    Young Avengers

He's not. They're just pointing out that the costume is similar. I know, I'm just preparing to be pissed!!!!! :grumble:
  2. Anyone pick up the new JLA Classified, with the team from "Formerly Known as Justice League" in it? Why DC can't just make that a regular book is beyond me. That would easily be my favorite JLA team of all time.

    Young Avengers

Picked it up today. Not bad. Not great, but it was only the first issue. I'll read the first arc. I will be uper pissed if Patriot ends up being Bucky.
  4. Do they still show this old ass game show on G4 where it's a bunch of old crappy arcade games. That was the best show ever made. Starcade!!!
  5. Batman would interfere and stop Castle short, saving the Joker once again... Oh, wait, that was the craptastic version that really happened. Castle would cut the Joker a new smile and not even think twice about it.

    Identity Crisis

I feel as though it was excellent. I hated the first issue when I first read it. I mean, who cares that Sue Dibny died. However, I was hooked by the end of #2 and loved it the rest of the way. Tim Drake is easily my favorite DC character, so watching his Dad die and seeing his reaction was a huge moment in the overall development of the series. Also, being a husband who loves his wife, the last page of the series always makes me cry, no matter how many times I read it. The other great thing is the fact that the shockwaves are going to be felt for years, and it all seems to be building to another huge DC crossover, this time involving Luthor.

    The Ultimates 2

It is going to be based on the Ultimates.
  8. The two episodes with Chronos were amazing. I loved the interaction between Batman, Batman Beyond, and Bruce Wayne. The Mr. Miracle episode was ok. I hate the New Gods/Darkseid/ all that other space crap that DC does, but any episode with the Flash is worth at least 30 minutes of my time.

    The Ultimates 2

The end of issue 3 was freaking great and set up so much potential for later on down the road. This might be the best book Marvel puts out every month.
  10. Ultimate X-Men. It's going the same way that the regular X-Men did: too many damn charecters. If the team had stayed the originals, and maybe Rogue and Nightcrawler, it would have been great. It took years for the original X-Men to add members, now it seems as though a new member is added after every arc.
  11. Hell, for sheer numbers alone it's got to be the JLA/JLE.
  12. DAMN IT!!! How hard is it for Nintendo to make a Starfox game that is a fucking Starfox game!!!! Damn!!!!
  13. Speedy (Roy Harper) vs. Green Arrow (Connor) Nightwing vs. Robin (Tim Drake) Spiderman vs. Nightwing Ben Reily vs. Az-Bats Batman vs. Daredevil
  14. TOYS!!!! Damn... had I known these were coming out, I would have waited on buying the Hush versions. (No, I would just buy both anyways.) Anyways, a Shazam and Metallo figure will look great in my office.

    Who is Hush?

I have always thought it is Jason Todd, but I doubt it. Also, in Batman, there is a new Red Hood who's movements are familiar to both Nightwing and Batman. Now he could be Jason Todd. As for Hush, I'll go with Harvey Dent.
  16. Shawn Michaels... No, actually the above is quoted for the truth!! I am so pissed that Hal is back and Kyle is becoming just another green lantern. Hell, at least Guy is back though.
  17. I figured since Marvel had a thread like this, might as well give some DC love Robin Batman Batgirl Teen Titans Flash Green Arrow Green Lantern Rebirth JLA
  18. New Avengers, Ultimate Spiderman, The Ultimates (which is the tits, by the way) Wolverine and a lot of DC.
  19. Batman: Hush: I am a Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb fan boy, so my view might be a little biased, but I thought this was a great story. There is also a little interaction between Supes and Bats as well. Year One: Great "Origin" story. It's a little strange to see Batman struggle, but it is very entertaining. Also, while not Batman stories, Batgirl and Robin Year One are also very good stories. Batgirl's especially. Dark Knight Returns and Dark Knight Strikes Again: Returns is better, but Strikes again also contains pretty much the whole Justice League. My main complaint about Strikes again is the fact that, at times, it reads like a Superman story, but a good one at that. People shit on it, but give it a try. Make sure you read Returns first though. Also, Killing Joke, Death in the Family, and Knightfall are all pretty good as well. Superman: Red Son: I commented to my wife while we were in Borders last night that I had read the story 5 times and have never gotten sick of it. A great twist on the legend of Superman. One of the greatest comics ever, not just Superman. Godfall: Mind you, I haven't read the whole thing, but what I have read I have enjoyed. Also, there was an issue of one of the Superman books in 2002, I believe, maybe 2003 that showed Superman flying around the world on New Years Eve to help a different person in every time zone. One issue, and not a knock down drag out fight in it, but this one issue reminded me why I loved Superman when I was a kid and still do to this day. Or, just get into the Superman/Batman series and kill two birds with one stone.
  20. So far, I have read Uncanny, New X-Men and Excabilbur. I just had a child and can't afford books at the moment so I have to read whatever Borders provides me with. Anyways, onto my thoughts. Uncanny Sucked. I hate the whole of idea of starting from scratch, but if you are going to do so at least use a writer who has written something great in the last ten years or so. The art was meh, but a whole hell of a lot better than the writing. Excabilbur was good with a great twist at the end. Really makes you want to pick up the second issue. The art is crisp, but the writing still suffers from Claremonts dated dialouge. However, his flaws, or old style if you will, is a lot less noticable here. New X-Men is great. I know a lot of people don't like Chuck Austen, but I think he is a good writer for this title. I love the idea, and I hope I don't spoil the book for anyone, of having the team members not all get along. Havok, Juggernaut, Iceman, Polaris, The new Angel guy, and that fish kid, along with Rogue and Gambit, should make for a very dynamic book. Also, one of the funniest lines I have ever read is spouted by Logan in this issue. The art is top notch, and I hope that if they don't already, that Maarvel gets Larroca signed to a exclusive. He is awesome
