I was diagnosed with cancer 19 years ago today.

I had surgery to remove it on this day in 1997. They got it all with that surgery - it was confined to a single organ - and I was put into surveillance for five years. Nineteen years later, I am still cancer three.

That's one Spring Break I will never forget.

Hard to believe it's been almost twenty years now.
