  1. It's been years since I've picked up an Archie book (Not counting Free Comic Book Day) but some how I don't think the marriage will stick. I'm guessing dream sequence. -Skyler
  2. With most books I will get the single issues, Green Arrow excluded for a reason I'm not sure about, but every so often I may miss something I deem important like how I'm waiting on 'Whatever Happened to The Caped Crusader' after I missed the first half. Most of the time Trades are for the things I could not get as singles that may be of a certain age or rarity. -Skyler
  3. My, my I forgot all about this thread, well I may as well say it anyway... I jumped about from about three comic shops and ended up getting... The Avengers Blackest Night #0 Bongo Comics Free-For-All! Disney/Pixar's Cars Star Wars: The Clone Wars/Dark Horse Favs Transformers Animated/G.I. Joe DC Kids Mega Sampler Owly And Friends Sonic The Hedgehog: Evolution Of A Hero TMNT #1 25th Anniversary Reprint So that's almost everything I wanted other than Wolverine and more as well. Some were utter disappointments and others were just a 'whatever, it's free' pick up but Blackest Night, Clone Wars, and TMNT were wonderful books and worth the running around. -Skyler
  4. That sir, is simply awesome! -Skyler
  5. These are quite nice. You always do pick the best clips (or have for WFP in the past anyway). Good job, man! Oh, and this confirms that I've seen Adham on the BBC website...why were his attempts to set a world record (I believe) documented by THEM?
  6. I've just listened to the first half hour (as I have yet to finish Octopussy) but must say... -Happy anniversary to you! -Congrats on the Main page award -I meant you did not mention that Jane Seymour played Solitaire not that you forgot her as a plot point. -Alan Partridge's voice DID ring a bell which makes alot more sense seening as it was Steve Coogan. I truly must seek out this series, now. -I consider that rap as almost a gift. 'who like to drink tea' was the bit that REALLY got me. Thank you. -Skyler
  7. Mike, I never watched them back when in 2002 but in Season 3 this was the reason why the story was kind of all over the place... . Seems like they were trying to pull a 'Death in The Family' without knowing were they were going. Also Harley Quinn Smith was born in 1999 and the GG episode with Baby Harley was released in 2001.
  8. To many he was the owner of a mystical, magical resort, to geeks he was Khan, to Comedy fans he was Vincent Ludwig, and to kids he was Señor Senior Sr. or the Grandpa in Spy Kids but what ever the role but it ludicrous or fantastic the man always had class. Do you see the plane now, Boss? RIP
  9. This is simply beyond words! Drinks all around! :urock:
  10. I'm almost late but Happy Birthday to the both of you.
  11. At the time...no but some may not like things like.... . .....Which out of context of history is pretty bad but there are lots of other silly things about Looney Tunes parents don't like. For some time Speedy Gonzales was pulled from Cartoon Network when somebody said he was a negative stereotype. After sometime he was allowed back when The League of United Latin American Citizens argued that Speedy a positive depiction of Mexicans and that no Mexicans had complained in the past. This lead to a line in Looney Tunes: Back in Action. Porky Pig: First they tell me to lose the stutter, then they tell me I'm not funny! *sighs* It's a pain in the butt to be politically correct. Speedy: Your telling me.. I also I recall a case, right here in Canada about how a woman wanted a Bugs Bunny cartoon pulled and an apology because Witch Hazel turned herself into a hot rabbit, Bugs got all over her, and walked off with her after turning to the camera and saying '"Ah sure, I know! But aren’t they all witches on the inside?' http://www.cbsc.ca/english/decisions/1998/980203a.php See? With those and the normal 'This is too violent' argument, people are REALLY up tight.
  12. Sorry I missed it but Happy Birthday, anyway.

  14. I kind of wish at times that were the case here in North America. It's a great movie (and I'm very glad that though my mother hates it they finally got me a copy this year) but it's not the greatest. It's like the Nightmare Before Christmas of adulthood, great but still overrated. I may post other things I got but for now I'm just going to see what I DO have (I'm 17 and still get a rather large load...hmm...haul?). One thing I was really excited about was the 007 boxed set with all 21 EON films that are on DVD. This means I can really listen to For Your Ears Only properly..... and my sister now has her own copy of Casino Royale (Thanks to that being the only one I had before and yet still in the boxed set)! Hooray!
  15. Hmmm.... I saw full boxed sets from them in Wal-Mart $6.88 bins last month. Guess that may have been a pretty bad sign for BCI.
  16. No thanks. I may regret it but currently I have no idea what I'd put for my turn in the calender and if I'd even remember.
  17. Same ground rules as anywhere on earth-2.net. Try to post stuff suitable for our younger members, don't make the mistake I did in that birthday thread. Perhaps I'm not on earth-2 enough but... what mistake DID you make?
  18. I assume you missed the mid-credits scene then as well. Most with that opinion of the film's closing did not see the apparent real last scene. If this is the case, I wish I could tell you what happened but I too left too early.
  19. One of the first forums I ever join if THE first was a Disney one. I picked THAT because the first sculpture I got from Walt Disney Classics Collection was of Jiminy Cricket...and I was born in '91. Nothing too interesting.
  20. Thanks everyone. I did not see this until today, because yesterday after school I had play practice then I went out. This was a grand surprise to see a thread all about me ...and Bob The Goon. It really was a great Birthday. Side note: I can't go on Earth-2 at school because it's blocked for a gambling reason....god knowth why. I thought It was kinda funny.
  21. I enjoyed the film quite a bit but I thought it was missing something. I'm not sure what but something. For just one good thing and one bad thing... I liked how the film ended (I really liked how it was shot and just the bitter yet inviting cold/snow) but wanted more of this Strawberry Fields girl although I should have expected the amount given. 7/10 seems about right for it but it may be something I re-score after seeing it again (I just reminded myself of WFP ) and perhaps go into more detail on my thoughts.
  22. Seems a lot have been canned more or less, already... I found this list of shows.... Boston Legal On ABC after 5 seasons will end December 8th. Do Not Disturb On Fox has been canceled. Five episodes have aired and it is not likely to return for the other 8 originally ordered. Easy Money On The CW. Currently still airing episodes but in a random mixed up order. The Ex-List on CBS. Four episodes have aired and it is not likely to return for the other 8 originally ordered. King Of The Hill on Fox. After the full end of it's 13th season on Fox it may have new life on ABC. Moral Orel on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim will end November 17th. Valentine On The CW. Currently still airing episodes but in a random mixed up order. None of these really gets to me but Boston Legal which I'm about half a season behind on anyway.
  23. Now Ian, let's be fair, I never said I hate Returns. I may even say I like it more than '89 which I don't hate either. It's just there is so much wrong with both that I think of them as average films and not good or great ones. Mike on the other hand I'm sure DOES have full hatred of the film.
  24. Damn. Nightwing was my first proper comic and is THE monthly book I always get. I wish there was a way to keep it going but I've been hearing cancellation rumors since I started to pick up the book about 2 years ago. Robin and BOP are not an issue for me as I don't read them.
