slothian
Yes, you can help influence not only the film Pandy & I use as the joint review, but the homework we assign each other to plot the range of their career. As announced in Episode 53, our subject will be Rutger Hauer. Pandy & I will take an executive decision on what makes the joint review on Saturday 23rd June so get your ideas in before then! NB) We won't be covering Batman Begins.

You Know Who
Spetters (1980) for his early career since it’s directed by Paul Verhoeven and the reaction to the film is apparently what drove him to Hollywood. Buffy for mid-career and Hobo with a Shotgun for his recent work.
Donomark
Oh, Blade Runner (the Director's Cut) for sure. He's the villain of the movie and delivers one of the most iconic monologues in cinema.

slothian
I think it helps that I've never seen Blade Runner.
org
Blade Runner, obvs, for a classy Hauer entry. Split Second for an amusingly cheap option, with Hauer chewing scenery made of Lidl's finest rice paper.
Donomark
Real Talk note, but if you guys do decide on Blade Runner, you cannot pick the theatrical version. Not speaking for any nerdy loyalty to whichever vision, but the theatrical version has a narration which will make it impossible to focus on the film. It's legendarily distracting, and was only added in at the last minute, explaining Harrison Ford's trademark "I don't wanna be here"ism.
