks. I like it.
  5. On the Colossus pic, could it just be his eyes? I don't really think his skin would be that red. Really, I'd have to see it in motion to know whether I like it. I agree with cvskin about Beast, Beast is supposed to be furry, but he looks like a hulking Nightcrawler.
  6. I agree that they should feature the X-Division more outside of Styles/Daniels/Joe. I kind of wish they would re-sign Low Ki, but that's for a different discussion. Well, they don't get ALL the WWE talent. But the reason they get them is because those stars have more exposure. The average guy who watches Raw every now and then has no idea who AJ Styles is, but he does know Christian and the Dudleys, so if he turns on the TV and sees these guys having competitive matches with TNA guys, he's more likely to buy them as credible. Of course, they don't seem to be doing that to a huge degree, though they're starting to with the Rhino/Abyss stuff. The hexagonal ring was just to be something different. Other promotions in the world use it, but it was to try and differentiate them from WWE when they first got Impact shown on FSN. And the Sting episode got the highest Nielsen rating of the Spike TV run so far, so I guess people do want to see him.
  7. I like Outlaw Star, but something always bothered me about it. The Gene/Melfina stuff just felt weird. Other than that, it's a good show, but not really one of my favorites.
  8. Truth be told, I don't mind the character. But I hate her costume. (Now that I think about it, that's probably why I hate Gambit. A coat doesn't make a very good costume.) It does for a thief. True, it works for a thief, but not a superhero. But (and this really only applies for Gambit), he uses the skills he learned as a thief in his superhero activities, so he wears what he's comfortable in. It isn't like his superpower lends itself to any sort of specific costume (in fact, the coat is probably good for him so he can hold more stuff in the pockets [cards, etc.]) anyway. Anyway, I'm going to go with my heart rather than my head and pick the X-Men. Because when I think of TEAM, I think of the X-Men. They live and train with each other, they go to class with each other and generally work closely together all of the time unless there are extenuating (spelling?) circumstances. Another thing that makes them a great team is that they pretty much (aside from the Phoenix) have to work together because the villains are usually stronger than any of the individual team members. If I'd have gone with my head I'd have picked the JLA. They are THE iconic superhero team.
  9. Truth be told, I don't mind the character. But I hate her costume. (Now that I think about it, that's probably why I hate Gambit. A coat doesn't make a very good costume.) It does for a thief. Anyway, is there a set roster we're supposed to consider for each organization or is it just vote for your favorite? And are The Ultimates considered part of the Avengers?
  10. Well, here's your feedback (on Friday, as promised): I didn't think it was too long at all actually. I thought some of the previous ones went long because there was a lot of dead air and stuff that just seemed like unnecessary filler in some of them. This one was just nonstop, so even though it was 2 hours long, it didn't really feel like it all. As for the age thing, I remember watching Garfield and Friends after school as a kid, I don't remember exactly when it come on, but it was definitely syndicated on some level. No mention of David the Gnome makes me a sad panda. That show got me through so many sick days I honestly don't know what I would have done had that not been on. Such a great cartoon. This episode made me curious about the GI Joe DVDs, as I remember watching some episodes of the show, renting the movies from Blockbuster, and as a male child I had the recquisite batallion of action figures, jeeps, planes, and boats. And they're freakin' expensive! Season 1 Volume 1 was like $65.00 from Amazon, and though it had like 24 episodes on it, that's ridiculous for a 30 minute cartoon show that was made 20 years ago, especially considering most new 30 minute full season DVDs are like $30, sometimes even cheaper. EDIT: I thought you and Jenny might enjoy this: Today's Penny Arcade
  11. How is this news? I mean really, last November had so many highly anticipated sequels that I don't really see how they couldn't expect a huge drop. Simply take Halo 2 out of last year and this year was better, so again I ask: what's the big deal?
