Missy
Anyone else willing to admit their addiction to these games?
Cheap Heat
My interest changes every couple of months, but it still is a good game.
Mr. Keith
I liked the first game, but the second and third ones I just couldn't stay into for longer than a month and a half. Cool series, but I just can't keep myself interested in them.
Cash
I hated the games. Shit all over them for the longest time... Then I played... And I couldn't stop until I had them all. I've only played the Red and Blue versions though.
James D.
At one point, I had Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold and Crystal at one time. I was addicted and I still have Gold and Crystal. I had an awesome line-up on my Crystal game. All level 100: Typhlosion (Fire) Suicune (Water/Ice) Lugia (Psychic/Flying) Electabuzz (Electric) Houndoom (Fire/Dark) Mewtwo (Psychic) I wish they'd make an online-compatible Pokémon game so people could go one-on-one with others anywhere. DanMan
Yeah, I'll come clean and admit I was addicted to the Pokemon games for a long time. I still have all the games from Red and Blue to Crystal, but I haven't played them in quite some time.
Luke
I was addicted to Blue, very very addicted. In my opinion, the first Pokemon games are two of the best games of all time in terms of addictiveness, and having created such a huge and immersive world on a mere Gameboy. I didn't enjoy Silver/Gold as much, maybe it was the fact that the game had lost some of it's innocence and become more of a simple marketing exersise, with the inclusion of 100 square more Pokemon and a new world. Still, facing off against Ash/Red at the very end of Gold/Silver was a severe markout moment. Maybe not as much as capturing Mewtwo, but still. Destruction D
I will have to admit, the pokemon series was hella fun. I still enjoy playing them once in a while on my free time, but i dont like them as much as I did when they first came out, it was almost like a drug. I couldnt stop playing them, untill i beat the games then i quit. Once is good enough. I still have all my games: blue, yellow, gold, crystal, and ruby. Pan-dub
Anyone excited for this:
James D.
I reserved the Y version. No reason except that I unabashedly love this series.
dc20willsave
With Pokemon titles, I'm rarely an opening day person. I usually actually wait to see which ones are exclusive to each version and use that to decide since, for example with original, I would rather have a Oddish than a Weepinbell. KnightWing
I've selected a red 3DS XL as my next big purchase, and Pokemon X will be my first game for it. I'm pretty excited.
Pan-dub
I don't know whether to get X or Y but knowing little about which Pokemon are exclusive to either version it might come down to a coin-flip. Ian and I had a poster of the original 150 Pokemon and weighed up which of Red or Blue we should get, but we've not done that for any game since. dc20willsave
This is the progression of Snorlax from Generation 1 through 6. I almost have to think this has become deliberate.
James D.
Wonder Trade, while mostly useless, is pretty neat. Just pawn off your useless low-level creatures on someone else. I've gotten a Honedge and a Cubone out of it.
James D.
Anyone want to trade 3DS Friend Codes? I'm trying to exploit the Friend Safari to its limit.
KnightWing
1736-1705-9823. Name might say either "Aaron" or "Echo Leader"; not sure which.
James D.
My new friend code is 3196-7320-4954 if anyone wants to re-add me. I had to get a new 3DS. Talk about a pain in the ass to transfer stuff over.
Pan-dub
Pokemon Moon and Pokemon Sun have been announced! No real details yet but I'm jumping on this hype train!
dc20willsave
So, what versions of Sun and Moon are everyone planning to get if they're getting the game? Leaning towards Sun right now.
Pan-dub
I'm getting Sun and the missus is getting Moon. Also I can recommend the demo!
Molly
I'm going Moon. I'll second the love of the demo.
