  1. I agree, Wayne is meant to be one of the richest men in the world, and the difference between him and stark is too much, in my opinion.
  2. Heres a video that was put together with all the tv trailers for the dark knight, it saves some time. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Kgqhp5uz8_8&feature=related
  3. I opened a myspace account!! yay! add me if you want to. myspace.co.uk/suavestar that is all, i ran out of funny things to say. or never did.
  4. You mean the photos of Sarah and the dog? Or the Halloween pic. I like the idea of the recruiting of Murphy's son, but him holding the pic up to him to prove he knows(if he lives)or knew(if he dies)his father. A bootleg is the selling of a product available elsewhere, but not on that market. Freddy's Nightmares isn't available anywhere else. The VHS's have stopped being made, Chiller TV(which I don't have)no longer shows it. The only other place to see it other than the fan set is on video.aol.com I can give you the info if you're interested. My friends is great and he will see it gets to where you are. The halloween photo, i like that in the first robocop movie Murphy looks at it and has the memory's that make him wonder who he is, and what the hell is going on. I'm wondering about the recruitment of Murphy's son and can't think of one that won't look cheesy. Well, for the Freddy's nightmare set, i saw a couple of the clips of the show on you-tube, and they looked really cheap. I'm not saying it's a bad show, i mean what i saw was just odd looking. How are the bootlegs anyway? Quality and sound wise? PM with your friends site/eBay page and I'll see what he has, i saw the sets that you posted elsewhere and they looked like good quality ones. I could put a joke in here that only people who have ever been to Glasgow could get, but dammit it I'm a crap joke whore "it doesn't look like the crap you used to get at the barras!"
  5. I don't know about the whole Robocop's son being Kyles father or brother. I would definitely have to think about that. I don't want it to just be another "Luke, I am your father" type thing. I do remember loving the first TV show(I know there was another live action thing, but forget if it was a show or pilot movie). I don't want to end the film, like the other 2 Terminator films. I'd like to end it like the 1st Robocop film, with the sudden title. Murphy's wife being alive or even in the film is something I am still thinking about. I mean I can write a scene with it and see what test audience would think(in a screening)and write an alternate ending, which I posted before. Did they release the series on DVD or do you just have a bootleg version? Check out my myspace for box art of my Freddy's Nightmares and Halloween 6 Bootleg(or better yet fan made) sets I have www.myspace.com/eric20other2002 Well, you don't need to have John speaking to Murphy's son, why not have him pull over at the house and be holding the picture fro the first movie? I agree with the end of robocop where they're would just have whats your name "Murphy" The TV show was released on DVD and i paid £13 for it, and my god i could not get through the second disc for the life of me! Yeah fan-made sounds better than than bootleg, bootleg sounds like its funding drug rings or worse some guys Saturday job!
  6. I like the ending with the cops coming back to work, what about a voice over with John explaining how its not the end, the beginning of Judgment Day is in front of us, but with people with Alex Murphy, maybe there is still hope that we can prevent our own extinction. You have to remember that Murphy's wife already knows that Murphy is Robocop, in Robocop II Murphy tells her that he is dead and that his image in Robocop is an honor for him. You could have it where John finds his son(during the voice over) and tells his son what happen and a handshake, showing John making his first recruit and cut to credits. Yeah, the first recruit could work, Murphy still loves his wife though and i think John should tell her, and ignore tv show continuity! I was thinking about whether the TV Series should be in continuity, it was actually quite dark for a 90's TV Series. But I ultimately decided to not include it. The reasons for this are; 1. I don't remember much about the series except it was dark in tone and the credits featured a scene from the first movie. 2. I don't want to have to keep too much history other than the 4 movies(2 Robocop and 2 Terminators)intact. I never got to see the other TV Series(I actually think it was just a pilot)and only saw 1 cartoon episode. I was thinking after we see the handshake and it goes to black, we'd hear thump sound with the words(The Future Has Begun....)and than credits. I got the TV show on DVD and it does not hold up well, in fact the are just shit. The cartoon was just the story's of Murphy and Lewis and they were also shit. But i loved them as a kid, because......it's fucking robocop! The whole the future has begun thing is nice, but instead end the same way that the terminator movies ended it. Have a long journey down the road with John, narrating it and saying that I know know that their are people out their who we can trust, i know their are people that i can trust..... John then says that Judgement Day may never be averted, but we now have more time to prepare. What if John meets Murphy's son and his mother and she has taken on her new husbands name and so has her son....Reese? And that would be Kyle's older brother/father?

