  1. Out of interest, do you mean to say that Bond films of late (say, from the 90s onwards) have sucked and you don't watch the Craig films as a result, or that you hated Casino Royale so much that you won't see the current film? Am not calling you right or wrong - just curious to see what you mean. I mean that the Craig film, Casino Royale was badly done from bringing a blonde Bond in to having Judi (y?) Dench still playing M. If they were going to go back to the beginning M should be a man...Brosnan was the best Bond IMHO. The casting of Judi Dench as M in a new Bond continuity is admittedly somewhat counter-productive to casual Bond fans, but in that the film series is notoriously wretched at sticking to much of a continuity, I can pretty much accept it. The points Adham & I made in this episode about Blofeld not recognising Bond is pretty much a perfect example of this. In any case, I certainly disagree that M has to be a man if the film is focusing on the beginnings of the character It'd make more sense if they were to do it like Doctor Who, but since they can't they burn a lot of Bond Fans by not explaining why they decided to go back to the beginning and just think that we are going to say, "oh another Bond film and he's blonde, and we don't know why we're back in the cold war, okay! Humper, dumper, do..."
  2. Either that or he's just tetched in the head.

  4. Now there's an idea for the Earth-2 family. Much like WFP and Watchercast, an episode by episode recap of the Doctor Who series starting with the classics. William Hartnell. I'd love my own podcast, but being able to find all these classic shows would be a B*tch.
  5. I'm sorry, I love the new films, really I do. I just have to say this. I like the Dark Knight as much as the next guy, but to have Batman without having at least Robin and/or Batgirl is like ham without cheese. Having either Robin or Batgirl around keeps Bruce/Batman anchored in humanity rather than go completely I am the Night in the movies. Also, how many die-hard fans of Batman would be lost if Robin didn't join him eventually? Thoughts?
  6. How's your head, LOL! Anyway, I'm right there with you guys on every point. I put this on to laugh at. If it hadn't brought about the new DCAU, I'd never still have it in my collection.
  7. I never liked any of the Saw movies just by watching their trailers. I liked the Scream franchise, but these are so stupid. Also, all hail Jenny, the sexiest voice in podcasts since the Lipstick Aliens!!!!!
  8. Personally, I liked Lazenby's Bond and wished he had done more. He should have been next in the Bond series before Moore, but that's MHO. Anyway, I have stopped watching any Bond films since Craig took over. Those movies suck.
  9. Hey Ian, thanks to you roasting James and Mike everytime they've finished a series on WFP, you've got a new fan and an old James Bond freak. Keep it shaken, not stirred!

    Doctor Who/Batman

I'm a big fan of Doctor Who both classic and new series, and I've noticed a few similarities between the Doctor and the Dark Knight Detective 1) Both are loners 2) Both have companions or partners they don't want because their job is dangerous 3) Both have traumatic experiences that drive their lives 4) They're afraid to fall in love because of their dangerous lives If not for the fact that the Doctor has a sense of humor, I think the Doctor and Batman would get along famously.
  12. Actually, I was thinking that I'm playing the Joker who makes his own reviews of BTAS.

    James and Mike

Hey Mike and James, the dynamic duo, I just came up with a segment idea or new podcast called The Joker's Corner. What do you think?
  14. Okay, let's put some new life into this. To Selina, I do agree that Catwoman can change, and in the PDCU she has, but Bruce pushes her away. I still think that the shock of Batman being one of the guys she would generally rob would throw her for a loop emotionally. "I'm in love with this guy who in reality is a rich pretty boy." That's probably what runs through her mind at times. She robs rich pretty boys. That's why I say she's like Black Cat in Spider-man. "This strong sexy superhero is a geek???" Just my two cents. Ciao meow!
  15. All Roleplaying aside, I would love to see my beloved Kimberley to be one of the superheroines and me as the big bad villan one night.
  16. That may be true, but since James and Mike say it is, it must be so, so sit back and enjoy the ride.

    Is it wrong...?

Nope, but I'd rather my baby dress like Batgirl personally.
  18. Um, hate to burst you Teen Titan haters, but it's very much in continuity. Pick up a post Dick Grayson as Robin comic book some time people. Sheesh!!!! Dick (Robin) joined TT after he split from Batman. After he split from Batman! Hence, the cartoon is in continuity. Not to quote the Buffy-verse, but "add it all together and it spells 'DUH'!"
  19. FOURSOME ANYONE: Bruce/Bats, Selina, Talia and Wonder Woman  I f'ing love it. Throw my beloved gf Harley in there and we'll have a grand ol' time  LOL
  20. Oh come on, if us pasty faced lunatics with permanent smiles can't be concerned with Batsy's love life, what fun can we have except making sure some guy dies with a laugh on his lips.
  21. Um, I think Talia has betrayed her father, hell even changed her name. I think in the graphic novel "President Luthor" Talia has changed her last name to Head and is trying to stay ahead of her father. I hope I'm right in the fact she betrayed her father for a good reason, like as a good faith thing for Bruce.
  22. Thanks for all the posts and I do agree that Selina is more accessable, but you also got to think that Selina is an unrepentant criminal while Talia is capable of turning on her father for the man she loves. How many times have we seen Selina actually repent and go straight? I mean yes they were engaged in "Perchance to Dream", but in the long run it would never work. Batman and Catwoman are too much alike and on other sides of the coin.
  23. I am a fan of WFP (obviously) and I am disturbed by the fact that one of you call Talia Al'gul the "bitch" Al'gul. Granted we are all entitled to our opinions, case in point the back and forth our own dynamic duo of Mike and James. Anyway, while Selina can match Bats in fighting and the cat & mouse sexual attraction, I feel that in the long run Talia would be better for Bruce. Let's mix Marvel and DC for a minute...Selina is like Felicia Hardy in Spider-man. She loves Spider-man, but not the Peter Parker persona. That's the feeling I get with Selina and Bruce. She loves his dark alter-ego, but only tolerates the Bruce Wayne persona. Talia is like Mary Jane in Spider-man. While she knows Peter is Spider-man, she loves both and supports him. While I don't see Talia as being the type to sit home and bake cokkies when her man is fighting the good fight, she would help and support him in any way she can. There is also the fact that if you have Talia as your wife, you have the entire Leauge of Shadows at your command. Batman, Robin and Batgirl wouldn't have to do it all alone. That's why in "Demon's Quest" I wanted to take Batman aside and talk some sense into him..."YOU'RE TURNING DOWN ONE OF THE SEXIEST WOMEN ON THE PLANET WHO LOVES YOU IN ALL YOUR FORMS, GIVE ME A (enter colorful explative here)BREAK." Any thoughts, for, against, tell me to shut up etc...?
