Good review. I didn't play much of Manhunt at all, but I can tell you that what I did play- I positively hated. Poorly implemented stealth and a pathetic amount of revelling in how violent it is. Don't get me wrong, I love violence, and I love revelling, but this was too crass for me. No, shall we say, class with it's actions. GTA violence- classy. Manhunt violence- sad. That said, following the UK press and it's attack on Manhunt following a dumb murder, I side fully with Manhunt. It was tasteless, yes, but it wasn't evil. That aside, I liked Manhunt's theme and the violence, had it been handled less obviously, would've been really enjoyable. The gameplay for me, however, really wasn't enjoyable. I sent it back soon after purchase. Still, I enjoyed the read, matey.

I've got a chipped PS1 around here somewhere, I should pick Silent Hill up on import. Are you going to review the others too? I noticed you've got Silent Hill 2 listed as your favourite, are you one of the rare ones, like myself, who decided that 2 was better than the others? I've reviewed all the games in the series myself on PW, easily my second favourite game series of all time and the best survival horror series, bar none. Anyway, there can never be too many Silent Hill fans. And I'm glad to be aboard, A. Already I'm seeing some fondly remembered Oratory guys. Coolness.

Funnily enough, I was never really into games, mostly because I'm a somewhat below-average player. I had a Megadrive which was neato, and we had a NES, which I think, ironically, came after. In my early years I was addicted to the Commadore 64, games like Dizzy and the like providing me with hours of entertainment. I picked up a PS2 as a casual thing about two years ago, just because I wanted a DVD player and wouldn't mind the occasional game. It wasn't until I played Dynasty Warriros 3 that I really got interested. Basically, the game company Koei got me hooked with their action and strategy games and I've been playing ever since.

Gotta go for the Robin Hood world. Simply one of Disney's best works. Jungle Book wouldn't go amiss either.

Luigi is the green machine. Tails is a frigging mutant freak. Mother nature did not intend for foxes to have two tails, which means Tails will probably get some sort of horrendous tumour and die a weak, shrivelled mistake. Luigi will still rule.

Cool review. Anything that promotes the goodness of Silent Hill is okay in my book, though I don't agree with you on the monster design, I freakin' hated that crap. Far too random for the theme of the game, although the PAL version I have neutered the design a little, so I know I've missed one or two decent creatures from my version.