  8. Well you can blame Linda Hamilton for James Cameron! That's a good catch about the whole kyle Reese thing, i never thought of that. What if Robocop is made ten years after the end of T2 and as we can't truly say when and how a man is murdered as the future is being written right now, Murphy's death could be the instigator of the return of Sky-net? This way time has passed, and everything seems fine, and perhaps John is now working at a gas station or some job where he can get paid in cash and that's how he hears about Murphy? Your comment about T2 can be summed up in this quote "I swear i will not kill anybody.." but dammit it's still in my top three favourite movies of all time. the whole keeping the military out of it, why not have sky-net as the security advancement department for OCP as the normal cops are dieing too fast for new recruits to take over, and robocop could cost less in long term for OCP, i think this might be a plot-line for robocop 2. How about when John is in jail being interrogated, Silberman is the one talking to John and explaining to John that the events of Judgement day as Sarah told him after the events of T2. The crooked cops was a theme of robocop 2 wasn't it? with that guy who gets tortured by Kane? the fight between Murphy and John about John coming, how about-we cut from John talking to Murphy to seconds later, John knocked out and Murphy going to fight the terminator. About a minute later Murphy drives along and he plays what happened with John and Murphy shouting at his son inter-splicing the two together? Later Murphy could say(You said this in your first draft) Murphy saying "I'm sorry" What I'm wondering is how will they beat the terminators? Cause i don't think anyone wants the kind of cop out that T3 took! I'm still mad about that. The continuation of having crooked cops being on the force is just to show how messed up Detroit has gotten and to show that OCP is trying to hurry the end. The way of beating the Terminators? That is something I'm still trying to figure out. I don't want to cheat the audience with something like blowing up the factory. How about sending a virus through the main computer which will screw up the Terminator's programming. We can never change the future, because than John won't exist. So there always has to be a sense of Judgement Day still coming... What if as Murphy is technically its grandfather the system does not recognise him as a threat, Murphy can go in and take out the main security of sky-net and destroy the system. to handle the cant kill it completely problem, why not brainiac it? have the system be on a hard drive that the head of OCP is keeping with him as, the shock ending is he was a terminator sent back to take over OCP? that's kind of cliched i know but if done right, it might work. Why not have OCP just saying "Fuck it, robocop works, lets make more" and so they mass produce thousands of clones of him, not actual clones, but close to him, but they don't have the human interface so it's just computers alone now? How about revealing that the head of OCP is the one who made the computer's self aware and turn on the human race? I thought about the clone idea, it may work. How much of Murphy's body wasn't used when they built Robocop, perhaps OCP put that on ice. I can see Robocop going in and disabling the other Robocop's, blowing up that factory, while John is in the main OCP building uploading the virus into Skynet's main computer. I don't want this to be series, so we'd have to make it so there is no Robocop Vs Terminator II, like with AvP II. The whole self aware thing could be used as a way of cutting corners in the company? that would give a reason for not using real subjects as they take time and money to use. What if the head of the company uses the computer to keep him alive for years to come inside a machine like Murphy only he screws it up. they destroyed the rest as they would just give up if Murphy failed as robocop. what if the main building has john holding the executive hostage for what he knows and Murphy going through the science labs destroying the technology or setting up a bomb? John decides to kill the head of OCP and Murphy doesn't physically stop him but warns John that he would become a criminal and that would mean he would have to take him in? John puts the gun on the desk and walks out and the head of the company blows his own brains out? What if Murphy decides he must die like Arnie did in two to stop sky-net and john must do it, as if john does it, then john takes a part in history and alters the future and makes sure he cannot be unborn? Murphy asks John to find his wife and tell her he loves her, john destroys Murphy, and so Sky-net is gone. we cut to a few days later and the end of OCP and the cops coming back to work, they would have been fired in favour of the first wave of terminators. which would lead to a final human vs terminators battle, which we all wanted to see. John the parks outside Murphy's old home and knocks on the door and Murphy's wife answers, and John walks in and tells her about Murphy and what happened, and how he is a hero, not was, is. Then we end the movie, with John saying this is not over, it will never be over but with people like Alex Murphy, this was just stepped in favour of the humans.
  9. To prove D.W's point all I'm saying is Hello. Seriously though, the whole you must buy robin or some shit, which is written by someone else, your right, it is total bullshit. What the fuck is going on with this story! I got a headache from reading the first page of a comic, a comic! I was in the shop looking at this and saying"did i get the last issue?"

