  1. It's definitely a "bluish" navy-gray, but it is really muted compared to the red. I remember hearing various costume designers talk about red and blue in regards to live-action superhero costumes. The general idea is that you want to have either red or blue be vibrant, but not both, otherwise you end up in more cheesy territory like the Reeve Superman films or most of the Spider-Man films. That's why the Superman Returns suit has a vibrant blue but a downplayed red, and the Man of Steel suit has a vibrant red but a downplayed blue. In Arrow, something like this makes more sense.
  2. If it's true that it'll actually show the transition from Robin to Nightwing, I am so unbelievably in.
  3. It's like... well, it doesn't have the lighter feel of the comics' FF, but the first two movies did have that lighter feel and they were pretty awful. This at least looks well-made for what it is. I'm definitely more looking forward to it now.
  4. If Marvel holds the TV rights to X-Men, then could Marvel do live-action X-Men on TV instead? Or is that too much of a gray area? I only wonder because if they can put Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch into both universes, then maybe there's wiggle room.
  5. This, yes, absolutely. The first arc is great; the second arc is abominable (and borderline-offensive). The second season (they just retitled the show Sword Art Online II) has been pretty good, so yeah, definitely give that a watch.
  6. So now that both Flash and Supergirl have cast actors from Glee, can we have the Supergirl and Flash vs The Music Meister crossover we've all been waiting for?
  7. So, basically, at the end of it all nothing is changing other than Miles Morales jumping ship over to the MCU before his universe explodes. Gotcha.
  8. Hey, she was nice in Enchanted. She married James Marsden, finally ending his curse of being cockblocked in movies.
  9. This, yes. It's easy to hate something that's loved. There's just no way to escape the hype around it. I mean, how many legitimately crappy B-movies do we sit here and say are awesome, then we turn around and say something like Frozen is terrible? IMO, Frozen is a really good kids musical, albeit not masterful. I like it just fine, especially the characters, but it's not nearly as enjoyable to me as Tangled was.
  10. I was legitimately going to make a "just the books" edit myself after the blu-rays came out. This one's lower-quality, so maybe I still will. It's cool, though. I may give it a watch.
  11. Yeah, TWS confirmed that Hydra killed the Starks, but we still don't 100% know if Bucky was the actual assassin. But it seems too likely to not be the case.
  12. Okay, big MCU theory coming up. Slight spoilers for the first episode or two of Agent Carter. From Cap 2, we know that Hydra was working inside SHIELD from the beginning. So if the Agent Carter series sets up SHIELD the way that the Agent Carter short implied, we can expect to see more Hydra. Furthermore, there've also been references to Leviathan (the Soviet version of Hydra/SHIELD). So with Hydra and the Soviets around, it's only natural to assume that the Winter Soldier may be involved. Was he the one who killed Tony's parents? If so, that makes the personal conflict in Captain America: Civil War make total sense. Cap wants to save/protect Bucky, but Tony wants him to pay for his parents' murder.
  13. I think his point of view is interesting, but I also think that to some degree, he really doesn't get it. He's basically saying that no version of Wonder Woman aside from the original sex fantasy version has ever been good (or "correct" at least), and that it's wrong to treat her as a superhero. He even says he doesn't like Wonder Woman and isn't even interested in the character. I mean, clearly there have been creative problems with Wonder Woman for her entire history, but what Berlatsky says is basically throwing the baby out with the bathwater, then keeping a bit of the bathwater.
  14. In hindsight, along with with TNG's vision of the Federation, you could almost argue that Starfleet/the Federation didn't want to give focus to the less-positive people/aspects of humanity.
  15. Reach is an extremely underrated Halo game. Thumbs up.
  16. The thing is, though, it almost feels too obvious, like it's another swerve.
  17. - The Extended Director's Cut Edition Platinum Blu-Ray
  18. Vs Freddy vs Jason vs Lassie vs Flipper. v. Batman: Dawn of the Doctor.
  19. The Seventh Doctor vs. Sutekh vs. Alien vs. Predator. Duh.
  20. It comes off like a trailer that's trying to make the movie seem more dramatic than it is. Especially with those two lines from Rudd that are clearly meant to be comedic but don't hit because of how they contrast with the trailer's music and editing.
  21. I was trying so hard to make an anti-life joke there but it was 1AM and I was exhausted and gave up. Thank you. I kinda feel like that trailer basically tells us nothing about the actual tone and/or style of the movie, since the tone is pretty much all given through the editing. However, at the very least it does look different from every other Marvel movie, so there's that. (it's got some Iron Man in there, but only a bit)