  12. KScriv, get a download manager, I reccomend Download Express, it will let you pause and resume downloads. Just run it in the background whenever you're browsing, and eventually the files will finish. Because my computer is hooked up to the main phone line at home and can't use it on the Internet prior to 11pm, it's what I do. I've had it downloading this episode for the past couple of nights, and I should finish tonight, barring any unforseen events. So, I should be able to give some feedback sometime on Friday.
  13. I haven't gotten it here, but I got it on my mom's computer at the oratory yesterday. The virus protection caught it and deleted the file, so no worries about that, but perhaps I should let Spinner know. Actually, scratch that. I might have had Earth-2 up at the time as well. I can't remember. If anybody gets this at the oratory though, let me know. Edit: It's only happening here, and only on computers that don't have me auto-logged in. Odd.
  14. Sorry to burst your bubble, but most people (those who have a vague knowledge of manga / anime, that is) think it is all hentai, crap or both. So nothing has been tarnished. That isn't true. I'd wager that most people don't even know hentai exists, and if they do, they think it was some weird cult thing. I was in Suncoast this week shopping for my sister's Christmas present when a mom came in looking to get some anime for her son. The guy at the store helping her basically gave her a primer on anime, then tried to explain hentai. The woman got kind of freaked out, and it was the most hilarious thing I've heard all week.
  15. I think I've found the problem. How the hell do you not screen that stuff?
  16. Underdog. When they sung it in Scrubs it was one of the coolest moments that series has ever had. In fact, I'm going to go watch that episode now. It features some other great cartoon themes too, like Speed Racer. I'd have probably voted Speed Racer, X-Men, and Spider-Man above Underdog, but they aren't here.
  17. I don't know, let me dig it up. It happens in issue 44. He's hit by an energy beam on the foot. I originally thought it cut it off, but there's a later panel wich shows a skeletal foot hanging off (which makes 0 sense, since burning off all of his flesh should cause the foot to fall apart). So apparently they decided to get around it with some weird anatomy. I'm kind of disappointed now, because I thought it would be cool if his foot wasn't adamantium and they just threw in little references to it every now and then. Like, Colossus accidently stomps on his regular foot or something. Or he forgets its normal and kicks something in anger.
  18. I don't think it has anything to do with the Hulk being able to break adamantium. It looks like he severed them from the lower part of the spine, which means he more than likely ripped cartilage. It's one of the reasons I've always felt adamantium Wolverine's power has been greatly overexagerrated, by both Marvel and X-Men fans. At least in the Ultimate Universe, he's had a foot cut off by a sentinel. Decapitation should still be a major threat for him. And when did Ultimate Hulk come back?
  19. Wha... huh? It's coming out in 2006. And for me, it will probably be the comic book movie of the year. Maybe you meant super hero movie, but you said comic book. There's also V for Vendetta, but after reading it, I don't trust the Wachowski's. As for the other stuff, I'd have to listen to the show again, and I'm not going to be able to do that until Sunday.
  20. SIN CITY 2 . . . Anyway, I like this episode. There was something I noticed though, there seemed to be a lot of show note like stuff in this episode. For instance, the part where you just kind of randomly talk about how you'd like music transitions for each segment.
  21. What did I tell you about the Mario Brothers fan fiction? It's money.
  22. The first one from Yoda's sig, the rest, from Earth-2.net. I don't even have iTunes (and have no desire to get it either).
  23. Same here. I'd very much like to have people "live" on the air with us. But since that isn't possible, I'm working on other ways to incorporate more people into the show. It's possible, it's just complicated. All you really have to do is record the podcast as a Skype conversation. And the beautiful thing about Skype is that you do it all over a computer, even on 56K, so no expensive long distance calls (and Skype itself is free). But like I said, it's complicated. Certainly not impossible, though, and there are numerous online tutorials about it. I enjoyed the part about WE3, but it was late last night when I listened to the show and that was really the only part I was paying close attention to, as I had other things going on. I'll probably listen to it again a bit later and give more detailed feedback.
