    Hey, Erin!

Technically Redoubt is 100 miles from Anchorage by road. It is 60 actual miles from Anchorage. On a clear day I can see it across the inlet. I am looking at it now and it is huffing and puffing. It looks like it is going to erupt any day now. I'll keep you all posted with developments.

    Hey, Erin!

As soon as it's safe to go out, I will take pictures. I would like to point out though that Alaska volcanoes are not like Hawaii volcanoes that ooze lava. Alaska volcanoes spurt ash and rock. So there is very little danger of me melting.

    Hey, Erin!

Redoubt is about 100 miles from Anchorage on the Aleutian Mountain Range. The absolute worst that will happen is Anchorage getting covered in ash and we're ready for it. Thanks for all of your concern guys. If it does erupt, I will keep you posted about what is going on.
  4. If you get called into work on Friday, there will be some major ass-kicking being done by me. On a personal note, I have a fuck off migraine. I'd rather be in bed, but I have to take a test today, so I have to go to class. On the other hand, I am not going to work today.
  5. If she don't find you handsome, she'll at least find you handy (Hopes someone other than Des gets it) Red Green is my hero. Red Green is everbody's hero. We fix everything with duct tape: shoes, car windows, national security, the economy. The world revolves around duct tape. It's even been compared to The Force: it has a light side and a dark side and it binds the universe together.
  6. So I was watching The Disney Channel and a commercial came on for their Disney XD lineup. One of the cartoons featured was Static Shock. Well I just about plotzed. I jumped on the web and googled it. Sure enough, on his blog, Dwayne McDuffie was promoting it. It will air in sometime February (less than a month away). Check your TV guides, folks.
  7. Dubs, don't sell yourself short. Talk to her. Maybe she might find you attractive too. Just be honest and open with her and you might be surprised.
  8. That's great to hear Dubs. Wonderful relationships can blossom on the Internet (I am speaking from experience). In fact 25% of couples today meet through the Internet.
  9. I Love Female Orgasm: An Extraordinary Orgasm Guide by Dorian Solot and Marshall Miller. (Yes it is a real book).

  12. It's good to find a place where I can get the help I need...not that I need help.
  13. Facebook is addictive. Maybe we should start a support group... Hi, my name is Erin and I'm addicted to Facebook.
  14. I'm on. You can find me through Mike or James.
  15. Okay Mike, you put out the call and here is my response. In my high school, as James mentioned on the show, we had to do a family planning project that involved baby dolls with computer chips in them. We had the choice of being single parents or finding a partner to share the work. Being very shy in high school, I chose to go it alone. Now I did not have the added duty of clearing the streets of crime in my city, I still found it hard to take care of the baby, on top of doing my homework, housework, and anything else I had to do. When I started the assignment, I knew that I did not want a baby at that time and by the end of it, I was positive I did not want a baby at that time. There was so much I wanted to do before I settled down with a family. Many of my classmates felt the same after that assignment. The school introduced the program after a study showed that the number of pregnant teenage girls in our school district had gone up drastically. The district wanted to show students how difficult life would be to have a baby while still being a teenager. By the time I graduated, the program was still in affect and the number of pregnant girls in high schools had gone down district wide. By the way, in case anyone was wondering, I got an A for the assignment. Great show all the same guys!
  16. Best wishes on your birthday! Happy Birthday James! Happy Birthday El Misterio!

    Best of 2008

We were wondering when you'd show up. It's about time he showed up. Some how I knew when I posted, Dubs was not far away.

    Best of 2008

That epic AIM conversation was the best of anything this year. It surpassed movies, video games, TV, comics, etc. I have never been so happy in my life. I can already predict the best moment of 2009: Finally seeing James for the first time when he gets off the plane. Happy New Year everyone!
  19. Venneh, I think your family is way out of line. Your religious views are just that: yours. If they have a problem with it, they need to take another look at their own doctrines. I'm not a religious person, but I don't recall their being anything in the religious doctrine saying we should fight amongst ourselves. I do not recall anything that says you must follow this doctrine and only this doctrine. The fundamentals of any given doctrine preach peace and harmony, not fighting and chaos. I don't remember Jesus saying "To love thy brother, but only if they follow this particular branch of Christianity." Ultimately it is people who corrupt a religion by saying that the way they do things is right and this other way is wrong. Religion should and ought to be whatever brings you closer to whatever higher power you personally believe. My advice is to tell your family calmly and understandingly that it is your decision and they need to respect whatever decision you make. There is a quote from Buddha that I feel sums up how I feel about this: hate is not conquered by hat: hate is conquered by love. This is a law eternal. Okay, now I will get off my soapbox. I hope things get better for you very soon, Venneh.
  20. Just got back from Grandma's so I'm done with all my Christmases. My total haul: -The Dark Knight -The Superman Theatrical Serials from the 40's and 50's. -Socks -$75 worth of Amazon gift cards. -$30 worth of Best Buy cards. -$25 worth of iTunes cards. -Cash (which is just as good as money) -Some out of print, hard to find books. -A stereo -Some pj's that are far too large for me (I wear a small, but Gran had it her head that I wear a large, which is really weird because I weigh all of 112lbs. But that's my Gran for you). But the best present of all came from my incredible sweet boyfriend: a heart shaped necklace with sapphires. He is the greatest boyfriend in the history of ever! Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year!
