TheRetreater
I hate trailers on dvds before the main menu. just thought I'd share, all angry-like.
Missy
Worse than trailers are the commercials! I don't mind them at movie theaters, but on DVDs... :grumble:
JackFetch
The sad thing is that they were taken to court about it and they ruled that the movie company has the right to put anything they want before the movie, and they can make them so the user can't skip them. I believe it was Disney that was taken to court.
Chops
What I hate the most is when you can't skip or fast forward past them.
Dread
What I despise are the anti-piracy commercials. It's like "fuck! I already rented it or bought it, what more do you want from me." And the comparison between the bigscreen TV with the surround sound and the movie theatre saying how it's not the same. They're right, it's not the same, when there's an annoying kid crying or talking during the movie it's my kid. There's no one talking on their cellphone or kicking my chair. I'll go back to the theatre when they cut theprices in half, not before.

I agree with everything you say about the theater, but the anti-piracy thing is there because when you copy the disc, it goes with it on a straight copy. Most pirates just rip the movie and ignore everything else anyways. The reason movie prices went up in the beginning was because they had to refit theater's to have handicap access and such. I don't know why they are still going up. Probably because of the technology involved in them these days.
Aaron Robinson
Or because they like money. I'm not a fan of piracy ads, but I'm fine if I can skip it. It's only when I can't actually skip the damn thing that I get annoyed.
