  1. The Brawl for All, according to JBL was his idea for the hardcore title, which Vince Russo took to me he wanted the wrestlers to become boxers. That was explained on the Attitude Era DVD.
  2. Avenging Spider-Man: My friends can beat up your friends: The first story featuring Red Hulk and Spider-Man going to meet the mole man is three issues, and feels really padded, like it could have been one. The Hawkeye story is strange, I actually spent more time wondering if the origin story for him was a joke or actually true. The final story featuring Captain America is alright for what it is, but it just sort of just says "Cap did a lot before he was cap, now he knows he can do that stuff and be cap" Nothing really to avoid here, just a mediocre trade. Trades: 70 Comics: 6 Omnibus: 1
  3. Batman and the outsiders: The snare: Crap. The story was confusing, and not really resolved, the characters all sound like parodies of themselves, and the art was pretty bland. I usually enjoy Chuck Dixon's Batman related stuff, but this was just awful.
  4. I think Michael is now actually worse than the rest of the family. They admit they are horrible people, he seems to still think he's a good guy. George Michaels finally realising he's a dick was my favourite part of the series.
  5. I just can't get into Deus Ex. There's just something about the story that I just don't care about reading.

  7. I finished it, thought it was good, but not great. The original cast, including Ron Howard were all great, but every other new character, especially Terry Crews are forgettable at best, and terrible at worst. The first few episodes were average at best, but it peaks with the Tobias and Lucille interactions, those, and their episodes are gold.
  8. Dear cyclists, you're supposed to be on the road, not the pavement. That's a slight issue, but my real issue is with some of you, speeding past me, and expecting to pass without so much as a "Thanks" or "Excuse me." again, just some, but you dicks are making everyone else look bad. So for all you cyclists who think you have a right to, and own the pavement and every pedestrian should move out of the way for you, go fuck yourselves.
  9. I disagree. I think there is a lot of great stories that can be adapted. Saying that, this looks pretty crap, mostly because the actual Flashpoint story was utter garbage.
  10. Batman VS Bane: The art was nice, the story of Bane's origin was interesting, but the story just ends, with Ra's and Bane ready to work together to find missing pages of an ancient book, then they find the area where the book is, and the story ends with no resolution, and some two page character introductions on Bane, Batman and Ra's. Unfortunately miss-able. Trades: 68 Comics: 6 Omnibus: 1
  11. If you don't mention Crystal Maze during this, I will cry.
  12. Does this mean I can blame you for my chat show "Suaving round the world" never making it to air?
  13. I love how the console will "Not stop if you're connection is lost" that's a nice way of saying "It needs to always be online, but if downtime happens during a game, it won't affect you to much." Yeah, that was my major concern, downtime.
  14. See, it's comments like that, that meant you never passed the first round and won that kettle, in price is right.
  15. So, the current pre-order price in the UK is £400, from Zavvi.com. This may be lowered or raised later, but this is currently what you would be expected to pay for a pre-order.
  16. That was the greatest conference about TV's I have ever seen, it really got across how great Smart TV's can be, in this day and age, and how we can do so many things with them. Now, when do we get to hear about the new XBOX?
  17. I was with you up until not going to see it.
  18. Yes, but how many can have such a great name as Curtis Axel.
  19. Batman: Knightfall Book 3: Parts of this book were good, parts were terrible, and parts were just there. I think the Bruce and Azrael stuff is both overdone and underdone, their first battle is to long, and then their second just sort of ends. The stuff with Catwoman is just sort of there, and is pretty dull, the stuff with Tim is interesting, but never properly explained. Bruce's redemption stuff kind of fell flat with me, a bit like it did in TDKR, there was no tension of will he won't he succeed, it was just a case of how long would it take. The best stuff in the book, to me is the prodigal story, where Dick finally takes over as Batman, the main issue I have with it, is most of the event is just Dick being introduced to recent rogues, such as The Ventriloquist, and a Two-Face plot that's kind of a letdown. Of the three, this was the only volume I had available to read, so I understand that I missed some stuff, but thankfully, the book feels mostly self contained, and catches you up on anything you missed. It's just a shame that the stories are serious hit or miss. Trades: 67 Comics: 6 Omnibus: 1
