slothian Posted August 15, 2006 Report Share Posted August 15, 2006 This shouldn't surprise me, as "The Hitcher" is one of those under-the-radar films that Hollywood could probably justify remaking. That said, I don't agree with the protagonist being a female - it may be the inner-sexist in me, but I don't enjoy how every horror film has one plucky woman who somehow triumphs over some evil fuck. This film will also suffer from having no Rutger Hauer or Jennifer Jason Leigh, one of the most talented actresses there is nowadays. Even C. Thomas Howell was good. There's just no need.
