  1. Best of Spider-Man Vol. 4 HC - Started out nice with two real self-contained issues that were enjoyable. However, I did not care for any of the Book of Ezekiel story at all. And I HATED the Sins Past storyline and what that did to the Peter/Gwen relationship. Comic Books: 0 TPBs: 1 Graphic Novels: 0
  2. Saw it tonight and I will say that it was better than I expected. I did actually enjoy the film well enough to the point I might watch it agian when it comes out on DVD.
  3. The owner of my local comic shop has always been nice when this has happened to me and let me exchange it, without a receipt even. You might as well ask, as the worst they can say is no.
  4. I will add the episode where Will gets shot and Carlton gets a gun. Others: Homeward Bound - Shadow falling down the hole and not able to make it up always does it. The Buffy Episode Fool For Love. When Buffy repeats the words "You're Beneath Me", I just feel so bad for Spike. MASH - When Henry's helicopter gets shot down. Can't think of others at the moment but I know I am forgetting some.
  5. Not saying it is the best, but I thought I'd bring up Robin vs. Slade in the episode Haunted. Granted not really Slade but still very brutal.
  6. Great show guys. I am glad to hear that you both enjoyed the Justice League trade so much as I have been thinking about getting it for a little while now. And Mike, I have to ask again, what is the music this week?
  7. So, I'm house sitting for my folks and I come across a nice little Spider-Man marathon. It did not hold up well for me at all. The animation is questionable at best with blatant recycled sences. The characters are all either bi-polar or poorly written. Spider-Man is emo most of the time. I saw an episode of X-Men yesterday and the same rings true there. Cyclops was emo. The animation was piss poor. Storm, Cyclops and Corsair make an escape in a plane. They land and it get blown the fuck up. Too bad it was not the same ship they took off in. I remember loving these shows (X-Men moreso) growing up, but damn, they did not hold up well at all.
  8. Venom and Carnage of the real Earth hitched a ride with John Jameson to Counter Earth. This is why Spidey decides to leave Earth and a non-suck-in-portal Mary Jane. Wiki ( ) says that the series are connected. but not once did anything in that series point to it being so. DCAUFan: Spider Wars is only a two part episode, so I do not know where you are getting a part 3.
  9. Just played this game and it was fun swinging the wiimote around like crazy. Much fun beating my friends in the 4x100 swimming relay. Damn that thing is quite tiring.
  10. So, take out Rachael and the love interest. So the movie losses one character and one plot line. By furthering the training scenes you kinda add in a plot line. However, Bruce need to be trained in many different areas and by many different people. These trainers would be adding in characters that would get crammed in and not get any sense of development. It would almost go into a training montage area that no one would like. Bottom line question here is how long do you want this movie to be? I see no way you can add in all the training and not get to a 3+ hour movie.
  11. If one really wanted to, you could make several Bruce Wayne movies. There is so much material that can be used from the pre-Batman Bruce Wayne timeline. It is impossible to show all of that in one movie and still have time for Batman, villains and the like. I thought Batman Begins did a good job of showing enough of Bruce's training.
  12. I miss the fun crap. I stopped watching after the season finale were everyone may or may not be dead, except Clark of course. First couple of seasons were fun in spite of Lana, but then it just went to shit.
  13. I don't know who the richest person living in my city is. But Bruce is much more than that. He is a freakin' billionaire. He should be at least on a Bill Gates level of known.
  14. Love the new segment. But I have to ask, what in the hell is the music played in this episode?
  15. So, I got bored and thought, hey I can go get some Bond films and then listen to that podcast about said films. I've only seen the most recent Craig film and was told that I needed to watch some Connery. This happened like a month ago, the movies have been sitting by the tv. The library wants them back tomorrow so I thought what the heck? I don't know how I feel about this movie. I like the old school spy stuff that Bond does, and I love the Quarrel character. But I really wasn't all that fond of Dr. No himself. Plus, Honey was really annoying to me. The dragon should have killed her instead of Quarrel damn it. I think I rate the movie a 5, just kinda there. Loved the podcast though.
  16. So I have been thinking about this and I do not know if a live action movie is a great idea. Don't get me wrong, I adore the 3 live action movies, but I do not think that one could be pulled off today and look anything but fake. I am leaning toward just wanting another CGI movie as TMNT really surpassed my expectations.
  17. The version that I found at my local library has a director's commentary.
  18. So, I had to wait until I could find/watch the movie before I listened to this episode. The movie is so 80s and so awesomely cheesy. The movie made me laugh so many times. I loved every minute and Sho'nuff is like seventeen different kinds of awesome. I do have to admit that when he first appears I was so getting a Booker T vibe. Nice to hear that I am not alone in that. Plus a big wtf moment when William H. Macy shows up. Really random. I also loved the Johnny character; the idiot sidekick was pulled off really well.
  19. The long hair & beard options are lacking. But close enough I guess.
  20. As for the Two-Face suit, I just got back from seeing the movie and I thought it was intended to be the melted flesh from his face. The only part of the suit that really looked different was on the shoulder of the one side, not the entire suit. So Harvey wearing a melted flesh jacket is my theory.
  21. Saw the movie on opening night. Have been thinking about it and come to the conclusion that it was a pretty good movie. However, the first movie is superior in my opinion. The Golden Army was great in the expanding of the universe, but I feel like it just lacked something. I just cannot say what that might be.
  22. Two things. First, in response to an email you guys received. The emailer asked why they never did Two-Face over in The Batman cartoon. I know I heard this somewhere, possibly an earlier episode of WFP, that they basically did Two-Face when the Joker turn Ethan into Clayface. Again, I know not where I remember hearing this from, but it makes sense. Second is about Over the Edge. We see how Batman acts when Batgirl is killed. I am just curious as to how Batman reacted when the Joker killed Jason Todd.
  23. In Joker's Millions, I was under the impression that the big guy dressed as Harley Quinn was in fact Paul Dini. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
  24. During the episode Mike was trying to figure out were Dick got his money from. He does have a trust fund, but he stated that the money he is using came from an insurance settlement regarding his parents death. I believe this comes straight from Old Wounds.
