  1. I enjoyed Fandango's entrance, Daniel Bryan being barraged with pointing fingers screaming yes, and Taker/Punk. Everything else was either rushed or shit. Rock/Cena was boring and rushed, and Triple H/Lesnar was just crap.
  2. A Clockwork Orange is a great film, and also his best work, as he somehow makes you care about this convicted rapist/anarchist, and then, feel sorry for him. I can't name many other films that can turn something that dark around.
  3. Once Upon a Time is also getting a spin-off show, so that. I agree with everything Will and Tom are saying.
  4. I read the first page wrong then, my mistake: Daken.
  5. So, 18 episodes have aired so far, is anyone else still watching? I am, and I think it's great, a fun show, and mixes action, comedy and character development just right. The humans still look weird, but they're rarely in it, so that's a minor complaint at best. And can the name of this thread be changed from New TMNT cartoon in 2012, to TMNT 2012, or something similar, seeing as the show has now aired, and has three series already commissioned.
  6. Harry Osborn, with the Green Goblin formula still running through his veins.
  7. So, this Sunday is Wrestlemania. Got to be honest, this is the first mania in years I'm not really looking forward to, most of the matches seem to be a foregone conclusion, I'm still going to watch it, but it just doesn't have that big event feel for me.
  8. Simpsons: Get some fancy book learnin': This was a compilation of classic tales, such as Zeus and Hercules, among others. I've never really enjoyed the three part episodes, and felt they diluted the halloween specials with it. Not bad, but just ok, at best. Wolverine: Goodbye Chinatown: I have yet to read a bad Jason Aaron comic, the man really gets the medium and tells great stories, with great humour. Really fun. Judge Dredd: The Chief Judge's Man: A three part story about a mercenary hired by a judge to take down those who oppose the judge's regime. Apart from the part three reveal, with Dredd putting everything together this was the fun story of a two men who think they are doing the greater good, by keeping order in Mega City. 9. I was about to say the same. It's a hard line to walk between showing new twists on the story, and showing what people to expect.

    Randomness

Maybe it's because I watched it a few weeks ago, but those posters remind me of They Live.
  11. You bastard. That was my idea! Frank Castle:
  12. Batman: War Drums: An ok filler series, basically covers Stephanie Brown's run as Robin. The art was nice, but the stories were all pretty flat, so this was missable, and leads into the crap War Games event. Avengers Volume 2: Red Hulk joins the team against the Hood. I didn't care for John Romita Jr's art here, it seemed pretty childish, it felt incomplete. Average, but still better than the Fear Itself tie-in issues. Gotham Central: Volume 3: This may have been the best Batman book I've read in a long time, and it barely features Batman. I've always wondered what the GCPD do, and now I know, they deal with the crimes Batman has no time for, and when they can, they try and keep their families together. Just awesome. Superior: Mark Millars take on Captain Marvel. If it wasn't for his need to have at least one swear word on each page, this would be a lot better. I've never enjoyed Mark Millars creator owned content, and this was no different, there's still something very bitter in his writing, like he thinks every comic character has an ulterior motive, or they all need to have a dark side. 13. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20130403/us-wrestling-death-lawsuit/?utm_hp_ref=entertainment&ir=entertainment Martha Hart has settled her lawsuit against WWE.
  14. Yeah, it's a good film, but it's not in the top five best Pixar films, but it's certainly not the worst either, but yeah, it doesn't live up to the hype. And like Hannah said, someone get Brad Bird on Incredibles 2.
  15. Bumping this to make sure Will sees it.
  16. Having to bite your tongue when a friend tells you about a problem, and you know, whatever advice you'd give, is clearly not what you would be doing, as you're in a similar, yet quite a bit darker, situation, and not wanting to appear to be more of a hypocrite than you already are. That sucks.

    DC reboot

Supposedly, Scott Snyder, and Greg Capullo are having their contracts altered to make sure both stick around on Batman till issue 50. As a fan of Snyder's runs on Batman and Detective Comics, even if his stories have a sort of "It all falls into place in the last two pages" twist, I'm happy with this. http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/03/30/greg-capullos-new-contract-and-james-robinson-on-tip-toe/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  18. Carnage: I read the first issue when it came out, and found it to be a bit slow, and the art not to my liking. After reading the trade, the art started to grow on me, it was fun, and entertaining, but yeah, Carnage still sadly feels like a one note character, which is a shame, as I've always loved his look. Avengers: Fear itself: Half of this is people talking to the reader, about the events of fear itself, and their team mates for a book about the Avengers, that is not properly explained. My only complaints are that Spider-Man is incredibly annoying in this book, and the page after page of talking to the reader. I never bothered with Fear Itself, the event, so some of the events in this book were confusing and not really explained, so yeah, a book to miss. Green Lantern: Brightest Day: Yeah, this book should have really been called "Green Lantern: Prelude to the war of the green lanterns" as most of the book is just Hal meeting the rest of the other corps, and finding out that someone is stealing the entities. That's not saying it's not good, Doug Mahnke is a great artist, and the story is interesting, but reading this all at once, really just makes this book feel like a preview story, for the next Green Lantern event. 20. I'm looking forward to the one that's just him in an armani suit and is called "Starkers"
  21. The further down the rabbit hole I go, the more disgusted and angry I am. Also, fuck liars.
