  1. J Marv

    Sonic Temple

Apparently it was only released in Canada. And this is it's IMDB page. Not a lot of info there, unfortunately. Just cast and crew. Not much else. Episode 4 was nominated for an award though. Kinda strange if it never aired.
  2. Gamespy posted an interview with Feargus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian Entertainment, the team developing KOTOR II. Here it is: This game is going to rule all. Your entire party will be affected by your alignment, rather than just one member (other than your main character). Plus you start as a Jedi, meaning you get access to more Force Powers and get further power in them. I can't wait until February of '05. I hate the stupid XBox.
  3. Ok, I was kinda hyped for this until I read that interview. They're taking it out of the 80's? That's stupid. It won't work out of the 80's.
  4. Well then Goku obviously. He hasn't even tapped his Kaioken abilities yet, meaning he can increase his power exponentially from his current state.
  5. So, which Goku is this? Little kid, adult, adult post SSJ-ability, or GT kid?
  6. I am very curious as to what Tim Burton's vision of an Oompa-Loompa is.
  7. The Deus Ex symbol. A lot of the Final Fantasy symbols would make cool looking tattoos. The sith mask that's ubiquitous in any of the KOTOR II previews. A greasel. The Half-Life lambda. The Quake logos.
  8. Here's the poster: I'm not really excited about this. It was one of my favorite books when I was little, but Gene Wilder > Johnny Depp.
  9. Meh...That's like saying the Super Mario Bros. 3 remake brought the series back to its 2D Platformer roots. I want a new game. But Blizzard's too busy making a stealth action game and a very oddly designed MMORPG, but that's another story entirely. Oh and you do know who the people who made the Commander Keen games are don't you? The advertising for a Commander Keen remake would be some kind of hilarious.
  10. WARNING: There are things shown in this trailer that could possibly be SPOILERS for the movie. If you don't want to see them, don't watch the trailer. You've been warned. Revenge of the Sith Trailer. Anyway, this looks like a pretty good Star Wars game. Unfortunately somewhat of a rarity nowadays.
  11. Yeah, but that depends on Pyro being able to see Torch. Torch doesn't have to be aflame to heat Pyro's Tanks, and therefore could remain incognito.
  12. Torch can also raise the ambient temperature within a radius of about 80ft a few hundred degrees. So, he blows up Pyro's gas tanks, and Pyro dies. And since they're in a city, it would be really easy for Torch to get within 80 ft. of Pyro without Pyro seeing him. From his Marvel Directory Bio:
  13. It's really not fair to fight to the death, since Scorpion is already dead. Also, Akuma is far more evil than Scorpion since Scorpion isn't really evil per se. My heart says Akuma. He's basically as evil as evil gets. Plus, the Dark Hadou owns Scorpions fireballs.
  14. Torch nova-bursts. End of Fight. He's incapacitated for a while, but Pyro doesn't exist, so he wins.
  15. Mario wins with the double stomp.
  16. Killer 7's GC exclusive. Though it is another Capcom game, so it could get ported out. Sega has a bunch of GC eclusives, Super Monkey Ball and Sonic Adventure off of the top of my head. Did you really expect a huge franchise like Resident Evil to not get ported out anyway? Especially with the way adult themed games have sold on the 'Cube?
  17. No KScriv. Pinball is awesome. Cardgames aren't unless there are dragons, enourmous capital ships, or they are set in feudal Japan. Neither of which Metal Gear has.
  18. So basically, there's a new MMORPG coming from NCSoft and ArenaNET (former Blizzard guys who worked on the two Diablo games, and if the look of the game is any indication, some of the artists from the Warcraft games.), called Guild Wars. It's not due out until next year, but they're having a huge preview event this weekend, with what would have to be a pre-beta version of the game. This allows them to do a massive stress test on their servers as well. Anyway, it's free, and you start with a level 15 character and a few skills to give you an idea how the game mechanics work. The max level in the preview is 20, but you can level pretty fast (I went from 15 to 16 in about of hour of regular play). It's also heavily team based. An unbalanced team (in the first party I joined, I was the only healer, and the class that gave me healing spells was my secondary class) will get destroyed. While a balanced team will be very effective. This game is really good looking. It's not that technically advanced (it kinda looks like an update of Neverwinter Nights) but the way the areas are laid out is amazing. Some of the views (in one part of the demo, you can climb the rampart of a fortress), are nothing short of breathtaking. Spell effects look good. attack animations and hit reactions are well done too. In fact the only qualm I have is the sound, effects and ambient sounds are good, as is the music, but the characters have no voices. I'm not really a fan of voiceless characters, especially important NPC's like the guys who give you missions. It might just be something that goes along with the territory of MMORPG's. So basically, if you like MMORPG's, Action-based RPG's or just PC games in general give this thing a download. One caveat, though. Even though the client is only a 62K download (yeah, you read that right) the game is download more or less as you play, so a fast connection is almost a necessity. I'm not necessarily discouraging you 56K users, but you've been warned. Hurry up though, the demo only lasts through tommorrow. I'm Burakumin Kuvasz on the North America/Europe/everywhere else not named "Korea" server, so if you see me around, say hi.
  19. I guess so. I just remember Kitana being in it a lot. And it having a general post-apocalyptic kinda feel (I'm assuming it took place in Outworld, or the few episodes I saw did.).
  20. I liked the Street Fighter 2 V series. Apparently I'm in the minority on that, though. Probably because I'm not a huge SF2 fanboy and am ok with the continuity issues. There was a hilariously bad MK live-action series (as well as a cartoon on USA, but at least the cartoon had some fighting) that my UPN affiliate used to air. Again, I'm not a huge MK fan, so it was absolutely hilarious to me, probably not for someone who'd take it seriously.
  21. So...they live in Texas but are suing in New Mexico, where none of them live, and the only reason they're suing there is because they can. If they get a dime, somebody should be shot. Preferably the lawyer that thought this was a good idea. Plus, if they don't use drugs, how were the characters their likenesses? Oh, and I'm 100% sure that somebody with the nickname "Pink Floyd" doesn't do any drugs. At all.
  22. Hell yes to Final Fight! Add Double Dragon too. We need more beat 'em ups. They could even be done Max Payne style now. Which would rock all kinds of socks. Sam & Max Grim Fandango Zombies Ate My Neighbors The Lost Vikings Lemmings Killer Instinct That's all I can think of off of the to my head.
  23. But the person who plays Iron-Man would have to bring star power, and a lot of it. It's not an issue with Superman. Everybody knows who Superman is. Cruise is a great aging drunk who happens to be a hero. Maybe Ethan Hawke (though I think he's a little too young for regular Iron-Man, could work for the Ultimate version though).
  24. Lessee... Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, WWE Smackdown!: Here Comes the Pain, Doom 3 (though to be fair, I don't really want to, at all), Quake 3, Planescape: Torment, Any of the Tom Clancy games (I was gonna snag Ghost Recon Gold last time I was in Best Buy, but they were sold out), Yoshi's Island, Command and Conquer (the original), Crimson Skies, Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, MDK 1, Phantasy Star, Metal Gear, Metroid, various Final Fantasy games (really only played FFVII and FFX through, though have played most of the others), Jet Grind/Set Radio. That's all I can think of off of the top of my head.