  11. Thanks for watching it, and the feedback. Your right i need to work on the talking as i need to speak for the time , i think if I'm going to do it again, i will write a script or just bullet points. Yeah the video quality was terrible, i really need to work out how to do the footage a lot better. Again thanks for watching it AJR

  13. That was 5. I thought it was completely lame how they ignored the "Psycho Tommy" twist at the end of 5 when they made 6. It's like Superboy Prime punched reality or something. That was 5. I thought it was completely lame how they ignored the "Psycho Tommy" twist at the end of 5 when they made 6. It's like Superboy Prime punched reality or something. It was stupid, but they originally wanted Corey Feldman to come back in a full movie and be the killer. That's why at the end of the 4th one he has that psycho look in his eyes. Corey Feldman wanted to do it, but was busy working on The Goonies, so he could only do a cameo. The ending of the 5th movie still showed that the Producers wanted Tommy to be the killer in the next film, but the film was so bad they decided to just bring Jason back, thus part 6 started the "Zombie Jason" films. To this day Corey Feldman has stated he would love to return and do another Friday the 13th film, maybe one day. Well i hated it, the only part i found i found scary was when the guy with the axe "accidentally" smashes it into the back of the fat kid. the twist could have been done so much better, it could have been one of the other kids but no, it had to be a guy who is only seen through small parts of the film that gave out the definition of "who the fuck is that!?" and "What the fuck was that!? Also it would have been obvious it was Tommy was the killer, but would have been good, however wasn't Corey Feldman thirteen? how the hell could he have looked anything like Jason!? that's just a nitpick though, it's almost like the producers said "crap, we lost the feldmeister! who's going to be the killer now?!" "what about Jason?" "No, that's dumb he's dead..." "How about that guy?" "Who?" "The cop who's in the film for twenty minutes at most!" "OK, and we'll say he's the boys father but never told him or some crap like that" that's how i felt it went. Just out of curiosity, wasn't their one where Jason buys a new mask? Oh and Feldman made a good choice the Goonies was a great movie. Maybe they'll give Feldman a cameo as weird shopkeeper who works a mile from the camp and gets killed by Jason as a nod to the originals.
  14. Just picked up issue 678 of batman.....Am i missing something??? it feels like something happened in another comic that i missed. Also the last page was great!
  15. I'm not a writer, at least not in the structure type way, so this is really just a blueprint of an idea. I thought about including Dr. Silberman in the script, bu I just figured since he witnessed what happened in the 2nd one I'd leave him to just be given a nod too. I didn't like his cameo in part 3, as he was there just for continuity laughs. The idea of Murphy stopping John because he's shoplifting is a decent idea, but that's what he was doing in T3(and while the film was okay, it was a sad continuation). The black guy you're talking about is the one who was a good guy of sorts in 1 and 2 and than seemed like a bad guy in the 3rd one right? The guy with the glasses? I was also thinking of having screenshots from Robocops 1 and 2 and Terminator 1 and 2 going as the opening credits are rolling. Having a theme that combines both the Terminator and Robocop themes together. Having Robocop being shot or knocked down by The Terminator is a great idea, this way when he says it at the end its means more because he didn't get to say it earlier. I was also thinking about having a twist in which OCP reveals that Robocop is actually the first model Terminator, with ED-209 being the 2nd model. The Terminator not recognizing Robocop is because he wasn't given that information in its programming. The part with Murphy saying "I'm Sorry" and than knocking John out is a bit cliched. I would like it to be sudden, perhaps Murphy could apologize later, but it would be a shock to not only John, but to the audience. Thanks for ideas, I'm also writing a draft for 2 new Crow films and could use a co-writer. first off, my main gripes with T3 were the way they dealt with the T-X or rather didn't, they defeat her in a convincing way, then have her fight again five minutes later??? wtf! My other gripe is the continuity killer "We never could stop judgement day.." erm what!? so all the time i put into T2 was for nothing!???? Yeah the guy with the glasses who says about Murphy's food "tastes like baby-food" it'd be nice to bring in characters from each series and see how they'd react to each other. i like the intro idea, and with both themes being fantastic, well the original robocop them and T-2's theme, a remix of both or something like the batman superman adventures could work out really well. Though the idea of Murphy being the first model for the terminators is good and different, ED-209 came first, why not have him as the blueprint for actual robots and robocop for an experiment by the company later on if human/computer interface works. As ed-209 is like the terminator in that both have things to do and nothing will stop them.....unless reprogrammed. When John is knocked out, why not have Murphy just look at him, and play footage of his own son, and John scream "help me!" and Murphy trying to save him, by not letting him battle? yeah, no problem with giving the ideas, i would love to see this get made, as it is a great concept and even though both franchises have been watered down by sequels and such they can still be used if brought back to basics. Just a thought i got, why not have the doctor as a protester outside OCP about robocop? With him saying it's the end of the world if he lives? Also why not have John smashing up a place to call out Robocop to destroy him? this will happen at the start before John realises Murphy is still human. I don't like the idea of a suspicious kid, it doesn't sit right with me, it seems like its just a way to introduce the character. And yeah, about your last part, as i haven't got a bloody clue how to do partial quotes, so yeah, if you want i could help with that.
