  1. Thank goodness. Though Castle dying would almost tie into that story if they wanted to. Almost like (dare I say it and give them another horrible idea that they could run with) they could attempt to make him Marvel's Spawn...banish the thought. I unthink it. I recant. Please god don't let them do that.
  2. Yeah I read that, but I feel like it was a real cop out of a story. I mean, Punisher is one of those guys that just works better grounded in some semblance of reality. He's a breath of fresh air in all of the super-powered, over-exposed titles.
  3. Recently got into a small argument about the Punisher at a comic book store. The guys there were adamant that he has some kind of otherworldly power, or made a sacrifice somewhere (similar to Peter Parker's idiotic arc with the marriage trading) that allows him to survive some of these impossible situations that he gets his self into. I disagree. I think it's a combination of being a highly trained, super efficient killing machine without a shred of conscience worth mentioning, and a steadfast will to destroy every enemy he's ever had.
  4. I am on 6 weeks of paid vacation (basically), because my daughter was finally born. This was a long long long nine months, but in it, I found the time to completely get my life together and deal with a lot of things that were troubling me as a person. Thank God. Not to mention, I'm almost married, and renewed my faith as well. Finally found a meaningful existence in this world...and it feels good. It's something else to be a father, just in case you're wondering. It's a weird, good fear and paranoia if that makes any sense at all.
  5. So far this year (in venting): My school has failed me (no financial aid means no semester), then instead of being able to start back in the spring, I instead have to go back in the fall of 2010. So a year of education is just gone. Only plus is that I get to spend that time with my wife and daughter, and that's better than stressing out about finals for sure.
  6. I've got the Droid Eris, and the phone is pretty smooth. The battery life sucks but it's got some seriously cool features and the service so far has been better than AT&T (had it for 2 years) and T-Mobile (had them for 3).
  7. Had a lot of time to play games since I'm off work for 6 weeks (CA family bonding is awesome, so are newborns), so I've been playing through MGS3, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy X, Resident Evil Remake (Wii version), and Super Mario Bros Wii. Currently in a speed run challenge with my sister in law on REmake.
  8. That's fucking beastly. I'm currently stuck at the place between medium and hard, which sucks because I want so very badly to move up. I'm a bass guy though, so it really shouldn't be as difficult.
  9. Currently playing: RE5, NBA 2k9, Godfather 2, NFL 2k5 and GH:WT. Metallica is coming back to me soon, and I'm likely buying a DSi and Castlevania/something else soon.
  10. I'm greatly looking forward to the review, no matter who does it. I have faith that the Saw game can bring Angry James out to rant and that would be the best thing that game can do.
  11. YES YES YES YES YES YES
  12. It's actually pretty cool, the comics open up as if you were reading them in your hands and you can use the arrows to zoom in on panels or turn the page.
  13. Is the Digital Subscription to Marvel worth it? I go there once a day so far to read (since I got it), but I really want to know some huge arcs to read. They claim to have thousands of comics, which excites me, but then I'm like the kid in the candy store. Too much to choose from with no direction and no start point. Would someone like to give me a start point?
  14. People should know better than to confront someone's mother. The situation will get way worse than it already is if you do that.
  15. Dropped my Sidekick on the fucking ground. Lost all of my contacts, events, text messages, and now it's ridiculous because I have to get numbers and people think I hate them or something.
  16. I may have that phone convo beat. Me: *company greeting* Customer: Is this *competitor*? Me: I'd hope not, that would mean I'm way late for my job at *my company* Customer: Oh...well, since I've got you, are you guys open? Me: Umm..yes. It's only 5 pm. Customer: Well, you never know. Sarcasm isn't all that funny either. Me: Well, maybe you should make sure you know where you're calling and at what time. Customer: I've had it, that's it, you've lost me as a customer, I'm going to *my company* instead~! After all of that, plus asking me if she called our competition, she still had no idea where she was calling.
  17. Well, my job is most likely the worst thing I've ever been forced to do and I've had a large number of shitty jobs, including but not limited to: Janitor, harvesting pistachios, and unpaid stage hand But this job takes the damn cake. I've been working at my current job for three years, and it's not the work that bothers me. It's not the unbearable changes to our operations that they spring on us seemingly at random every three weeks or so..no, it's the damn people. I'm doing nothing wrong, yet people are just too stupid to realize that things beyond my control are not going to be blamed on me, and that personal accountability is at an all time low. People have the audacity to get angry when I tell them that they did something that they actually did. Or when something is black and white, either it's done or it wasn't done, no gray area involved, and people still want to dance and make excuses. It burns my soul. Why can't I just become a sub already? God I'd kill to be able to quit my job.
  18. Def Jam Icon is steaming shit from a donkey anus...to be the most crude and disgusting I can be in describing it. Just terrible. Also, hello again everybody!
  19. What about when Quicksilver gets to some of the other mutants? I say when and not if, because it's bound to happen.
  20. FUUUUCK I hate Tony Stark.
  21. This series is so so good. But I have to say, the more I read, the more I lean towards dislike of Tony Stark. He tried first to set up a secret society of people to watch the watchmen of the MU, offending T'Challa and Namor, then practically forced Spider-man into his debt and a "blood-pact" with him, knowing that the bill was coming before hand, then lied to Spider-man about hiring the would-be assassin. Not to mention he's cloned Thor, and is in bed with known criminals, whether they be former or not is irrelevant, because anyone could have a relapse. Since the Stamford incident, the unrestrained hate of super-powered people is on or near anti-mutant levels of hatred. A mob beat the Human Torch down, and heroes are assailed verbally and physically everyday. The inmates that Speedball is locked up with are physically abusing him, the kid is only a teen, not some crazy Charles Manson type, he shouldn't be with these grown men, grown men who harbor ill will towards capes, I might add. Not to mention the denial and suppression of civil liberties left and right by agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the railroading of any captured cape. I was unsure before, but I'm now 100 percent behind Captain America, even if he doesn't have a plan, because he's fighting not only for liberty as it's outlined in the Constitution, he's also holding the government accountable for a decision that favors only part of the population, you can look at the conflict at Yancy Street to see that there are dissenters/people who don't support the war out there, and some are more vocal/physical than others. The war isn't about Cap having a plan, it's about the rights of the super-powered citizens being infringed upon, and in some cases, the citizens of other nations and other worlds too. Oh, and it's Tony's fault Namor's splinter cell is causing a bunch of shit too. He and Reed claim to be able to intuit the future, well they should have seen that splitting their community down the center and getting in bed politically with the bad guys is bad news. In other news, I'm glad Logan's against this, because in most matters, when he's got his opinion voiced, I tend to agree. Also, Luke Cage made a good point when Iron Man and Ms. Marvel tried to get him to sign on. Being persecuted for being different does change with the times, first it was religion, then race, and now it's happening to capes. Mutants went through it, and are going through it all over again except worse, now that they're an ultra-minority. I can only speculate that Charles Xavier and Magneto are not only shaking their heads in disapproval (for different reasons, of course), but also lashing out in anger at this turn of events. Anti-SRA...that goes without saying. I'm with Cap.
  22. I don't remember which issue, maybe 3, but he woke up from the coma looking for Sue. I want to know where T'Challa is in all this. He's my favorite.
  23. Hmm, the affair I suspected, but it just seemed too much of a leap to make, based on the necklace. I was kind of off put by the husband's interaction with Juno after the fact, but only for the brief moment before he was killed. But I guess that would explain Juno's abrupt departure.
