RSS
Shotgun Saturday Night sees both one of the nastiest injuries in wrestling in a Legion of Doom / Godwinns match, but also a surprisingly good match pitting Crush, Savio Vega, and the debuting D'Lo Brown against the future ECW team of Aldo Montoya, Freddie Joe Floyd, and Steve Corino. From there Raw is War steps things up with Brian Pillman at his Loose Cannon best, Bret Hart cuts one of the best promos of his life, Owen Hart v Rocky Maivia for the Intercontinental Title, and Undertaker v British Bulldog. SteveJRogers
Track down Kevin Kelly's appearances on a podcast called Place To Be Nation, he eventually became a host of his own show over there as well.Anyway, anytime they talk about Michael Cole, or about what happened there, where Kelly was passed over for the Smackdown gig, there does seem to be a lot of resentment for how things ended up, and his eventually being let go by the company, and for Cole as well.So much so that he's been asked if he'd ever go back there, even with the promise of everything Cole does today on a silver platter, and he said that he wouldn't go back. Too much emotional baggage, especially since he has a full time occupation and ROH is more of a side gig for him today.Speaking of which, Corino seems to be in and out of podcasts all the time. He had one going on PTBN, but too much time with ROH and his indy fed in Crystal Coast, North Carolina, along with managing his son Colby's career, put that on permanent hiatus. He then showed up earlier this year on MLW, but I haven't heard much about it in recent months, and recently was brought on a Philadelphia Phillies fan podcast to talk baseball once a week! Follow him on Twitter, he is very entertaining on there.
