  1. ...It still made more money than any of us will ever see in our lives. It's sadly not a flop.
  2. It truly is the lesser of two evils.
  3. Wait, Tim Burton, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter in one movie? This is such an epic, one time only cast/director teamup!
  4. Dammit. Well, I love Scotty's work, too. But Lim is my hero.
  5. Because he's deformed and wants to cover up. Not hard.
  6. Jason hasn't died yet, so I can buy him running, but the traps are a bit much. He's Jason Voorhees, not Jigsaw.
  7. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
  8. As far as Ron Lim goes, I know he's not realistic, but he has a GREAT stylized look that he sticks with. He's an artist, not a portraitist.
  9. I'm not counting Joker, Freeze or Ra's since they're all superior to anything that BB came up with on it's own, but it's just not fair. Magma was my favorite. He's the what the Thing might have been, and everyone knows how much I love Ben Grimm. Least favorite was False Face. Ugh.
  10. I dunno, I like the poetry and imagery of the 2003 Hulk, but the weightless nature of Hulk and his movements always killed me. Norton's Hulk looked better, moved better and had better action sequences. Add in the fact that Ed Norton is roughly twelve times the actor Eric Bana is is, and you have much better movie. As far as Iron Man, I really believed in Norton's Hulk more than RDJ's Stark. I know that's practically blasphemy around here, but when I saw Stark, I saw Robert Downey Jr. mugging it up, when I saw Edward Norton, I saw Bruce Banner, I saw a tortured soul and I saw a man seeking redemption. Throw in a GREAT end sequence with Abomination and Tim Roth's very capable Blonsky, opposed to Obidiah Stane being evil just because he is, and I really think you have a better movie. Hulk was geared more toward fans of the character, where Iron Man HAD to introduce people to the character.
  11. Saying Alex Ross in this thread is just unfair, Hames. Ron Lim, btw:
  12. I'm going to right ahead and disagree with you there. The tank battle? The chopper battle? The escape from the facility? All of these were magic. Yes the fucking dogs were shit and the giant mucus mushroom cload at the end sucked but I really dug all the Hulk vs Military stuff. I actually dug that in the second one too, Hulk on a rampage is the best thing about these films. I may be getting this wrong as it's all off the top of my head, but the first action scene in a Hulk movie came 50 minutes into the film. Even if you're trying to argue the origins/set-up aspect, Batman Begins had a fight 5 minutes into the film. The escape from the facility isn't really that memorable and whilst I did actually like parts of the chopper battle, those helicopters must be adamantium lined given how they refused to explode. Hulk vs Military was done MUCH better in Incredible Hulk. And don't forget Hulk kicking Blonsky into the tree. Fuck, I still love that.
  13. Do I count as staff now? Pls? I'll write real stuff, I promise.

    Randomness

Robin's freakishly hot legs are the most disturbing part of that picture.
  15. One would generally concur.
  16. ...Incredible Hulk was better than Iron Man.
  17. Now that's just a damned lie.
  18. It might be up your alley, Yoda. It's just... not my deal. The character of Black is actually kind of cool, but he often comes off as a sort of Magneto light, what with Nazis killing his sister(?).
  19. Except 300 captured the feel of Miller's graphic novel pretty much perfectly. And Dawn of the Dead was one of the few good remakes.
  20. I dunno, how hard is it to have a kid look pensive at R's journal and then cut to the credits?
  21. I'm more upset by the New Frontiersmen bit being out.
  22. So it's getting to the point where my fifteen year old brother can *almost* kick my ass. Very shortly, I'm going to be paid back for years of brotherly torment in spades. Fuck.
  23. Favorite single issue is The Thing #1 under the "Startling Stories" label, it's Ben telling this rookie Army kid three stories from his life, before he has to go toe to toe with the Hulk. The last issue of Cable and Deadpool is up there, too. As far as trades? The Killing Joke, Watchmen and Kingdom Come, obviously, but some more obscure stuff too, like Hellboy: Conqueror Worm and BPRD: Killing Ground.
  24. So, Shaun (of the Dead), Sylar, and Harold (Without Kumar) get on a spaceship...
