I am currently enjoying the hell out of:
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
I am playing this with my daughter on my knee at every session. She loves it, and I'm sure that every twist and turn is not exactly resounding with her, but the gist of it has made it's impression. She requests this game by asking me to "save the girl" and replying "Zelda" when I ask which girl she means. Probably one of my most satisfying replays ever.
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
Metal Gear Solid 3 first, then Peace Walker, then Metal Gear Solid 2. Maybe then the two MSX games too.

I know it's been a long time since I've been here...but what the hell
XBL: LoganRage
PSN: LoganRage
Steam: mistah_mexico

I'm engaged. That is all.
I'M TOO DAMN EXCITED RIGHT NOW

So the new job?
Looking like I'm going to be managing a store...and probably not moving all that far (which means no packing up the family).
-
The idea anyone would buy that makes me gag and I find the entire idea hard to swallow.
Well played sir, I got a good laugh out of that.

Submitted "Thanks A Latte" (which can be found: RIGHT HERE if you haven't read it) to the '8in48' short play festival in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It's not huge, but hell, everybody needs to start somewhere.
Been meaning to say it, but I think it's freaking tremendous that you're writing and especially plays. One theatre guy to another, that's just fucking incredible to me.

Just paid off Discover, Juniper, and Capital 1. Feels good.
Buying a new bed and mattress...feels better.
Getting a new job, PS3, and shortly after...a nice ring for a certain someone.

Thanks everyone! Had a great dinner (shrimp skewers grilled w/garlic, breaded fried shrimp, lobster mashed potatoes...I love seafood) and a great day overall, as I've likely found another job too.
Thanks again!

Yeah the worst part is that the company didn't involve my boss at any stage of the process, just went right over him, fired me, told me whatever and opened the door for me to sue for wrongful termination.
- No process of warning
- The "policy" I violated is not even a company policy, but an LP policy in our district.
- Victim of a robbery
- No cause given for firing, they called on my phone and told me that they were moving forward with the "separation" and that was it.
The other person there during the robbery got off with a final warning. This has happened at another store...the staff is still intact, all of it.
-
So I got fired today...but I'm in their computer as re-hirable.
It's so utterly retarded that I can't wrap my head around it. The company knows it was an honest mistake and acknowledged that...yet went ahead and fired me anyway. My boss is a good friend and it seems like we're about to just end around this whole thing and if I'm re-hirable then after however amount of time (2 weeks or something) I'm back on staff. It amounts to a suspension. Just plain retarded.
-
So I might be fired from my job for being the victim of a grab and run robbery.
No 16 months doesn't earn you one mistake at your job, what kind of absurd company keeps the good employees and coaches them through mistakes.

I'm reminded of this:

That's amazing cvskin, good luck and stay alert out there.
You know what's awesome...my tax return is something like 4k this year. Oh yes.

See this is why I needed to remember my password earlier.
Also, I need to stop using the security questions from websites to make obscure jokes that only I chuckle at.

Watched a great movie...and saw a good friend of mine in it. Um...sorry for holding out, but you need to look up the name Tucker Smallwood. (don't snicker)
And then watch Black Dynamite.

I'll grab it when it comes out for PS2 next week. I heard a lot of people saying they butchered Harry's character, but I'll give it a try.
From one fan to another, they did a lot of things to the character that you may not agree with.

I'm a completest, so I had to beat it simply for the sake of it being a Silent Hill game.
The fighting pretty much never stops, but I didn't mind Pyramid Head and the nurses as much at the end because they do a decent enough job justifying it later on. I'm still trying to decide if I love or hate the story, though the bosses were very appropriate in retrospect.
My SH list ranking looks like this now. Haven't played Shattered Memories yet.
2
1
3
The Room
Origins
Homecoming
Shattered Memories is strange. I liked a lot of what the game did, especially the visual style, but it was a weird kind of remake/reinterpretation. The focus seemed to have changed a lot, but in a good way.

Playing Silent Hill: Homecoming for the very first time.
A few hours in and holy fuck is there way too much combat. You can barely take five steps before something else attacks you and the fancy combo moves are just about worthless.
Also, unless something later on justifies it (which I'm doubting), there is absolutely no reason for Pyramid Head or the nurses to be in this game.
That was one of the big reasons why I completely avoided that game. It was like the other studio decided that "hey, Pyramid Head is cool, so are fugly nurses...we can kinda ride SH2's coattails..."
Pissed me off. That and having this guy have a reason for a lot of combat and skills in combat by having him be a soldier or somesuch...I just hate it.

Got the full box set of The Wire...and that's all I'll need for a good 3 years or so.
If you haven't seen it yet...you need to watch it. There's nothing stopping you from doing it. Do it. Or I'll find you.
Also, I have Black Dynamite and This Is It. From what I've seen of This Is It, it's getting harder for me to say that Michael Jackson was sick, because dude was still moving like it was 1985.

Yeah, I saw that ComicVine did that for DC as well and couldn't help but notice that Marvel had a hell of a lot more.

When the top fourteen tiers barely matter to me, I think distinction is a bit silly. Frankly, Galactus should be able to fuck up Earth's shit, we don't need 6 tiers of guys above him.
That's what kind of stunned me to think about, Galactus nearly destroyed Earth...there are 6 tiers of even more powerful beings/people above him. The Earth could be destroyed 100 times before any so-called superhero wakes up in the morning.

Okay, in the desire to quench some boredom and some insomnia, I found a list that ranks the characters in the Marvel U by power level.
Which of these are debatable? Who is flat out wrong? Are some of these just blatant cop outs?
-
Ugh...that's terrible looking.
The more I give thought to a supernatural angle, I could see it being something that could be an interesting arc if you have him balancing the idea that he could get it done with his training...maybe, or he could give in to that spirit and make it a for sure deal, but with the consequences that may come with that. Losing a bit more control each time, maybe hitting or killing innocents, maybe something else that goes completely counter with Frank's idea of his own war.

Great to see one of the old guard of E2 is having a good go of life. Don't those old Can-Am pieces seem so lon ago now?
Here's to you Anthony.
Ages ago. Glad to see you've done a lot with things.

I read this...and my middle finger becomes aroused.
All joking aside, these types of stories are kind of ingrained in the human DNA. The hero stories are not exactly different at all, and they all seem to boil down to the same basic elements. All the other trappings are just icing.
