I'm piecing together a Winter Soldier costume for Dragoncon. I found a leather jacket at Goodwill for $7 that I've mostly fixed and cut to specifications. I bought a shirt from an eBay dealer that has the design of the metal arm on it. I'm going to use silver fabric paint over it to make it look metallic. (Praying that arrives in time.) Got a wig yesterday. Found an M4A1 Airsoft rifle and a rubber knife on eBay. Already have boots, goggles, fingerless gloves and cargo pants. Just need a tactical belt or a reasonable facsimile, knee pads and the mask that covers just my mouth and nose.

I'll say maybe, also. I got a refinance on my mortgage so it's possible I'll be able to save money for a trip up there.

Sweet, now I can re-read the shitty, convoluted Superman arc (in 1080p!) that led to to shitty, convoluted animated movie? Sign me the fuck up! In all seriousness, I'd buy the Wonder Woman edition. I love that movie to death.

I was watching Smeghead's VLOG about this movie and he mentioned that was the origin of the phrase in the movie. When he revealed that, I sat in my chair slack-jawed.

Agreed with Dan. Dragonball Evolution was a "let's keep the rights to this franchise" movie. This wasn't.

I haven't seen one positive review of this film yet. Here are some phrases I've seen while Googling around: "A dawdling, indie drama dressed up in superhero garb" "A tragic chore" "Powerfully mediocre" "The gloom is infectious" "A 'Fantastic' fail all around" "This is the summer's worst movie" "A complete bore" "Super only in its mediocrity" "The CGI rendering is abysmal" "Fant4stic is barely a movie. It’s a bunch of vaguely connected moments cobbled together to 100 minutes so it can qualify for a cinematic release; the idea there’s a coherent narrative with a flowing story between its vaguely defined beginning and end is so contentious it’s insulting." I'm going to go ahead and guess that Damien and I might be covering this at some point.

We have a tentative schedule in mind for next year. Obviously, anything can change, though. We do know there will be three episodes with guests (Will, Ian, and Hannah). Please keep suggesting films, though. We like having options in case things fall through.

Although, this makes me want to go back to my stash of old gaming mags and see what kind of opinions were being thrown around back in my elementary school days.
