Stavros
Pretty damn awesome. Whedon is going to RULE this movie.
Missy
It starts out like a Transformers trailer, which initially made me wince. But the rest of it is wicked!
KnightWing
I just realized. That trailer shows some fancy new footage, but it doesn't actually reveal anything about the story we didn't already know. Hmm.
Molly
Thor about to slam Cap looks brutal. And the Hulk? I love that look.
Garfield
Samuel L. Jackson is Nick Fury. I still love that.
prez
Robert Downey Jr. OWNS that trailer.
You Know Who
Pretty damn awesome. Whedon is going to RULE this movie. Do bear in mind that Whedon has only ever directed one theatrically-released movie. It does look fantastic, though.
Molly
Yeah, and Serenity was fan-fucking-tastic.
Venneh
Wait till we get to that on BDH and you get to hear Preston verbally fellating Whedon AND Fillion. Just sayin'. For that matter, wait till we get to the Avengers when we cap off BDH.
MaxPower
I just realized. That trailer shows some fancy new footage, but it doesn't actually reveal anything about the story we didn't already know. Hmm. I think that's why I like it, nothing is given away, but it still builds a lot of excitement.
JackFetch
It's a teaser. It's not supposed to show much.

JackFetch
Marvel Studios announced today that the trailer for next summer’s most highly anticipated movie, “Marvel’s The Avengers,” has been downloaded over 10 million times in its first 24 hours on iTunes Movie Trailers (http://www.apple.com/trailers), shattering the most-viewed trailer record in the site's history. The trailer, which debuted Tuesday, October 11, exclusively on iTunes Movie Trailers, gives fans a sneak peak at “Marvel’s The Avengers”—the Super Hero team up of a lifetime—based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. The film unites the world’s greatest Super Heroes when Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) join S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Nick Fury (Samuel Jackson) to protect the world from the dangerously powerful villain, Loki (Tom Hiddleston). An exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is from Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures, produced by Kevin Feige and directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon. “Marvel’s The Avengers” will be released on May 4, 2012. Yeah, so people might be a little interested in this movie.

bobobob_100
Is it me or does Bruce Banner actually look like a scientist now instead of "action banner" from the last film?
James D.
I really, really dig that Bruce Banner poster.

Stavros
So.... Avengers- 4th May Spider-man- 3rd July The Dark Knight Rises- 20th July Pretty great Superhero Summer. WAY better than last year, likely even better than 2008 and the Iron Man/Dark Knight combo. And with no Harry Potter or Pirates movies it's hard to see how one of DKR or Avengers doesn't take the top spot (probably DKR, although the viral isn't going to work nearly as well without a Joker). Only real competition is from Madagascar 3 and Ice Age 406. Plus we have Prometheus, Brave, Star Trek 2, GI Joe, Expendables 2, Bourne Legacy and Total Recall. Looks pretty awesome. bobobob_100
two things about that dutch trailer. One not being racist, but i have a good ear and can tell the difference between voices most of the time, and all those voices sounded alike. Two, why can't we have that trailer in english? dc20willsave
First off, its in German. Second, its the international trailer. Sometimes they just like using different footage for different markets. Lastly, sorry about the crud link. Phone posting is an iffy procedure. Venneh
One, it's German, and as far as I can tell, most of it is narrated by Tony Stark. There are subtle differences in the male voices, though. (Also, if you preface something with I'm not racist but, it usually means the opposite) Two, because we'll be getting the footage we didn't have in that one in another one of the many trailers we'll have before May. Onto the trailer itself, liked that there's more of Marc Ruffalo as Hulk, that's the one thing I felt was really missing from the first trailer. Otherwise, mostly the same, but glad to see more of Ruffalo, he's looking more convincing. Also, apparently the Black Widow/Ruffalo scene was what was shown at NYCC?