  16. First off, thanks for the feedback and thanks for giving me the title of that batman book, i don't mind that you liked it, personally i dint like the idea of batman as an actual vampire, but if you liked it that's alright. Crossfire and that did not take place in sequence, though it was weird watching him and the Russian like that, and just to say the great line about the docks and slums, i originally was going to write it was in crossfire, so even i got a bit lost with those two. i didn't even think of memento great catch, and a great movie! The Lucius part, true that's what he said in begins, so that would be contradictory. However Lucius is still the head of that department, as well as the whole company. Though rethinking that, your right, it was dumb and does not sit right. I'm saying this even though i liked that sequence. The fire thing, well I'm going to take a blind stab and say when he got set on fire in begins, he may have tried to buy some stuff that would be fire retardant as he is still learning. The abyss thing when probably makes more sense like that, but its when he realises that no one can help him he is tumbling further into the abyss, but now doesn't want/need Alfred's help like he did in begins. The bill finger thing is true, Bob Kane really screwed him over. I agree that we have our own views and it is up to the reader to decide to watch it or not.
  17. This is a bit of bump, but i thought I'd read this, what with me playing the game on the mega drive, that's not a shill i really am playing it. First the opening was really good as the first film opened like that with a news report instead of the commercials you mentioned, I liked that. John Connor should not have been Murphy's partner, why not have Connor killed? it would stick with the whole "No fate, but what we make" so John dieing does not alter history, as it may have not been the final plan. God i hated T3, but that's besides the point. instead of John walking about suspiciously why not have him steal supplies for something, like food, that would be more of a reason for Murphy to arrest him for shoplifting. The interrogation sounds like the ones from the first two movies so i would recommend having the doctor at the other side of the two way mirror, keeping it in that continuity. Showing first the father then the mother and now the son telling of the hell that is coming, and him even though he saw it in T2 is denying this story. Also have another cop in the room asking the questions, not Murphy, just have Murphy in the room and checking Johns heart rate and playing footage of his own son and how much John looks like him, thus giving Murphy a reason to help this kid. The murder by the terminator sounds good and Johns realisation that it has come for him and telling Murphy they must do this i like the way you are foreshadowing the future, with the military leader way he tells Murphy, a bit like T2 when John says "I order you not to go...."Perhaps Murphy says I'm sorry before he knocks John out, perhaps by giving him a sedative is that what you meant? The scene with the terminator and Murphy is good but an idea i have is why doesn't the terminator recognise Murphy and Murphy says "dead or alive you..." and the terminator shoots him down in one shot.? that way Murphy's killer line is not said and shows how little the terminator gives a shit. The terminator then asking for John Connor is nice and should stay perhaps the terminator could beat the crap out of him like ed-209 did in the original? when Murphy is left with no power left, the terminator goes to leave and hears through Murphy's headset, or radio depending where the fight takes place, that John has woke up and escaped from the prison, again as a callback he can do it like Sarah does in T2 with pretending to be asleep, the guard could be a young Kyle Reese? Robocop slowly crawls to hiss car and the terminator decides to destroy him but a car comes in and runs over the terminator, it's John, he opens the door ala Lewis in the first robocop movie and says "come with me if you want to live" I don't like taking him to Lewis's place, maybe they stop at Lewis's place and pick her up, but why would she have the technology?? Don't make her a love interest, it's too much, i feel Lewis is her own woman, perhaps have a bit of flirting but that's it. Do you know how John and Murphy beat the terminator? Also the terminator should be very malicious, how about he kills Murphy's former wife or son. Also John shouldn't know the terminator wouldn't kill what isn't in it's way as in a way everyone is in it's way. "Another element I wanted to put out there was this film could be the beginning of the resistance. Danny Dyson is introduced as a young adult carrying on his father's work(he doesn't know what happened in T2) and has taken Cyberdyne systems and teamed it up with OCP(who is well aware of this new threat as soon as it began, they want Murphy dead). " I like this, he could want to keep up his fathers legacy and could be one of the masterminds of Sky-net. Also the old man should be dead, the problem with two was they made him a dick, in the robocop series, perhaps the young black executive, I'm not being racist i don't remember his name, could be in charge and OCP is on its last legs and needs this to work and he has taken it on as a personal project? So in a way i like it, it needs some tweaking here and their, but its good. These are just my thoughts, i hope you developed the idea as it sounds really interesting, hope some of what I'm saying in this bump helps.
