  1. Suspiria: The 2018 remake. I'm still not sure how I feel. It's definitely a good example of how to do a remake: Taking the general idea of the original film and making it into your own work. I think I loved it though it felt like they could have cut about 10-20 minutes in there. Also, Tilda Swinton should have totally gotten a nomination for her work here playing three different characters. Hell, the Make-up itself deserved a nomination. The Losers: Dumb fun. Chris Evans is good in nearly anything. Veronica Mars: Getting ready for season 4. It works. The Stepford Wives: Everyone here knows I love bad movies. This is one of those movies that are bad that I can't bring myself to love or even like but I still find myself watching every so often. I don't get it either. Films: 63 MST3K/Rifftrax Assisted: 2
  2. And they used what was my favorite of the adult chapters when I read the book for the trailer and sold me on it.
  3. If one actor is the best one to use to cover The Two Towers, it's this one. Other than that, Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a great performance. Topsy-Turvy is a good choice for a live-action performance.
  4. They're only doing 2 films in 2020: Mays 1st and November 5th. While nothing has been announced, both Black Widow and The Eternals are the only films slated to be filmed this year so they're the likely suspects.
  5. It's about what I expected from a Sonic Movie.
  6. Avengers: Endgame: I heavily enjoyed it. I have a ton of questions and theories but I really just need to talk them through with someone. Films: 59 MST3K/Rifftrax Assisted: 2
  7. Avengers: Infinity War: It's better than I felt it was after I first saw it last year. I still say it plays like a big Marvel comic book Antman & The Wasp: Fun movie if a little irreverent. The Incredibles 2: It's not the original which is it's biggest crime I guess. It's not a bad movie but parts feel like its treading the same ground as the original. My Big Fat Greek Wedding: I have no clue why I decided to watch this but I did. It's not a bad little romcom. Justice League vs The Fatal Five: It was nice seeing the old DCAU animation style and the return of the voice actors from JL and JLU was very nice. I wasn't expecting a story about dealing with mental illness and trauma though. Fairly good. Films: 58 MST3K/Rifftrax Assisted: 2
  8. Brief warning: Frank Cho (I feel like this won't come up if he googles his name like it would on Twitter) is on the panel and says some pretty scummy stuff. You have been warned.
  9. It seriously was one of the most fun panels of the weekend.
  10. Scream 2: Friends and I had an impromptu game/movie night. They asked me to pick a film. I got impatient about waiting for Halloween and they accidentally picked this over Showgirls and Jupiter Ascending. Always will love this, even if I know I'm gonna be watching it again later this year. Game Night: Wow, we all totally slept on this one. Outside of being genuinely hilarious, it's also a great action movie at times. There's a wonderful single shot sequence that must have taken weeks to choreograph! Love, Simon: Teenage Will needed this movie. Hit me right in the chest! Blockers: Massively surprised by how much I liked this. Its a sex comedy about teenagers and their parents and yet the kids are always treated with respect while the parents are actually pretty sympathetic despite trying to interfere with their daughters's sex lives. Also, John Cena is constantly surprising me with every non-action movie he does. Tag: It's an alright movie that then tries to go for being emotional in the last few minutes. It's okay, nothing special. Films: 53 MST3K/Rifftrax Assisted: 2
  11. *sigh* Guess it's time to mute a bunch of words from my timeline again.
  12. Teen Titans Go To The Movies: Considering the series is not exactly a work of art, this was still pretty fun and a lot better than it had any right to be. Despicable Me: Considering the films that came after it, not that bad. A little by the books but still got more than a couple of laughs. The Mighty Duck. D2: The Mighty Ducks, D3: The Mighty Ducks: I know nothing about Hockey and yet, this is one of my favorite trilogies of all time. It's also a textbook example of diminishing returns but that's beside the fact. Films: 48 MST3K/Rifftrax Assisted: 2
  13. Thanks everyone! I spent the day doing nothing and made Chicken Parm for dinner. It wasn't that bad.
  14. Tron Legacy: It's not a bad movie. It's nice to look at but there's like no real substance to it. Captain America: The Winter Soldier: Still probably one of the best Marvel Movies if not the best. Labyrinth: Always a fun movie. Films: 43 MST3K/Rifftrax Assisted: 2
  15. DC is adding around 3000 comics from the Golden, Silver, and Bronze age (basically everything they have thus far digitized) to the DC Universe platform this week. They're basically doing this as a stress test before eventually adding basically everything up until a couple of years ago by the end of the year.
  16. Shazam: One of the most fun Comic Book movies I've seen in years. Oblivion: A kind of silly Space Western from the 90s made by Full Moon. Fun enough. Clue: One of my favorite films of all time. I could literally watch it whenever and enjoy myself. Scream: One of my favorite films of all time. I could literally watch it whenever and enjoy myself. Troll 2: I figured we needed one real stinker last night and damn if this isn't a great choice for that slot. Still a So Bad It's Good kind of film! Films: 40 MST3K/Rifftrax Assisted: 2
  17. Honestly, it more seems like they're bringing back the elements that the audience liked and purging the rest. On that note: Idris Elba's character is not in fact Deadshot who is out of the picture for the... well... picture. So, to start pointless speculation: BRONZE TIGER!
  18. Viola Davis and Jai Courtney are both likely returning for The Suicide Squad.
  19. Into The Woods: Much better than I remembered. Still not as great as the stage musical but the actors do the best they can. I'm Just Fucking With You: It's a horror movie about an internet troll getting harassed by a serial killer on April Fool's Day. It's not as clever as it thinks it is or as fun as it pretends. Annihilation: Interesting to see and it's all together an interesting film. Great cast too! Society: I somehow had never heard of this film until I saw Des refer to it on Facebook. Holy shit this is some good paranoia horror and practical effects that made me feel squick! Venom: Better than I was expecting. Still not great but I'd watch it again with a couple of drinks and some friends. Films: 35 MST3K/Rifftrax Assisted: 2
  20. Would make sense with Shazam coming out this weekend.
