  1. At one point in the show it was mentioned that David Russel made a horror movie with hugh grant and peter capaldi. I watched it last night and loved it. It's called The Lair of the White Worm Bloody fantastic, really hit the comedy beats and the horror kick. Can't recommend it enough
  2. Wanted to throw out that the film you joked about where Yoyo guy goes to Japan did get made. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yo-Yo_Girl_Cop One of the first foreign language films I ever saw. It is "interesting". Good yoyo based action. Like the show!
  3. I came across "The Rousters" recently when I was looking into Hoyt Axton. It was a real gem! Only 13 Episodes aparently. I cant track down the whole series but the pilot is on youtube. Sure its a gimmick crimefighter show like many have been, but this time the bounty hunters are the Earp Clan who run a carnival.
  4. I for one really want a manimal reboot. If no other reason than the stock footage in episode 3 which implied Chase was going to turn into a squirrel but didn't. I want to watch a squirrel fight. After the latest TABHAL I would also want Chase to fight crime as a llama.
  5. Turns out that Manimal is finally getting a region 1 DVD release. This November. Coincidence, I THINK NOT!
  6. I think ill watch crystal maze instead of Crime Traveller. Do you accept crystal maze feedback?
  7. I remember True Lies starting celebrity crushes in my 10 year old heart as well, for both mother and daughter. It's also one of the few movies where I always do the sympathy "oooof" where you wince and suck in your breath. Bitch-slapping with wedding ring gets me every time. Now to rewatch drive
  8. I have always enjoyed The Darwin Awards, a nice look at her as a mature actor.
  9. A quick defense of space recpetionism, though I am loathe to do it; From blakes (or even avon's) view, if you leave the following on the ship what is the outcome Avon: May just leave Villa: will be drunk Gan: be without muscle on the ground, a bit gullible Jenna: best pilot, best on the ship Callie: will murder anyone to get you back and continue fighting the federation. Post shadow I would leave Calli and Jenna on the ship too, that increases my odds of surviving, Mitch
  10. oh dear god that ending. Knowing does not prepare you
  11. I have an explanation for the glorious pyrotechnics in games. It wasnt planned, it was simply a poor bedraggled sound boom guy who snapped after having to go out to a f=ing quarry for the 15 millionth time
  12. I was hoping for The island of Dr. Moreau in space and Frankenstien in space, well Lolita in space and Frankenstein isn't too bad
  13. The phrase that came to mind was "what if Elton John designed Mad Max 2"
  14. This winter, after a long while I finally decided to finish watching blakes 7 and relisten to the podcast along the way. I last sent feedback in on sarcophagus, but watched through to Rescue the first run. I really liked rescue, the concept of doing Picture of Dorian Grey, IN SPACE really appealed to me. I was hoping for other classics redone sci fi style. Power was an episode i sort of enjoyed, until i thought on it and heard your comments. I thought they where going to have Pella join the crew, fill in the alien woman with brain powers role. Her and Villa worked well, her and Avon had sparks, and even though she was a cold bitch that fits with the crew. Right up until she shot Kate i figured she was a possible member. More personality than Soolin at least During power you where asking about the difference between sesca and woman, and the difference I believe is that the Stockholm syndrome sesca is surgically removing the collars they wear. The collar has two prongs which would have gone into the spine. I think its the collars/diamonds that amp up the power they can exert, without them they are more or less baseline humans
  15. I truly feel my life has been enriched. To the year of Cheese!
  16. Can I suggest "Todd & the Book of Pure Evil", a show which ran for 26 episodes on the Canadian channel Space. It is akin to redoing BtVS but with stoned metal heads as your leads and The Middlemans sense of joy at the bizarreness abounding on screen. I know it has seen air the States and the UK, but I'm not sure how big it was.