  18. She has only said she'd do it if Ridley Scott returned as Director and Ridley Scott is interested in James Cameron's script. ahem James cameron script???
  19. Please comment on what you think of this- Robocop a movie from the late 1980's that screams genius. The movie was the work of two writers Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner, and the work of a brilliant director/pervert Paul Venderhoeven. The movie spawned two sequels, which sucked and a shit load of TV shows whether they be cartoons, or live action series or feature length movies, all of these ranged from mediocre to poor. None of these movies reached the levels of the original. The terminator, it spawned two sequels terminator two judgement day, a movie that i thought was fantastic, and terminator three....lest leave that their. The franchise also spawned video games and the Sarah Connor Chronicle's. Film fans for years argued over who would win a fight between these icons of the eighties? Yes i class them as eighty's franchises as they were created in that era. the fans made their choices, the terminator would win as Murphy is just one man, also terminators have no prime directives, they can do what they want, as long as it helps with the main goal. Before this a comic was made to play this story out, but fans wanted to see Murphy versus the terminator. Fans had wanted to see Peter Weller, who is the only Robocop to me, and Schwarzenegger fighting it out. so these two franchises if they ever met on the big screen it would have been a fan boys wet dream. Oh boy what a wet dream it was! Robocop versus The Terminator was slated to be made in 1995, with a video game tie-in, but the movie fell apart when a director could not be found. However the game was already in production, goodbye movie hello video game. First the story, Robocop is used by sky-net as an example for a human computer interface, but something goes wrong and sky-net, the machine gains a mind of it's own. Sky-net, now saying "We must stop Robocop. What? John Who-nor?" so sky-net sends back some terminators and goes to sky-net and tries to stop the terminators who have came back to kill people and keep sky-net alive. Unfortunately sky-net knew robocop would save the humans and uses Murphy as the final piece of the sky-net puzzle and uses him to go online and pretty much cause judgement day. oops. Robocop is sent offline for about twenty years and is brought back online by the resistance, again nothing about John Connor is mentioned, and so Robocop goes for a final battle with the sky-net, which is now a big giant terminator skull. true that sounds like a terrible movie, but in a game in this era, story really didn't matter. Controls-All you do is go along from one side of the screen to other going up and down ladders and shooting everything in sight with your guns. It sounds very basic, but in reality the basics really are great. You can shoot either straight up, left, right or diagonally you really can shoot in any direction you choose. The controls are easy to get used to A-Changes between your guns which have unlimited ammo, B- shoots your gun, and C-jumps, though these can be changed in the options menu. Music-the music is very good and very punk and futuristic, well for the time. As a personal thing i always get a kick out of the woman's voice in the first level saying "Terminator" it always makes me laugh. Good things-the music is fun, and the controls are easy to get used to and the game keeps the violence of the movies, the human characters fall apart into blood, and although weird it really doesn't look out of place in the game. The weapons which I'll get to in a minute. It's always easy to get more lives. The callbacks such as ED-209 and robocop two making boss appearances, the energy you pick up is the mush from the first robocop movie, and the guards in OCP look like the negotiator from the first robocop movie, the terminator looks like Arnie in T2. The hostage saving, when you do this you get all your energy back. Theirs arrows so you never get lost. When you die, you start were you left off with a moments invincibility. If you die you lose a gun, but you can change guns if the one you were using was the one you needed and the other one was useless, or could be found later. Bad-This is a major gripe! When you touch a bad guy whether it be generic guard number seven or ED-209, you lose energy, what sucks about this is that when you face the bosses they walk up to you, so not only do you have to avoid the bullets, you have to avoid the bosses in small confined spaces because the bosses take up half the screen. The levels go from easy to incredibly easy to hard, to get the fuck off my TV for the final level. Where the hell did the red terminators come from!? The weapons really needed their own section here lets discuss the weapons: The gun-Robocops gun from the movies is the first weapon you have, and it is okay to face the first set of bad guys, but when you get further into the level you notice that you really need a better gun, enter. The missile launcher, this gun goes right for the enemy's close to you whether it be a robot or human, a good weapon and is use able