  1. And with that quote I will make a point to begin watching the series ASAP. That said this is a very bold claim to make in a world where Legend of Korra exists. (Not that it will have to be THE BEST to make it worth watching)

I will still say Rookie of the Year was the greatest Sports movie of the 90s, the original Mighty Ducks being a close second.

Congrats to the Nelson's. Think of it this way, I was 3 weeks early and I was pretty awesome, so that must make Ben like more than twice as much awesomer.

Fuck the Schoolbus, we got Goosebumps to rewatch now....man it's horrible.
  6. Happy Birthday Mr. Wilson!!
  7. Finished RahXephon. Pretty fucking heavy stuff towards the end. Can be confusing as hell but once you wrap your head around it it's great. Now on to Deadman Wonderland. Mainly got into it because Greg Ayres would not stop pimping it on his Facebook. Last time he pimped out a show of his this much it was BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad so yeah, hoping that it works out even a fraction as well as that. One episode in and it's kind of reminding me of Gantz. Very violent, very profane, so right up Greg's alley. Monica Rial also killing it as a crazy bitch, which is weird after seeing her as a pitched down (for her), serious character in RahXephon. Also still weird to hear Aaron Dismuke post-puberty.

    Kellen's 25!

For years and years at The Oratory and E-2, Kell was the baby. He's just growing up so fast. Indeed. When this site launched, Kellen was only 16. And I was writing for it too Yeah the fact that I can't cling to "early 20s" anymore is a little frightening. thanks for the wishes everyone. One last thing to wrap up the thread on, not only have I been here since 16, but if we go back to the Oratory I've known some of you since I was 14. Sweet God.
  9. Damnit I just might need to jump on that. Many a night was spent watching that on YTV.
  10. I will be watching Star-Crossed if only because I'll watch pretty much anything with Brina Palencia in it (no clue if she'll be just a one-off, or a recurring or what, but she's in a good chunk of the trailer, so here's hoping for her.)

  12. Thenews I'm taking away from this is it'll be a good time to pick up an XBox 360.
  13. Suuuuuper Bump. Decided to throw in RahXephon. First time watching it since I was in high school. It's still a touch on the ridiculously confusing side and it borrowed more than a couple ideas from Evangelion, but it's a very enjoyable show. Just don't try to background watch it (as I have a habit of doing).
  14. Looking forward to this. My main question is why would you consider doing this?

So here's a fun story I just found out about. One of my co-workers in my department is a big fan of Nickelback (we bug her about it plenty). She's also a cousin of LA Kings forward Dustin Penner (a fact she does not shy away from considering he won the Stanley Cup last year). Here's Dustin Penner's tweet after Jason Collins came out as gay:
  16. It was a 10 man tag in Dallas: Rock/Sock, Too Cool and Rikishi vs HHH/XPac/Saturn/Malenko/Benoit
  17. Prof, one problem with your theory
  18. I think this weekend's episode may be the corner from where it turns from fun show to absolutely fantastic show. The whole plot with Kirai tracking down April and that fight in the alley was fucking awesome.
  19. This was spectacular and I will be keeping an eye out for all future episodes.
  20. Man I wish I was there to see that.
  21. Ok, so tickets for UFC here in Winnipeg went on sale this past Thursday. Previously I had spoken with both my brothers if they had wanted to attend. My youngest brother Brett stated unequiviqually that he wanted to go as did his friend Braedon. My other brother Nolan gave a very wishy-washy, "sure" kind of response. The day before tickets went on sale I called Brett and went over with him who we were buying for (he was using his card, I was buying on the Ticketmaster website). He had stated we needed 3, for myself, him and Braedon. I bought the tickets minutes after the sale started. Today is when I get a text from Nolan asking if we got the tickets. I told him no, because he never confirmed with me or Brett. He is unhappy, he then decided to bring my Dad into it and now he's sending me angry texts, threatening to withhold Jets playoff tickets. This is aggravating to say the least.
  22. Happy Birthday felow Canadian.