but first chance you get trade up. The flamethrower is the second best gun it destroys bullets so when facing a boss now all you have to worry about is not touching the boss, and is essential for the later levels.Short range rocket launcher, this gun is useful and is fun but only works close range and for most of the game is useless. The grenade launcher is the best gun easily, this gun is my favourite as the grenades fly through the air you still control where they go and where you push on the d-pad and choose where they go. The grenade launcher is not just good for this reason, in fact i like this gun as it is the best to use on the bosses, i recommend this gun as it can take out the second hardest boss Kane as Robocop two, the grenade launcher can beat him in thirty seconds without you taking damage, that's a great help. Finally theirs the laser which kills the terminators in one shot sending them into oblivion. the bosses that are most recognisable are ED-209 and robocop 2, the others are terminators robots. The end boss is a giant Terminator skull, yes a giant skull.....theirs a joke their somewhere. The levels are varied and interesting, taking place in Detroit and the hellish future, the levels look nice and dreary, giving a nice feel of the movies. The game is hard, but hard in a good way, the movie has re-playability as it doesn't have the "fuck this piece of shit!" it made me say when i got a game over "well, one more go..." though the level settings can be set to hard, easy and normal. This is a great platformer from the era of platformers, and really shows how great both movies were and gives both movies a game they can be proud of, instead of either games that have been critically panned like robocop, or games that are too hard terminator. Robocop vs the terminator really finds the middle ground and really is a good game, i cannot give it a perfect score or even a nine out of ten, this movies gripes of touching the enemy and insane last boss fight really hurt it, so this game gets a seven out of ten. random bits: When you die, if you have a gun that you need like the grenade launcher and you have a crap gun like the short range rocket gun, you can switch to the crap gun you don't want, and lose that. When you die in the later levels or get a game over and have to continue in the last two levels specifically you have to work to find a gun and getting past the first set of turrets then good luck to you as it is near impossible. The terminators really do look like Arnie if Arnie was a sixteen bit game character. The woman in the first level saying terminator really is great! Robocop versus the terminator is available on game gear, nes, snes, sega master system and mega drive and emulator. I reviewed this on the mega drive. This game gets 7 out of 10. 20. For anyone who hasnt seen it yet, this takes place after edge runs down JR. http://youtube.com/watch?v=IDE8e9Q5FwI Also i agree with everyone else, if i had been asked monday afternoon if Punk would win the belt i would say he would be the first to lose with MITB! Kennedy doesnt count as edge still cashed in his briefcase and won.
  21. Read part of your review, i know i shouldn't make a snap judgement based on part of it. Anyway, you badmouthed the have i got a story for you segment the only gripe i had with this, once i thanked Jesus that the whole movie would not be made up of these kids story's. The part that i am talking about was when the girl says that batman ripped the guys head off, then the other kid says "Everyone knows batman doesn't kill" that right their made me scream fuck off. I mean, true I'm new to the mythos of batman outside of the cartoons as I've only been reading the comics for over a year, but true Batman doesn't kill, but the criminals should not know that in my opinion, also why the fuck do these kids know that batman doesn't kill if he's meant to be a shadowy figure????? I personally feel the story's took place one after the other and so were intertwined with each other, each story picking up moments later from the last. Also the bit at the end with the kid stopping the villain as batman is still new to crime fighting, he is not the super detective who as Ra's Al Ghul said in the first film "Needs to mind his surroundings" so this i let the film away with. I personally have a differing opinion of the movie, though the first time i watched it, i wasn't actually watching it i had at as background noise, i felt that it seemed short my exact quote was "Is that it!?" This movie was great for me and i thoroughly enjoyed it, but if you still feel that the film could be better then i suggest you rent it first. If you still want to hear a positive review of the movie, well then i guess i will have a go! We open with have i got a story for you, which is possibly the weakest story of the bunch, it brought back memory's of "Tales from the dark knight" from Gotham knights which James and Mike will cover in a few weeks on worlds finest podcast, on a side note if your a batman, superman or Dc fan and you don't listen to WFP then you sir/madam are missing out. Enough shilling. So have i got a story for you is the story of four friends in a skate park, one is waiting and the three other kids show up late, on a side note was it just me or did one of the kids look like one of the mutants from "The Dark Knight Returns"? So the kids show up and they tell each other they just had the craziest experience. each kid tells their experience Batman and like kids do, they embellish the story. The story's range from Batman as a shadowy figure who looks like Batman did in the story were he turned into a vampire, the books name escapes me at the moment, which is a good thing, i hated that tpb. So the first kid tells of batman as the shadowy figure, and how he shifts from space to space in front of his eyes, like batman can do, he is a trained martial artist. The kid then sees the villain escape and Batman chase him, which leads into story two. Story two is the girl of the groups story, and it tells of a man who looks like the villain who looks like the bad guy from the first story and how he flies about and takes a woman hostage and attempts to kill her by dropping her from a great height, but who should save her? Batman! or should i say a man-bat! yes the girl says that Batman is a living man bat, Batman and the villain fight, and then batman rips into the bad guys neck and eats his blood, like a vampire. erm what? yeah she ends with batman killing this man, and ripping his jugular, how nice. this is where my gripe kicks in where the others question the authenticity of her story, and say "everyone knows batman doesn't kill" again shadowy legend, not kids toy.....yet. The final kid tells the story of the bad guy robbing people from a tower, and who shows up to save the day...BATMAN!...or rather robot batman. yes the kid says batman is a robot, and the villain again gets away again. The kids argue over the true batman, when the villain appears and so does......BATMAN! for real this time. Batman takes on the bad guy and looks nothing like the the kids story's take on him. But the batman fights the villain, the villain puts off a smoke bomb. Batman is about to be stabbed in the back of the head when...thwack! the villain is knocked out by a skateboard by the fourth kid, who batman thanks and the story ends with "have i got a story for you!" oh good up until that last line. Second is crossfire, which is the story of two detectives who look like Yin and Bennett from the batman cartoon to me. anyway the story is of a land war between Falcone and the Russian. The cops are caught in the crossfire.... Are all these titles going to explain the plot???? Back to the plot, so the cops are going to be killed in the crossfire and who shows up batman, saves the day, technically. well a lot of bad guys die, but as their not named, you don't feel bad. next is field test were Bruce Wayne and Lucius fox are talking about a golf tournament, Lucius then shows Bruce a new device that means that bullets will be deflected from you and shot off to the side. Bruce takes it for a spin and meets falcone and the Russian again, shots are fired at batman and they are deflected, and a random boy is shot. Batman has a great line here "You take the slums, you take the docks, that's the arrangement till i get something on you..." Anyway back to the boy and batman, the boy is taken to the hospital by batman, i know I'm glossing over stuff, but this is not as in depth as it seems. Bruce talks to Lucius and tells him that the device works to well and he doesn't want to put others in danger. this proves that Lucius now knows about Bruce and batman. Next is in darkness dwells. here killer Kroc shows up and fights batman, and rips into his shoulder, Batman's. Batman then encounters the scarecrow, who looks quite creepy and fights him. if it seems like I'm being brief about this one it's because this is really all i want to say happens, the rest is either not important or i forgot it. Next is working through pain, this is the story that starts with batman being shot and calling for Alfred to help, much like he did in batman begins when he is gassed by scarecrow for the first time. while bleeding badly, Bruce remembers some training about blocking fear out. the training though brief gives a background of what Bruce has done for the past seven years in more detail and does not just lead you to believe Ra's Al Ghul is the only person who trained Bruce in this continuity, that was nice. This is a good and fun story. I liked the ending when Bruce realises he can not rely on the help of others anymore even Alfred, for this is his war, no one else's. Finally Dead-shot. dead-shot opens with a new montage of Bruce's parents dieing, which was nice but different from batman begins, which did not last as long in the shots, if my memory ids right about that, if not, I'm watching begins after i finished here and will edit. Dead-shot is a world famous assassin we are shown this by dead-shot shooting a man through a window, not just close up, but half a mile away and on a Ferris wheel, now that's evil. Dead-shot is then hired to take someone out in Gotham and so without wasting the plot, Batman fights him in a good, but all to short scene with a nice twist. Now the voice, Kevin Conroy is good as Bruce Wayne and his voice is different ever so slightly from the one used in the dcau, this voice is younger, and the Bruce Wayne voice is a lot better than the one employed in B:TAS, which seemed to cheery for my liking. His voice as batman is equally as good, i enjoyed it, he felt like batman just stating out and not the batman from the last time we saw him who was the worlds greatest detective. The suits, they were badmouthed, but i liked some of them, they were different and gave each story the feel like they were Bruce trying to find what worked best for him and made each story different. Now the Bruce Wayne changes, not so much. They made me feel that if i watched this and did not know who Bruce Wayne was, i would wonder "who the hell is this guy, wheres Bruce!?" The voices are as always good in my opinion, though dead-shot, i am partial to Michael Rosenbaums Kevin Spacey impersonation as the voice. Extras-Oh boy! lets begin with batman and me the bob Kane story! its a nice documentary which gives a background to the man who created, or co-created if you give the artist credit as well, Batman. Its a nice behind the scenes documentary in the man and his ego and was the highlight of the second disc for me, oh and if you buy this get the two disc version. The two disc has this and four episodes of Btas and Gotham knights-Over the edge i am the night and heart of ice and ironically Legends of the dark Knight. So the documentary is good and tells the story of how the 1966 got started and really makes you second guess your hatred of it, maybe even Mike will change his mind! A mirror for the bat is a documentary about the villains of batman and although short is very informative, i personally loved the piece on the riddler: "theirs this story that once riddler was once in a burning building, and he calls Gordon and says "Put batman on" Nigma then says help me batman I'm in a burning building! batman asks where and riddler says "I'm.....when two crows meet" he cant help even when dieing from wanting to one up batman" this story i found the funniest as I'm a riddler mark. The commentary is dull, though i can not say what its like all the way through as i fell asleep watching it, out of boredom. Bruce Timm who executive produced this and is now a commentary veteran is not here, make way for Kevin Conroy, Gregory Noveck and Denny O'Neil and although i cant speak for the rest of the commentary and will edit this when i get to see it fully, their was a lot of dead air. Come back to commentary Bruce Timm, all is forgiven! this is one of the times when i would like to hear about animation as i could not tell whether scenes were meant to be the ways they were, or if it was a mistake. Well that's it, this is my reply/review of Batman:Gotham Knight and i thoroughly enjoyed it, and it is deserving of an eight out of ten, not as epic as the new frontier, but still good. still not convinced? Then just rent the movie! either way watch this. Oh and theirs a dark knight trailer, its one of the first ones but it's nice to see it in a nice quality. Ah well, that's my more positive take on Batman: Gotham Knight, George W. is entitled to his opinion and I'm entitled to a rebuttal. P.s theirs a book on this movie as well. They really are cashing in. P.P.S Animatrix sucks.
  22. On Monday at the start of Raw Edge came out and started making fun of J.R being moved to his show and how he should see how great Edge is and such. Edge then clears J.R out of the ring and Batista comes out and beats the crap out of Edge and leaves and C.M Punk cashes in Money In The Bank. Punk hits the GTS on Edge and pins him to become the new worlds champion! Later that night JBL challenges C.M Punk to a world title match later that night, and punk wins again with the GTS. Punk is the worlds champion on raw and what does everyone think, I personally screamed yay as it was nice seeing a new guy holding the belt. Though it will be short lived and thankfully with HHH on smack-down now that means that Punk can at least have a good showing as champion on Raw, what does everyone else think about C/M Punks title win??
  23. Just watched it, and well is it just me or did the mask look plastic and flimsy. I know its meant to be a hockey mask but it looked like it would collapse if held the wrong way. I don't know why but after watching that footage i feel even less inclined to go and see this. While I'm talking about Friday the 13th the one with the guy who dresses as Jason to kill the kids is the WORST one, good god that was one of the worst twist in film history. Oh and the first one is great, any movie where Kevin bacon gets killed can do no wrong.
  24. Jesus, how did you not go insane with that, i lasted five minutes, and that included loading!
  25. Watched this yesterday and it was good, though the first one was better. the best bit was Good movie the futurama game extra with the cut scenes from the game were good, as i had never played the game it was fun and felt like an episode, and the other extras are OK. would've liked a documentary talking about how they came up with the idea but oh well. Good movie, and would recommend to futurama fans, it just doesn't have as many plot points as the first movie, or as deep.
